its giving forbidden love bc your families are rival pirate gangs or some shit

(Spoiler warning) soukoku but fixed up so it can fit in the story cuz there's only one way this ship could work out canonically and that is being unrequited/ one-sided Chuuya fell first. He didn't like Dazai at first but then of course he fell in love. It was in the dragonhead incident that he realized he liked Dazai after Shibuwasa killed his friends. He said that he opened an old bottle of wine when Dazai left the Port mafia for his celebration of what happened but really in the back of his head he was just sad but he was just too stubborn to actually accept his feelings (he knew it was love but in denial). Then fast forward to present day Chuuya still keeps running back to Dazai especially after the one where Dazai got captured and when Chuuya pulled his head closer to his he just knew he was still not over him after 4 years and couldn’t bring himself to put a knife through Dazai’s throat when he easily could have. Dazai on the other hand, was somewhat oblivious to his feelings to Chuuya and Chuuya’s to him. Dazai fell for Chuuya sometime before the Oda drama. He couldn’t put a name on the feeling he feels around Chuuya because he’s always in that perpetual state of neutrality, he knows Chuuya is special to him so still lets Chuuya run to him. But also stubborn like Chuuya and accept his “giddy feelings”. Fast forward to ch. 101 (yes we are using that for character development) he finally realizes he liked Chuuya this whole time like a boy pulling a girl’s pigtails in the playground because he likes her Tw: Dazai and chuuya certainly did spend nights together on that sense. Dazai uses chuuya to “relieve” himself ifykyk. Both are aware of their toxic relationship but chuuya always comes back even though dazai doesn’t explicitly asks for it, but knowing dazai he manipulates chuuya’s feelings to want him. They only spend those night for their own benefit, for chuuya it is to see dazai, for dazai it’s to escape from reality and make him feel “human”. Four years later, when they meet again, they aren’t as stupid as they were back when they were teenagers but it definitely still happens. Like they start to get it going then chuuya just runs away in the middle of it, then both acts like nothing happened last time they met up.

Dazai in real life the author wrote about having a crush on a boy when he was 15, and when did Dazai and Chuuya meet? 15! In real life, the one who got teased all the time was actually Dazai! Chuuya just teased him. In the anime, the roles are basically reversed. ( Dazai in the manga said "and that's why I love you Chuuya" they only knew each other for at least 20 minutes, and Dazai definitely fell first / on the book he joked that he didn't want to die anymore due to Chuuya, etc. He also thinks of corruption as beautiful, "Even Dazai forgot to breath when he saw the storm that was Chuuya decimate the battlefield" ) I don't wanna spoil chapter 105 but Dazai u really thought water could- Anyways I enjoyed reading ur fanfiction here I loved it. You awakened me to share cute facts in the manga and book with you to name ur day with soukoku.
