I agree, that we don’t know each others bodies because we don’t live in them, *therefore* , it would’ve been much more appropriate had he spoke on just the males perspective or even suggest that she reach out for a 40 year-old man’s perspective (I see some of them making it clear that 1. they’re not sexless and 2. their partners don’t have to be 15-20 years younger then them to get it up 👀 bravo 👏🏾 ..). I know there’s more to them than their content, but they honestly don’t give the impression of knowing much about long-term relationships. Sexually experienced, yes. Not James and Fuhad, but if OP is reading this try to get your hormones and his tested. Met a lot of people who got a high sex drive at 50-60s and low sex drive at 20-30s. It really can vary depending on your health not only physically but also MENTALLY (not just things like depression but stress and worries) also as women approach the menopause it can hit everyone differently (again, met women whose sex drive went to the roof and women whose sex drive went to the floor). But on top of that, let's work with HONESTY: voice out your needs, tell him how you feel, let him tell you how he feels and work together to have both satisfied as you both are building a life together.

When you're in your 20s you're very afraid because you don't want to be called names or want people to think you've been around the block. But in your 30s and 40s you don't care. What on earth are you talking about? For men, attractiveness is inextricably tied to youth and fertility. Therefore, 40 is old for women. Also, we need to define what "prime" means here. While women may have their highest sex drive in their 40s, that is hardly their prime as determined by the sexual marketplace. You could say that a woman reaches her "sexual prime" in her 40s, but, unfortunately, that is when a woman's SMV is near its lowest. This is of course OK is a woman is already married by then, in which case her husband can satisfy her needs; but a 40yo woman in the dating market thinking she's in her prime and can bag 20yo men is delusional.

Compromise really is the solution… as a woman in my 30s who experienced this problem with my last boyfriend. She’s gotta figure out why sex is the main go-to for her to feel intimacy/desirability. Sure, she can say she’s in her prime, but sex also serves a psychological and emotional function in a relationship… he’s gotta step it up a bit, and she’s gotta back down a little. If that doesn’t work, just ask to open up the relationship… and somehow he’ll find it in him to add that extra day

So the compromise had to come from both sides… or we could always renegotiate that part of our relationship. It wasn’t a threat, so much as a possible solution to the problem, which he obviously chose to decline

I'm 48 and I ran through a lot in my younger years so I "Seen some things". My wife (also 48), be shaking her head because she can't keep me off of her. Yes, time has taken a toll and some pain has set in but I be working through all that! If I die I die!!! Now, it might not be twice a day but it's definitely 3- 4 times a week. Recently we hit 3 in one day. It's all about the chemistry.
