Just watched it today, and honestly, it was better than I thought it would be. Exceeded my expectations beautifully.

My theater was flooded with children and I have to say they were LOVING the movie.

I watched it earlier today Might legit be my new favorite movie

For the Peach thing, it sounds like if they did a sequel they could do the whole save the princess deal, but then they could pull a The Suicide Squad and have Peach break out herself and join the Mario Bros for the climax. Sounds like the ideal way to get in references and make it more traditionally Mario without ruining the new character of Peach I haven't seen the movie yet, but it sounds like this would fit

God PLEASE WE NEED MORE YOSHI!!!. I'm hoping they do it lol we only got like... one single scene showing all of the Yoshis running in the background and that was it!

I just saw the Mario Movie today and I have to say… I liked it. I went to see it with a couple of close friends and I had a good time. I’d give the movie a solid 8/10. I do have issues with the fast pacing. I felt like the movie should’ve been a few minutes longer to let some scenes breath, and the story overall leaves a lot to be desired; but overall, it was a good movie. The voice performances were great, the music was fantastic, and the visuals and set pieces were very detailed. This is definitely Ilumination’s best work to date. As for whether I like the Mario Movie over the Sonic Movies, it’s hard to say. I don’t like comparing them since the Mario and Sonic Movies go for different presentations and styles. The Mario Movie going for a more faithful adaptation whereas the Sonic Movies try and do their own thing. At the end of the day, I still like both series’s movies and I’m overall glad that video game movie adaptations are finally good.

Just watched the movie a few minutes ago, really liked it The only thing I would chance is for Yoshi, toadette, Daisy, Rosalina and Funky kong to make appearances, I mean, diddy, Dixie and even CHUNKY made an appearance in the movie, and that random Luma that was there for no explained reason just made me feel like Rosalina was gonna appear in the third act and wreak havoc or something, idk I wish they had more. Here’s hoping the second one introduces those characters, and who knows? Maybe even Geno or Dimentio could appear, with Dimentio being a great option for the next major villain of the next movie if they decide to sideline Bowser.

It’s on my best video game movies list! F**K the pessimists! This movie was amazing! 4000/10 would watch more times! I was smiling like an idiot the entire time!

Who doesn't love the movie? Aside from the critics of course but those doesn't count.

This movie im having such a hard time with because I love those reference as a big Mario Movie but the character dynamics are just so lacking. I love Luigi and Mario's dynamic and even Kemek and Bowser's I just wish like Toad did more. I felt super joyful from not just noticing Mario things but also side cast like Eric Bauza, John Dimaggio and even Scott Menville but so many things they could have done to develop the world just not used. like the mushroom kingdom for example. Its got lots of cool Mario things in the background but doesn't really feel like a city. Like for example the RPG's do a great job at developing the Mushroom Kingdom. Its not just a million Mario things in the background they really have there own society and unique area. Even something like the Kong city just felt slightly lacking. Like you have Rambi/rinos which could have worked perfectly as like vehicles instead of karts. Even stuff from the DK Country show could have been used in the background like imagine Bluster Kong's barrel factory to develop that area. I guess I feel like the background elements were more just gameplay references rather then using cool like Mario and DK locations and settings. I will say I do really like how Diddy Kong seems to sound exactly like his TV show voice. Like I think the missing Toadsworth is such a great example like why is he not there. There is litterally no reason he shouldn't be. And if King Bob Omb and King Boo are their at the royal wedding why aren't K Rool and Wart there? I know it sounds like more references but it could help like develop the world more showing theirs more evil kings then just two. It really does just feel like nothing feels fully developed which is upsetting like seeing Mario get less annoyed by Toad in the movie would be great. Like a Mario and Toad argument scene would have been impactful. Imagine before Mario fell into the water the last thing him and Toad did was argue. Maybe Toad feels sad the last time he saw Mario was just Mario annoyed at him. I really do hope though with the DK Movie they develop that DK world more. I think adding a character like Bluster Kong would be a good idea because DK having a rival who is the opposite of him could work really well for a movie. Plus if they feature Candy Kong that show did develop her a lot more than any of the games have. Like for example the whole Crystal Coconut thing just works perfectly for a DK movie. It would help make K Rools motives different from Bowser as maybe he doesn't want power over everything he just wants power over DK island. I would classify it as a 7/10 movie but man I just wish the characters interacted more. WIth a more developed world that isn't just references in the background.

"I dunno why people are upset about Peach." Well, some of it is about saying it's okay to be girly and feminine, which is understandable. The rest of it, however, is just crying about her not being a damsel in distress and other dumb stuff, but they completely forgot about that the moment they decided it was "anti-woke," because of course they did.

It’s out? I can’t wait to see it

There is one Toad that Toad calls Chanterelle while he and Mario are going through Toad Town, but that could just be a nickname for all we know.

As much fun as I had, the character bloat is a huge problem. Is this an hour and a half movie or a Shonen Jump Manga? Maybe if it was just Mario, Luigi, Peach and Bowser it could truly be great but as is it's slightly above mid.
