Had a match where my team struggled, one player practically throwing in the towel. Then with less than a minute to go, the enemy team decided to add insult to injury by taking the RM back to their pedestal, declaring victory. So I came out of spawn, swam past my defeatist teammate, waltz into enemy territory, charged up my special, smiled as I saw two inevitable pursuers die to my teammates who by now were on board with my efforts, approach the enemy pedestal where my overconfident foe was dancing, killed the fool, killed his teammate who was likely begging him to not be stupid, popped the shield, and planted the rainmaker to the cheers of my teammates. And yes I got it all clipped to watch and share with others. :)

In splatoon 1 literally every time they just stand near the rain maker and I always have to pick it up

A few days ago I was playing rainmaker on camp triggerfish (mind you I was on c rank cause I just got the game) and we literally wiped out the enemy team so I activated the ink rail so the rainmaker can reach the pedestal, but the rainmaker was like "frick the pedestal I'mma shoot this rainmaker like there's an enemy in front of me" I even spammed this way at her. She was literally right next to the ink rail. And then "we lost the rainmaker" *sigh* well we still one but I'm still mad about that

Rainmaker is fun... except for when you have bad teammates (which is every match) that steal the rainmaker from you, rush, and immediately die and give it to the other team.

I won a match in 30 seconds and then immediately proceeded to lose one in 30 seconds.

There’s been a count of 30 times I’ve rushed towards the rain maker (Intending to body guard whoever gets it) only to pick it up and get splatted by some mystery Tenta-Missiles.

2:29 i played with that guy a few times too, always on my team. remember to use splatnet's report feature.

But seriously someone grab the rainmaker

Or when you get a pretty good team but the other time kills everyone and ends the match in seconds ;-;

Same here! It's my best mode, and it's especially fun when I grab the rainmaker and my teammates fail to protect me because they've been the opposite side of the map the whole time. Also, what I love about Splat Zones is that my teammates are never there to protect the zone while i'm sitting there on the Blackbelly Skatepark middle tower inking the zone for my dear life.

In Splat Zones, i love having to sometimes get the zone all by yourself

Now I can just imagine all those rollers singing the campfire song :'D The only thing about rainmaker is when your team are allergic to it and refuse to go near it 😭

Tbh Rainmaker is the hardest mode for me, when your a really slow roller and try to wake the sharks, someone comes up with N-Zap or a blaster and completely obliterate me :,). How is the sea bass extinction event going?

I just love how I sometimes get a KO, even in S and S+, as well as how it is the only mode at which I don’t really suck (ok it’s the only one where my teammates don’t suck)

I love Splat Zones! I just love the fact that I routinely get slapped out of S+ entirely because no one is on the objective, fight my way out of S rank, then the process begins again :-) As for Rainmaker, it was the first mode I got to X Rank in. If there's one thing that Etce videos have taught me, it's that it does NOT matter if your special gauge is full - if the rainmaker is open and available, you'd BETTER take it, or the enemy team will. They will not hesitate to make you eat your mistake..

I prefer escorting the rainmaker and yelling at my teammates to go a certain direction while I attempt to get kills XD

I often use a tenta brella in this mode, and I like the charge the bubbles special and combine that with the canopy to help pushes, and with a fully charged special my team members often expect me to pick up that stupid rainmaker for some reason.

Ooogh, that's annoying. But really, you're a tent, your job is to protect THEM, and they don't get that if they want you to be carrying the darn thing!

I like how you can stand in one spot with the rainmaker when you are above the enemies in maps like manta Maria and that you can get a bombardement ready by shooting the thing up lol

I was the 200th like! Also the rainmaker rains on my day, and even harder on my rank; it is true the matches end the fastest in rankmaker, but my rank does too

what i like the most about RM is that object shred works on the shield, adds an extra 10% damage onto it, mix that with bubble blower or breaking enemy splash walls and brellas, plus a lot of the time RM maps have sponges and rails which are also shred-able, sadly i am awful at carrying unless you want it thrown off the stage, which can be useful if you need to force an aggressive enemy team back since that returns it to the start

Kelp dome. Noun. A stage in both splatoon games. Eg. "We played rainmaker on kelp dome." Kelp dome. Verb. To grab the rainmaker and go left on the grates to win the game in 20 seconds. Eg. "We are going to kelp dome the other team."

I love rainmaker because it’s so fast paced and I can use my swim speed set for something at least- it’s also my favorite mode, it used to be splat zones

Instead of working all night, especially since I have more hours this week, I’m watching this. No regrets.

I can't wait for Alphastar's voice to drop

i love that rainmker is the most team based mode even when all 3 of your teammates go in different directions when you have the rainmaker

I love how inklings look so confused when they dunk the rainmaker

When the Rainmaker shield is popped, I usually try to get it if I can because I have a unique way of using it. I usually aim the Rainmaker to shoot under me so that way it will splat whomever is trying to take it. This usually helps us win the match and most rollers get Rick Rolled by me manning the Rainmaker. When in ranked modes other than Splat Zones, I main the Clear Dapple Dualies. (In Splat Zones I main the Camo Tenta Brella.)

Rainmaker is a my second least favourite ranked mode. So it’s safe to say that I love rainmaker as well. My favourite is Splat Zones, which is the next one you’re doing. You could mention stuff about people using a special weapon which could take over the entire zone, but using it when the entire enemy team is dead or throwing a Booyah bomb on the zone when it’s already your ink.

I actually love this mode...

i remember one time that one of my teammates had the rainmaker and was going to OUR base. i pressed "this way" so many times that game

I remember using Tenta Brella whenever the rain maker was on a ramp, I could just push them back and they die. I felt powerful.

that's funny because every single time I play rainmaker in my teammates are by me that we always don't know who's going to choose it so I just start the run away

Usually I stay at the enemy teams goal aka our pedestal and when I noticed our team isn't winning I usually just give up grab the rainmaker and leg it to the goal and usually win because the end team is distracted by trying to fight

I too love rainmaker, Alpha! Except when teammates don't pick it up, go the wrong way, don't reset it when the enemy is *LITERALLY* one inch away from the goal, and getting wiped by the rainmaker shield first. Other than that, I love it. :'))

What I love about rainmaker is your teammates not following you when you have the rainmaker so you get instantly killed and squid bagged by the enemy team. but in all honesty it's my 2nd favorite mode because it can be a lot of fun to use the rainmaker itself

I love rainmaker on maps like Moray Towers. Someone's won before the other team can say make it rain.

I honestly prefer the kensa dynamo roller because its kit can prevent pushes with the bomb and can get some turf covered with the sprinkler and thanks to the buff it got I think it's a perfect weapon for this mode

i freaking swear when i play backline everyone is literally fighting to take the damn thing. like that jr is like no ink amour for this push lolz i hate how much you need your team in this mode :(
