Me: “Yay! My friend in Pennsylvania has released a new thrifting video!” Husband: Cuts eyes at me and shakes his head. Me: “I love these “traverse with me as I treasure hunt” videos. They are interesting and oddly relaxing. I always learn new info about vintage/ antique pieces from Scott!” Husband: Silently accepts my verbal response and quietly returns to “How to make my lawn greener” and “improving my golf swing” You Tube videos. 😂 Me: 🙌🏼🙌🏼. Quite happy “virtual” thrifting! Thank you for keeping me enlightened and entertained You are a treasure! God bless you!

@@mamiebobb4173 NO KIDDING! My granddaughter's 2 grandmas divide up the week. It makes us less likely to snort at the third wrong answer from the same child with a perennially green booger encrusted nose or sigh noisily when the first graders have to report out on the same toy every day for a week. I am at once gobsmacked at the cheer, skill & patience of the teacher, horrified at the vast difference in skill levels, annoyed by the pop music & shocked at the advanced curriculum of reading and math lesson plans. You got some great finds. You would have had a blast with me on Tuesday Shopping. I did my sourcing run and both Goodwill locations were packed with goodies. Hi Scott, I'm new to your channel. So much enjoyed watching your video and learning. I loved the inclusion of how you wash the items and show us the lovely clean items at the end. I liked that you displayed them and gave us an explanation of each item. It just rounds off the shopping very well to the end. It would be great if many other people I love to watch who produce their thrifting videos, would do the same. It gets a bit crazy watching a person fill a trolley full of stuff but never actually really see each item cleaned with an explanation. This inclines me to want to buy the item more. I guess it's a time factor. I hope you enjoyed your cup of tea and ginger snap, and rested your eyes. Happy greetings from Germany.

When you showed the bottom of it, I was reminded of an article I read in a 1950's McCall's magazine that offered the tip of using the bottom of a decorative cup as a cookie cutter ! This video was just SO fun Scott, thank you so much for the effort and patience it takes to make these. I've learned so much. Also my mom got a glass light fixure from a relative's house, and most everything in there was original. Scott, thank you for staying in your comfort zone. You always give your reasoning for purchasing, shipping challenges, and why you leave contemporary/decor for others. I think people truly don’t understand how so many resellers get themselves into having large low margin hoards and “dead piles”. You are one of a few that actually looks up comps in your decision making process. I hope the rings drink set is old.

YES, YES, YES! You "get it" Rickey. It feel great to be understood! So many folks just don't understand and are shocked and sometime annoyed when I don't purchase modern things that have value. What can I say....I have absolutely no interest in anything new. I've loved antiques all of my life and I'm thrilled to leave modern things for others to discover. And I totally agree about thinking 3 times before spending money. I too know many resellers who pay thousands of $$$ a year on storage units to simply house their "junk" or death piles. Low margin hoards will ruin a business and cause one to become a hoarder. So thank you for understanding.

I wonder where the good brick brac is ending up? I am not seeing much of anything good on the shelves in brick brack anymore. I donated a nice haul of my mother’s antiques, mans dishware, and framed pictures and the stuff never made it to the shelves or inside the store. Do you know how stuff is dispersed?
