Actor Frank Nelson (waiter) played so many hilarious roles on “I Love Lucy.” In addition to being Betty Ramsey’s husband when the Ricardos moved to CT, he played the customs inspector when Lucy disguised a cheese as a baby. The way he booms, “A piece of CHEESE!” always cracks me up.

He also played Freddie Felmore the game show host on 1 maybe 2 episodes & the train conductor when Lucy, Ricky, Fred & Ethel take the train back to New York from Hollywood. He made a total of 11 appearances on the show.

Ethel was supposed to be older and look dowdy next to Lucy, but she looks very slim and fashionable in this episode.

The restaurant scene was one of the first I Love Lucy scenes I watched as a young fan (14 years). I was in stitches. I thought it was hysterical. I wanted to see the rest of the episode and it wasn’t as funny.

She was. Earlier in the episode at the apartment when she comes out from the bedroom and asks “where are you going to dinner?” you can see she’s wearing her belt up high and her stomach is sticking out. 🙂
