Haha, I had 12 dozen diapers. I had to wash at least 3 times a week. I got the fabric and made all of them myself. Saved a lot of money. No diapers rash.
Lucy is such a classic show but sometimes they miss the mark when it comes to contrivances. The machine later breaks down in the episode and the Mertzes refuse to pay for the machine even though it happened while in their possession. Legally, the Mertzes are still on the hook for the dough and that should be the end of it. But then someone is willing to pay even more for it so they start fighting over it. It's a funny resolution though.
