Hi everyone, Welcome to @HELLOJULIE ! Today, I'm going to show you how to make one of the popular Korean street food, Korean-style hog dog. It’s so satisfying with a variety of cheese and toppings. You won’t regret it once you taste it!
Ingredients for 10 hot dogs:
• 1 cup water
• 1 3/4t dry yeast
• 2T sugar
• 2T oil
• 2 cup all-purpose flour
• 1/2t salt
• 6 Sausages
• mozzarella & cheddar cheese
• 1 potato for 2 potato hotdogs
• Breadcrumbs
• Ketchup
• Honey mustard
• 5T Sugar for the last stage (sugar shower)
Instructions:
1. Put the dry yeast and sugar to warm water and wait until the yeast is fermented with bubbles
2. Add oil, sugar, flour and salt and whisk well until the batter is thick and sticky
3. Rest the batter for 1 hr in room temperature for fermentation
4. Skew the ingredients
#1. Sausage+Cheddar cheese version
#2. Cheese lover version
#3. Half&half version: Sausage+Mozzarella cheese
#4. Original Sausage-only version
5. Preparation for hot dogs with potato: Chop the potato in 1/4” size cube and cook them in microwave for 2 min and mix with 1T of flour
6. Coat the hot dogs in the sticky batter and roll them in panko breadcrumbs
In case of hot dog with potatoes, put the potato cubes to the hot dog with batter and roll them in panko breadcrumbs
7. Deep fry the hot dog by flipping them all sides until golden brown (140℃/284℉)
8. Dust with sugar and Drizzle with Ketchup and honey mustard
