I literally gave up on ranked because of this reason. What's the point of working hard for so long to skip at least one rank only to be sent back by two. And there is nothing you could do about it

This awful tragedy has hurt my heart

I also hate rank up battles. Been trying to get into S+ the last two seasons but for whatever reason whenever I get to a rank-up battle the game likes to put me on teams with the worst weapon comps imaginable. Like yes Splatoon, I'm sure my team of two N'Zaps, a Snipewriter, and a JR can win. We'll sit under our shield and have a soda party :D If not that, then I'll go 2-2 and in my deciding game we'll be making good progress towards victory and then give me a connection error for an automatic loss. Love this game. Funny thing is, I don't even care about unlocking X Battles, or what rank I am in general. The only reason why I want to get into S+ so bad is because I think the gold anarchy badge would look nice on my splashtag lmao

I had a blast with mine. If I remember correctly it was clam blitz. I've never enjoyed it. Unfortunately I had to use tetra dualies since I'm not as good with my most used weapons. But I did rank up to S and did indeed have fun. You do not want to hear those creepy giggles that came out of me.

It’s easily done; in both modes you collect golden objects spawned on the map; my relative frequently refers to the golden eggs in Salmon Run, as ‘Clams’. In the opinion of my relative, Clam Blitz and Salmon Run, are the modes with the most similarity.
