Man, Alberto is a brilliant actor in my opinion. The way he showcases sadness and pain through the way he projects his voice and tone, along with his facial expressions. This scene brought me to tears.

Gallo has a really sad background, scared and orphaned as a child due to a fire. I'm glad that he opened up to Casey so that he can at least understand why he does what he does

Jesse Spencer was amazing in this scene. I love seeing Casey taking on Boden's role. A mentor. A leader. A father. And yes I think Gallo has the makings of a great firefighter.

I really hope they aren’t setting the foundations in place where Boden dies in the line of duty and Casey becomes his successor as chief of firehouse 51. It’ll be sad if that happens

@@fujisimian13 That's been my thought since season 6. They're setting up Boden's death. But then Otis died so I'm not so sure anymore. I guess it would depend on the show's longevity and Jesse Spencer's desire to continue in the role of Casey.

Sarah Brown yeah I figure if everything works out this plot would occur at the series finale. The last few episodes would deal with Boden’s death whether it be on the job or illness (I.e cancer like his dad). The entire house dealing with such a loss and especially Casey dealing with the loss of the father figure in his life. Then he reads bodens will or a just in case letter and he is motivated to carry on bodens legacy taking all the advice and teachings boden instilled in him over the series and the final scene is with station 51 responding to an alarm call and everyone rolls out with Casey now as chief in the car all going to the site just like how the series in the pilot began with 51 responding to a call

Sarah Brown Or boden doesn’t have to die he could instead decide to retire and be at peace with that decision because he’s been grooming Casey all these seasons to be his successor. See ride eventually decides to move on to OFI as a captain. Herman becomes the new captain at 51, and Stella becomes the Lt also becoming the leader boden believes her to be

My heart goes to Gallo and the entire house 51. Losing a loved one is horrible, and is one of the absolute toughest wounds to heal. I love people I know, regardless if they are my family by blood or not. Because I care and have some kind of bond with them. Remember all the good times you have with your loved ones, and cherish each and every moment of it.

Scene had me in tears.... as well as Severide and Cruz but those were happy tears 😢

Poor Gallo Casey is a great leader

Good video and good episode. That's sad that gallo lost his whole family in a fire

the story that he never tells about his family that was killed in a fire. it had to be hard to tell the captain what he really felt. and why he reacted to that fire. I need him to know that no matter what it is not his fault hat his family dies, he just reacted. Maybe there was a reason why his family was killed and not him and he has not figured out the reason why yet.

I want gallo and Ritter to stay for a lot more seasons. I don’t want a repeat of Jimmy and Chili when they only made it through one season. I know they weren’t beloved characters but I don’t want the new kids to last one season and I want them to last longer than Mills did which was only 3 seasons

I think Gallo and Ritter have a couple of more seasons to go. In Season 9 they added Violet to the mix. Gallo, Ritter, and Violet make a great trio and bring youthfulness into Firehouse 51.

Great show Chicago Fire I watch it every day just like the other two Chicago Med police love you I'm a fan

He is gonna be a great firefighter and probably leader if they keep him around

I've seen Jesse Spencer in House MD and Chicago fire. In both series, the common thing to be noted, he shapes himself to be a good leader. In house MD, he took the position of Dr House. Now he is turning himself to be a good leader just like chief Boden.

I vote for Lucas Black to be added to the cast of Chicago Fire. He could play a character named Lucas Terry and be Gallo's partner on the show. Lucas was just killed off on NCIS New Orleans and a lot of fans of that show are upset about it. Because so many NCIS New Orleans fans loved Lucas, Chicago Fire's ratings would soar even higher with this cast addition.
