I'm glad you didn't loose the drone in the city, that was a little scary. I liked the city footage, but I preferred your flight and footage you captured in the mountains. Great video, and thanks for sharing.

You're right about flying in the city, Sean. I do it all the time, especially at night, and it IS nerve racking. One of the guys in our group likes to fly his Avata at sunset in downtown Houston. He's had to go "find" it at least one time that I know of when it got away from him. But most times it's just a good time. Amazing video once again!

I just crashed my DJi Mini 2 into a building flying from the Penthouse the wind literally took off with it ! Never again . 😂 been flying for over 2 years never doing that again . Just got a new one !!

I have abused my mini 2 in some crazy winds but still close and some further. I’ve been impressed with it. Especially compared to the 1. kzread.info/dash/bejne/eHVlp8qAh7bPebg.html kzread.info/dash/bejne/eatkt6xqnJPgoJs.html That second video is the further away and 1st is extreme test closer by. Sorry you lost yours. :(

Advice: Throw some cheap snow shoes in the back of the truck in case you have to go tromping through the snow to find a downed drown. I've used mine!

I fly in the 3rd spot or similar a lot once the snow melts away. Which is finally starting to happen. So stay tuned.

Totally agree with your panic over flying in the city! For what it's worth I always open my sunroof when sitting in my car. (if you have one!). Seems to help the signal.

That one building got between me and the signal just wasn’t happy. Luckily I had my rth still set to my mountain height. Lol.

Same here Sean. I’m not a fan of flying in the city either. I guess I just don’t do it enough and that’s OK I’ll stick to the country.

Just repetition. Also think if it was a regular camera drone it would have felt a bit less sketchy. Not as fun though.

Not very hard. Lots of google info on it. Tap some buttons and your off to flying.

I normally check all that before I take off. Just glad it was set to my mountain settings as they are much higher than the buildings. Lol.

KZread was part of what tore me and Gina apart after ten years. She was very supportive of it but I went so in it for the future I forgot to live in the present. I have changed that about myself now. Which is why u see me posting less.

Awesome video man, I also lost connection to my Dji Avata. It entered RTH but my RC controller was unable to reconnect; it landed safely but bad a panic attack when I realized I had no control

The rth was the big issue I was worried about. If I had the height not set to my mountain height it would have been a bad day. Luckily I did so I guess the rth saved me after all.

I just flew that same building the other day that I’m working on the video for with my air 2S

Flying from inside your vehicle appears to be very comfortable, but doesn't it add to the hazzard level of flying your drone in challenging environments? Thanks for sharing your flights.

It has not. If I know I’m flying in an area in the mountains that I need a different angle to keep signals than I go we’re I need to be.

I used to get nervous doing the mountains years ago. Till I accepted that if it went down it was just gone forever. Even though in the city I try and map a flight away from crowds and traffic it still freaks me out if it goes down it’s probably gone but that what if factor. That one random person just might be in the wrong spot. 😳
