Some important question. Unfortunately when the establishment want to cover their tracks they are very usually highly competent.

Watching this I feel like Peter Francis is the best thing that happened to the MET, he's so obviously scrupulous and honest and willing to keep saying that as an organisation they're not institutionally corrupt. They on the other hand seem to be determined to smear him and threaten him with legal action. Who's running their PR dept? They don't appreciate what they've got there at all.

Sounds like a total fuckup to me! Why would the met not want to solve this crime? Unless they we're trying to hide errors? We all make mistakes.... Owning them is a different story!!

Corruption. Certain corrupt officers had been working with Clifford Norris (father of David) prior to the murder of Stephen. People knew too much and were easily persuaded to derail the case or change its direction.

Perhaps the 5 white gang guys knew something about the police, or were working with them, and Lawrence witnessed something, we will never really know sadly.

@@emmawild2808 It wasn't anything as complicated as that Emma. There are ony two reasons why Stephen Lawrence died. He was in the wrong place at the wrong time, and he was black. It was as simple as that Emma. The investigation went up and down like a Yo Yo for many years. Then all of a sudden it took another interesting turn when allegations of police corruption being involved was thrown into the mix. Most people think that police and criminal partnerships are the stuff of movies Emma, but it couldn't be more real. If you wanna expand your knowledge about this sort of thing, I highly recommend that you do some research into a East London OCG (organised crime group) known as either the 'Canning Town Firm' or 'The Hunt Syndicate'. The boss of the Canning town firm is a fella called David Hunt. Then do some research into a ex metropolitan police detective called David Mckelvey. Crimelord David Hunt is so powerful and dangerous that Scotland Yard have publicly admitted that he's too big and too powerful to bring down. McKelvey already knew the Met was infested with corrupt officers working hand in hand with Davey Hunt, but he was determined to try and bring Hunt to justice. Mckelvey ended up with a price on his head. Davey Hunt put a £1,000,000 (yes,..one million) hit on Mckelvey and two or three others from his team. Mckelvey received the info about the contract put on him from a very reliable source. He was left in no doubt whatsoever that this wasn't just a threat to get him to back off. Mckelvey went to his superiors with all the evidence he had of Davey Hunt putting out a hit on him, but instead of using the information as a good excuse to atleast pull Hunt in for questioning, they closed ranks and protected Davey Hunt. And to make the cover up look more authentic, they even launched an internal investigation into Mckelvey operating as a corrupt officer.! David Mckelvey ended up being forced to retire from the Metropolitan police and he's been under 24hr armed police protection ever since. Then once you've looked into the relationship/connection between London crimelord David Hunt and Met detective David Mckelvey, read the 'TIBERIUS REPORT' Emma...? The rumours and allegations of high level corruption within the Met police, eventually lead to an internal investigation. The investigation was named 'Operation Tiberius'. Tiberius was a detailed internal investigation into relationships between met police officers and powerful OCG's. It was a top secret file that was never meant to be seen by the public, but someone leaked it Emma. If you google ' tiberius report ' Emma, it's all there in a PDF. If you follow the three things I've told you to look into...... 1: David Hunt, Canning town firm 2: David Mckelvey, former Met police detective 3: Operation Tiberius You'll discover lots of stuff that's directly linked to the Stephen Lawrence murder investigation. Hope this helps. 😎👍😊
