Facts: Harry was never in rehab. What actually happened was that Charles when he was informed about Harry's drug using, decided and arranged that Harry would spend a day in a rehab that Diana had supported, so that he could talk to addicts, and listen to their stories in the hopes that he would learn something. He was only there for 24 hours. He was however receiving therapy at one point, which clearly didn't work. The News of the World phonetapping incident: Harry's phone was barely touched, but his brother and sister in law, and many celebrities had undergone serial phone tapping over a long period of time by the NOTW. Many employees were imprisoned and the newspaper eventually closed down. Harry could have continued in the army. They offered him a promotion to Major but it meant taking a desk job and Harry only saw himself as this hero who served in wars around the globe. He felt diminished by the offer. He missed the point of duty and service in the military, where every single service person serves, but not always in a war situation. William was a search and rescue pilot in Norfolk. It was nothing to do with Charles and Camilla having their nose put out of joint by William. The store he refers to is Waitrose on Kensington High street. I worked not far away at Imperial College University of London some years back. Catherine regularly shops there. Nobody would have batted an eyelid at Harry. Harry had a valet, all the royal men do. The women have a dresser. It's their job was to ensure that their charge went out looking neat, tidy, cleaned and appropriately dressed. He didn't do his own laundry, he didn't dry it on the radiators. His valet ensured his clothes were clean, his shoes shined and any issues like holes in socks and shoes fixed. If the shoes had holes, the valet took them to the shoe repair shop for re-soling. Harry is very economical with the truth.

@@anneselby2293 Thanks for the perspective. H&M are really leaning on this idea of American's being so ignorant that we scarcely know what a curtsey is, and will believe anything. This man doesn’t describe any life in Britain that I recognise. I lived and worked in London during the time he talks about and there were rarely any pictures of him in the press and the amount of coverage was not as bad as he says. Btw Catherine goes shopping in supermarkets and takes the children to school, there are some pictures, all positive, but people seem to respect her for doing this

I can’t bring myself to ever feel bad for him, h s had everything hand d to him on a platinum platter and STILL COMPLAINS! He was the most popular Royal for decades, the best PR people to bury bad behavior stories, he was even more loved after the naked pool game in Vegas! He’s never had ANY OF THE RESPONSIBILITY! If he can sit around googling all his symptoms on his Iphone all night, why can’t he press location, find a doctor and call a taxi? He’s just ENTITLED AF! William always protected this little cry baby, and the lies he’s spewed about the RF, especially THE QUEEN who even laughed at his antics are too much for me! He never has taken any initiative in life and blames everyone else!

Besides all that you point out, the reason I can’t forgive Harry is all of the hurt he causes. The heartbreak that he has caused the Queen, his father, William and so many others does not warrant sympathy. Harry strikes me as very manipulative and wants the world to see him as a victim. It’s a hard thing. He is not a well man, but he does not have to psychologically try to destroy others.

He is so inward looking that he actually believes that every hardship he experiences is unique to him and he has no genuine interest in other people's hardships. He is so preoccupied in writing down how everyone wrongs him, he is blind to all the wrongs he does to others. He has no ability to empathise.

A funny story when he and Megain were preaching saving the earth and being feminists, he went OFF on the football team that was his patronage during breakfast before game day at a hotel because they were all eating with plastic cutlery, like his face was getting redder, anger building for a good 10 minutes and the swear words that exploded from his mouth about them being so “wasteful and couldn’t the team be responsible and travel with reusable silverware, they were trashing the earth!” Oh, how times changed 4 months later with full access to Elton John’s private plane. I can’t even begin to think how big their carbon footprint is, but THEY WANT THEIR PRIVACY! 😂 Even though Will’s and Kate have been traveling commercial often with the kids, first class, but at least not private!!

The problem with Harry is that he never made an effort at school, never had any ambition, didn’t want to be a royal, didn’t have any idea what he wanted to do. He could have done what his cousins did and got a real job, but he wasn’t qualified for anything. He has never fully grown up and unfortunately his family have always sheltered him and made excuses for him, which is probably the main thing they did wrong.

@@1pamby1 You are right, but his school, famed for creating independent and well educated people, failed too. The Army also failed to instil in Harry any responsibility or self-discipline. Working alongside other young men, who were willing to sacrifice their very lives for their Queen and country, did not impinge upon him or stiffen his backbone. No pride, no loyalty, no empathy, no support for either his family, who were giving a lifetime of Service to our country (not just a term or two), or to the men by his side sacrificing so much, or the people of this country. What has he done except demean everything we as a people and country stand for - now that IS an achievement! Just not one I could ever admire. In truth I do not believe Harry has any conception of the harm he is doing, because everything is ALL about HIM. I would not wish him back.

The royals try not to take publicity away from each others events. An important diplomatic event planned for three years can be ignored by the press if a more popular royal does something trivial at the same time. H&M actually did this to their own S Africa tour. All that money and planning, with the intent of bringing awareness to African social problems, and all the press coverage ended up focusing on Harry and Meghan's emotional problems.

Harry’s unchosen and undeniably tragic place in history and the public eye have left him with permanent scars (from which he is unlikely ever to recover). The British took him into their collective hearts, forgiving his many youthful indiscretions. The world cheered when he came of age as a soldier and found his footing in the service of disabled veterans with the Invictus Games. However, in his disastrous choice of wife, with the eerie echoes of Oedipus, publicly investing her with all of the imaginary perfection and purity of purpose he has assigned to his mother, he now seems set on playing the part to the end, assassinating his father and brother. He is dangerously on course for a catastrophic suicide once he has outlived his utility to Rachel, who will find someone(s) to blame (not her).

I believe he has absolutely got himself in the middle of an abusive marriage....if the roles were reversed, people would be raising the alarm, but for some fairytale reason, the sugars and Hollywood and MSM think the Harkles situation is soooo romantic and he's the knight in tinfoil saving her from all sorts of dragons, instead of realising she is the dragon and the distress is for anyone who crosses her or is no longer useful to her...but that's all the goodwill I have for him..I hope he doesn't self harm because of how it will impact his children, but who knows if he is selfless enough to care how it affects anyone else...so far he doesn't seem to care how his words or actions have affected anyone else..

As someone who works in retail, very interesting insight Harry has of some of the smallest details. Even as you mentioned how he thinks it's "normal" to dress sloppy, a lot of guys underestimates how much ladies pay attention to a man's grooming habits and the effort to be presentable. Could be why I personally am not a fan of facial hair, most men just let it go wild and it's a turn off when they don't maintain it, it's noticeable when it is versus when it isn't. Harry's a good example.

I don't think he can. His mental hygiene just isn't there right now. If he were able to see it clearly, that would mean he would need to take responsibility for making a lot of bad decisions, creating a very empty life for himself, and hurting significant people in his life in ways that may never heal. I don't think he could take that kind of dose of reality, it would crush him. I do think he knows things are worse for him now but he's definitely still 100% the victim and completely blameless. It's all just more proof to him that he has been treated badly.

There is a sense of DRAMATIC Irony, were we, the viewers, know/see more than he does... so ... yeah, kind of ;) (Rhetoric or Verbal Irony is basically the difference between the stated and the implied meaning. So "Harry is really being a PRINCE" The stated meaning is that he is the son of a sovereign, but the implied meaning in older american slang is that he is annoying and selfish. or "Now, that was WELL DONE." - when it absolutly wasn't and nobody is supposed to think it was. Dramatic Irony is, as mentioned, when the reader/viewer of a story knows more than the characters (Don't go in there, the murderer is lurking behind the door! Or Complaining about the unfairness of the world while absolutly profiting and being the only one who doesn't see the hippocrisy, could be seen as some kind of irony imO) Cosmic or Romantic Irony is a term from philosophy/literature and it means, no matter how hard you try, you can't escape fate and you will be thwarted, either by fate or by the author of the book you're in. ... So ... hum... Since Harry is his own author and thwarts himself in his quest for looking good, maybe that irony could work, too ..🤔🤣

If you watch every single video of his life until his marriage, he was over the top happy, active, jocular, fun-loving and, for some reason that I don't quite understand, extremely popular. With much experience with people who suffer from severe depression, low self-esteem, AND agoraphobia, I can emphatically say that these disorders are impossible to hide as completely as Harry purports to have done in front of the camera. Were there at any point in time in the news media any indications that Harry suffered from all these debilitating conditions? Friends, acquaintances, military buddies, all the people directly or indirectly associated with Harry would have known or seen signs. The media would have picked up on his supposed mental state one way or another. Harry came across as a happy-go-lucky, devil-may-care, unencumbered, funny party guy with somewhat arrested development to the public, and that is why they liked him AND that is who he was!! Nowhere is there the slightest hint that he was unhappy, at odds with his brother or family, deeply depressed, etc. Never did Harry express "his victimhood" until after marrying Meghan when her bullying of people which is, by the way, well documented, forced him to defend her. All of this victim stuff about every aspect of his life emerged from their desperate need to be accepted, liked, and untarnished in the eyes of the American people, especially in Hollywood. I don't buy any of this stuff in his novel about his severe mental health struggles. I do believe Harry loved the good life, still does, and complains about not knowing or having purpose in life. Unlike many people, he could embrace any future he wanted. Engineer, financier, pilot, ambassador, state department, doctor....he CHOSE AND STILL CHOOSES NOT TO GO TO COLLEGE OR DO ANYTHING THAT REQUIRES WORK AND EFFORT TO PURSUE HIS DREAM OR A CAREER. It has been a choice he's made. Even now he could go to a university and get a degree as a psychologist, social worker, counselor, ecologist, etc. but he chooses not to. This whole fiasco showcases the fierceness that M possesses at fighting back against her critics, and Harry is nothing more than her minion....a rich, royal minion who is brainwashed into believing that getting people to feel sorry for them is going to burnish their image and make them shine.

Catherine is even MORE STUNNING in person, actually so is Will’s! The same can’t be said for the current monarch and his wife, he’s wound too tightly but she does have a wicked sense of humor! I was so surprised how they’ve all greeted us peasants the last few visits very warmly! The Queen was just too famous! But If Hank and Skank show up, which of course they will, Megain would cut off her leg for an invite, she loves that attention, the true American Southerner will come out in me and I will start the BOOOING!!!! My British friends are too classy but will smirk 😈

We had a trip planned for Australia around now, before it gets colder in our Summer months down under, but when we got invited I was like “Umm YES!” Not looking forward to the crowds but I love history and being part of it, even if I think Chuck is a complete idiot! Half of my family is in the UK, I thought I was all fancy taking a gap year in 2001 before I started college at UGA, turns out it was a good move, nice (mostly drunken adventure) and I met and stayed in touch with many cool friends, they say American’s are forward but it’s humorous to get a ring and hear “Want to fly across the pond and have a holiday adventure for a few weeks?” It’d be so cool if we here in the US could just take holiday like some mates I’ve got to know, In Paris they can apply for money for a trip! We are so behind in treating ourselves, but anywhere I’ve ever been new friends always have a compliment for American work ethic, ESPECIALLY WOMEN/Mothers. He still does most of the laundry in our house. Just because “normal people” don’t have servants, doesnt mean we’re dirty slobs. Also, I call BS, there is NO WAY he didn’t have someone at Kensington Palace to clean his place & do his laundry. No way.

Harry sweats too much which is at least physically possible. That’s why it’s so hypocritical when H&M, the charitable souls that they tell us they are, keep trying to pull focus when the family are doing thing (EarthShot a perfect recent example) But of course they don’t understand this because they can’t see beyond their own egomaniacal self promoting & branding!

The reason being that they have many ceremonial duties and frequent and extensive travel, plus they use their married quarters for work reasons. Of course the military part of their job would be the priority but my principal's steward also did their personal housework if she had available time. Harry would have at least equivalent support if not more than an Air Vice Marshal so I don't believe for one moment that he had to do his own laundry. It's more likely that he took poor care after they prepared it or he didn't want them in his way so rejected their support

It is a great pity that this public outrage didn't happen sooner. It will be good if he changes his trajectory but he might also become even more vengeful. The choice is his. Remember this guy wasn't just a hypocrite sitting in a corner - he was and still is actively campaigning to destroy free speech, to make himself rich at the expense of others and to take common people's freedoms whilst he flys in private jets. He was specifically trying to brainwash our youth and paying PR to pump out false information whilst denying and condemning it.This guy wanted to gain greater control over our everyday lives and cried victim whilst knowingly hurting his own family. People with BPD have the emotional development of toddlers. BPD's think in black & white (called 'splitting') and expect others to read their minds & sooth them at all times. The DSM now has it as a subcategory of Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD) Comorbidities make it more difficult - if they have Paranoia & are histrionic which Harry displays also. People have to read their minds & sooth them at all times - like a toddler expects their carer to function.. They are very difficult to treat, bc they might tantrum if called out. Imagine a toddler whose favourite toy is a train. Enraptured with it until the wheels stop working & then he might smash it to bits & tantrum. It was the train's fault. That is how they treat their loved ones. They can drive people nuts and be more destructive than a Malignant Narcissist..

There is a well known psychiatric phenomena where traumatized people constantly seek to re-traumatize themselves in an subconscious attempt to understand the original trauma. You'll find this in promiscuous teenage girls who have been molested as children and end up accumulating multiple rapes throughout their lives. I am not blaming the victim here, as I am in this demographic, but illustrating how it happens. If he was seeing a therapist they should've brought this to his attention so he would stop when he saw it happening. I still tend to re-traumatize myself with becoming fixated on news stories of child trafficking, etc. Not nearly as self-destructive but traumatizing to someone sensitive to the subject.

I know what it's like to some extent, just feeling as though everyone else has it sorted, while you are living with the brakes on, in a different world. It can be such a struggle, and people do think you're lazy or incapable, which just makes it worse. The last thing I expected was to end up feeling sorry for Harry, but I do, a bit. Harry needs to get over his mother’s death, and move on with his own life. It would not be a betrayal of her to let go of her death. It’s worth remembering that Diana was much more than the tragedy of her death. As we mature we need to figure out what we hope to do and to do it to the best of our abilities. That’s what his mother, like any mother, would want. Harry is not the first to lose his mother at a young age. Across the world this happens every day and those left behind have to grieve, and then bravely walk on. His mother’s life was cut short; he doesn’t need to waste his in dwelling on the past. Look up, Harry and quietly make a contribution, even a modest one would be fine. Just don’t throw your life away.
