Medically speaking alcohol is a hard drug and it's also classified in the highest category of cancer creating substances. On top of that it has negative effects causing family violence, violence towards police officers and traffic deaths. Alcohol is the "only" substance that one needs to make excuses for not consuming. Keep up the good work Leon!❤👍

Yup and our governments are handing them out practically free. £1 for a can of strong cider here in UK. Sooo easy to become addicted depending on your life circumstances.

I’m 7 months in and can definitely say that everything has changed. I am 47, single and no kids. I do physical work that unfortunately doesn’t pay great. After a day at work I would get 8 beers every night and more at weekends and sit in drinking on my own. I didn’t have anyone telling me I shouldn’t be doing this, it was too easy. One morning I woke up, felt absolutely terrible and said enough is enough. Everything is going well now and I am never going back to alcohol because I know what will happen. Good luck to everyone who is on their journey, you got this👍🏻

Sober makes reality achingly clear & sometimes I don't want it to be. Have you addressed this theme, Leon. What you say is true, sober gives the drinker back the building blocks to better things in all areas, but this flood of achievement ca n be too much. Bring a busy-ness into daily life that maybe isn't wanted. Iain

I stopped drinking and gain over 10 to 15 lbs. Eating junk food, snacks, watching tv. After a long hard day i reward myself with a walk, then chips, soda, pizza, cakes , ice cream, Better than beer or wine i guess. 2 to 3 years, alcohol free

You're replacing one addiction with another. Discipline is key. Try utilising the extra time you have in a productive way and set yourself goals to achieve. If you can give up booze, you can give up junk food. You've got this 💪
