To be honest, I was kind of disappointed that this doesn't sound as battle-engaging as the actual boss fight version, but after playing through the game once I'm not even mad about it. In fact I'm actually glad this was chosen, although I still wonder how the boss battle version would sound remixed

Joker wasn't really going to be in smash, Mara was the chosen one, unfortunetly it would change the rating system, so they went with the second best option

イントロよくあるアレンジだなあと油断してたら30秒〜のNever moreのフレーズ入れるの卑怯だわ

honestly love this track to pieces, its like a hello to the fans

I like that its a little bit of a tribute to the whole series, you've got I'll face myself's emotional moments, so that its Never more's main leitmotif, but you can hear *just* a bit of a part of Burn my dread just after a minute in, and the more Jazzy sounding instruments during the solo add some of P5's flavor to the song as a whole. Very well done, if I'm reading it right.

fun fact, choosing P4 songs and P3 songs changes mementos and the victory theme if joker wins the match, like this song would turn mementos yellow and Mass destruction would turn it blue

A fun gimmick would have been if this track was only listed once in the selection menu/sound test, but if a match was a mirror match (1-v-1 or just having doubles at all), you got I'll Face Myself - Battle by surprise instead.

Eh, kinda wished this incorporated more of the actual melody of I'll Face Myself rather than just sorta blaring out the main theme of Persona 4. The heavy guitar solos really carried the original. But it's a good track on its own.
