I found a teapot with a note in the lid saying it was owned by lady who died in 1769! My goodwill was selling it for $2.99. It has some damage, but I couldn’t let it sit there & get even more damaged. I researched her name & found some relatives!!! So far I’ve heard back from one person who didn’t want it. I’m waiting to see if anyone else does. Otherwise, it will live in my curio cabinet.

I think the fact that they got rid of it and donated to Goodwill, already means they don’t want it. I would not contact anyone else. Just keep it and enjoy it. :)

I'm an artist and, thanks to you, I've started being more careful about signing my work. I forget to do it most the time. When I do remember, I usually end up signing with a glorified squiggle. From now on I'll try to do better. I know how you hate it when things aren't signed!

I'm in NC too and have the same thoughts! There is a place in Clemmons, North Carolina that is a consignment shop and they make their sale tags the same way. But it is in no way as big as Finders Keepers.

To answer your question Jocelyn, the keyboard instrument is an organ. It is powered by pumping foot pedals attached to bellows, so it is commonly called a “pump organ.”

Owl on a stick I think is from a paper towel holder that stands on the counter. The pink satin glass is gorgeous.

Jocelyn I went to my local junk shop and found a black panther lamp. I'm so excited! I think of you when I go and wish you could go with me. 🙂🥰

Those old banks were I believe made of plaster of Paris. They were quite popular in the mid sixties as birthday gifts.

It is a pump organ, not a piano but has a large keyboard. Many are made with keyboards only 3/4 size compared to todays pianos . Nice model. Full size keyboard. They have bellows that bring out the sound as you pump with both feet.

2nd comment- I've been buying any pink glass I find. My ex-husband is a stained glass artist & he recently told me that pink glass is getting much more difficult to find because the ingredient that makes the glass pink, selenium, is imported from Russia, & obviously with the sanctions in place, glass makers are not receiving it.. He said that when he does stumble across a sheet of it somewhere, it is so crazy expensive that he doesn't buy it. Just for what it's worth ☺️...

I just saw a video from a year ago and you bought a mouse cookie jar and passed on a cookie monster cookie jar from Sesame Street. Depending on which kind of cookie monster jar that was they go for up to$ 60.00 to $150.00 dollars. Everything Like that from Sesame Street they don't make anymore. If you come across something like that again you might want to check how much that style goes for.

Oh you should have seen my sister pregnant! She’s 5’ so she looked like she was pregnant from her chin to her knees. Plus during the later months, the baby was lying on her sciatic nerve, so her leg felt constantly asleep, so she sort of dragged it like Quasimodo!
