My best friend sent this to me on Christmas Day- I was spending it alone this year due to some unfortunate circumstance- and she told me that she thought of me instantly when she heard it for the first time. Been ugly crying tears of joy to it every day since, thinking about how thankful I am to have such an amazing best friend. 😭 Excellent song!

When listening to this song, the first people you think of are friends, family, loved ones. Makes sense -- these are the ones you spend most of your time around. But then, when the image of the firefighter showed up at 1:36, that straight up gave me chills. We don't stop to think about it: it's incredibly special how, when you're in a life-threatening situation, you can call upon a total stranger and trust that they will do whatever's in their power to save you. No matter when, no matter where, always. More often than not they're volunteers, and when no one else in the world can help you anymore, they are there. Together with the dog at 2:06, these were incredibly powerful moments for me. To perhaps the one or two firefighters that might read this: thank you for all that you do. ♥

It's fairly new. Usually songs take about three-six months to catch on and hit regular radio spins. Red hands took a while and then took off. I suspect this will take off after they finish the edits for the official video.
