    Great job Gypsy lady! Running water and a mini septic is super easy to install. If the water table is high enough you can pound in a sand point well. Septic is super cheap also if you do it yourself.

    Wow I finally found the right word to find the kind of the RV videos I was looking for ! All the rv videos are for people traveling and packing up and I’m over here in a permanent placed travel trailer on my family’s farm hooked in to city electric and housing plumbing to the sewer ( I don’t even know how the tanks work bcus it just goes right down into the septic system ) . I put some of that spray foam in my walls the other day , also I used it on the pop outs ( this rv isn’t going anywhere ever) and installed a mini split ( I live in the desert 🏜️) who knew the term for this was stationary rv living 😂 loved the video thank you for sharing 😊

I have learned so much from you, and it is fun to live vicariously thru you until I can start my dream life 💖

    You're so fortunate to have family property that will allow you to live there for free. Land is getting very expensive and hard to find. We bought a small 4 acre remote property in rural Maine and are building a small cabin and off grid infostructure. We are debt free and have no plans to move from our small comfortable home but it's a wonderful feeling to have a back-up plan and a bug out location if needed plus it's a very fun and interesting project. Watching your videos reminds us that there is a solution to every problem when living an alternative lifestyle. I admire your spunk!

    That’s awesome. Would love to sit down and bs about your “rv living evolution”. Used to have a friend that lived like that on and off for years. He’s gone now but we would sit and bs about ways to make our campers better or easier to live in. I went through most of the same things you did but ended it at 4 years. I had much smaller living area,a big goofy brown dog and no home base just bounced around the same general area. I remember the ceiling above my stove getting very hot as well 😂. I think I put tin foil up there to reflect the heat lol. It’s crazy how people have to give such a huge chunk of their paycheque away just to have a roof over their head. Out here buying land is really expensive unless it’s far away from the mountains and in the middle of no where. I walked inside the toy hauler today and was thinking about that lifestyle again. I’m curious as to the property you are on if you bought it or lease it etc. is there a video explaining that?

  • @gypsyjenna

    @gypsyjenna

    Жыл бұрын

    No I have never explained it in a video but sometime I should. One of the most asked questions. I am on family land. I don't own it or rent it. Just lucky enough to stay here for the meantime anyhow

  • @Indeewoods

    @Indeewoods

    8 ай бұрын

    @@gypsyjennaoh ok I see. Ya that would help for sure. I think that’s the issue for some is that they need to find a home base cheap and that’s not always easy to do but I guess if you get to know people with land some will let you stay on it for a lot cheaper price than renting. Out here there are a few places close to the mountains and they rent out spots all year long. Lots of people that work at the coal mines will stay there with families in the summer then they just stay on their shifts and commute home/repeat. I bought an old woodstove last winter and tonight I was measuring it up to see how it fits in my Toy Hauler. It is really heavy compared to the stainless steel keg I was going to build for it but it’s also lined with fire brick and has built in heat shielding so I’m thinking it might be a lot better at holding heat. My buddy that passed away had the identical Toy hauler as mine and the Keg worked great in his but you couldn’t get 8hrs of kicking out the heat when it got really cold.

    Do you plan on adding any additions/extra square footage to your trailer? My sister added a porch, gave her so much more space for storage and all her outdoor gear. She also modified her trailer by putting in a sliding patio door. She's in BC so she could only do so much because of the bylaws....I was surprised to see how many people are living in trailers out there full time, but very understandable. I know so many veterans that are living this lifestyle. Thanks for the video!

    It is not a four season trailer so insulation is minimal. The wood heat helps immensely in winter. Mice do get in so setting snap traps has helped keep them down

    Love the quote 'some people now are paying $1000 rent'. Shows how bad of a downward spiral we are in!

    Isn't there a law in Canada that says you should have your front window awning level? ;) I bet that's why Hilbert is upset. Cheers.
