I just made that comment (not disrespectful) because it is way too common sadly for only the woman taking on the housework and child care. And people don't realize how difficult it is to be responsible for every meal everyday for everyone. Also I could see her being stressed at some points.

Coming from an Italian, diced tomatoes are a lot closer to an authentic pasta sauce than a pre made jar from the store 😂 so I’d say you did pretty well haha

I came up with my own by reverse engineering the canned stuff and then experimenting. Would this recipe make a proper Italian grandma roll in her grave? Yellow onions, celery, diced roma tomatoes, tomato paste, tomato sauce, cream/half and half, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, dry red wine, salt, black pepper, Italian herb blend (parsley, savory, rosemary, oregano), ground lamb and/or beef, beef broth if needed I cook down my vegetables and diced tomatoes, cook the meat, add everything else in, simmer for a bit, and serve with spaghetti and shredded parmesan and mozzarella.

@@sarahtaylor4264 that definitely sounds like a delicious sauce! A typical Italian sauce is generally made by cooking down down garlic and maybe parsley in a pot, adding in some kind of meat like beef ribs or lamb chops (depending what kind of flavour you want from the sauce), then you’ll cook off the meat before adding in the tomatoes which are generally crushed. You can either make them yourself or we buy ours at small Italian grocers. Then you’d add a bit of salt and some sugar to taste, to remove the tangy flavour. That cooks for as long as possible, it can literally simmer for hours hahaha or if you’re in a rush a quicker version can be made too. I think people generally get confused when it comes to making a pasta sauce because they add in too many spices and seasonings when it really doesn’t need it! Just a bit of salt and sugar will do to getting it tasting like it would from an authentic Italian restaurant!

Letting your kids help shop for food is one of the best things you can do. It helps them with knowing how to shop, what foods to buy, how they work, and is a great way to start teaching them basic cooking skills.

I agree. I wish more parents did stuff like this. Allowing the kids to do the shopping gives them some form of autonomy and learn a valuable life skill at the same time. Plus it’s a good bonding experience. :)

I'm so proud of Wyatt he is not as picky as he used to be. Also thank you for showing us that you're home is a home that is lived in and not always perfect!

As you get older your appetite increase and you eat more food as oppose to when you are younger you eat less food and your appetite decrease.

I love how you're getting them involved in not just picking the food, but cooking it and giving you ideas on what they were thinking. The popcorn on toast with butter seems interesting to me, honestly. And the idea of putting it soup? Smart!

@@djihenearafa8414 A lot. Most people use it for fries or other potato things. You can use it for alot though, fish or chicken wings, mac n cheese. Depends on the airfryer though, if you still have the package it should have some recommendations which you can use it for written somewhere. Maybe that's gonna give you some ideas :)

I love the fact that hannah doesn't clean crazy clean her house before she records. An honest look into a house with 3 kids especially when cooking 3 meals a day for a whole family. If I was cooking 3 meals a day my house would be ridiculous lol. Its already messy and I don't have any kids AND I don't think I have ever made 3 meals a day for anyone including myself.

This is a great idea to get the kids involved with learning how to cook!

Its the fact that Jackson dressed up as sasuke that earns my respect.

My tomato sauce as a student is the easiest thing ever. Stir fry some onions and garlic, add a can of diced tomatoes, salt, pepper, dried herbs, and I always add a splash of ketchup for some reason. And then it's pick & choose time, depending on what I have. Corn, tuna, kidney beans, feta cheese (in this case cut back on the salt before), whatever finds it's way into the sauce. Then I let it cook together for a couple of minutes & voilà, pasta.

So glad that this show is back! Jackson and Wyatt has grown up so fast!

I would say these kids did an amazing job for shopping on their own! My 3yr old would go button happy and wed end up with ridiculous stuff lol! No veggies, probably alot of cake, mac n cheese, and nuggets...your boys are totally winning at the shopping
