gyuri is so underrated! at the moment, she isn't in my top lineup, but her efforts seriously need to be noticed. she's improved just as much as mai and yuju has, and although her face is really cute, her diversity in concepts is insane! if she isn't able to debut in this survival show, i hope she'll debut in the future under a different label. fighting, gyuri!

Kim Gyuri’s skill at her age is incredible. To say that this girl has not had a single truly weak performance yet she’s not only one of the youngest but also hasn’t received much training compared to the other contestants. Jeemin and Saebi are almost guaranteed to debut. I don't know if they desperately need another "visual", when the other girls are also pretty and offer more things. Other than just being pretty, maybe you should try to promote her as a caring and hard worker person. You could also tell people about her improvements.

@@yuuya_ange talent ≠ success. We see it group after group. It’s more harder to succeed now with talent based groups over groups with strong visual lines. There’s more to being an idol than singing, dancing and rapping. Standards, expectations and roles have grown to be much more than that. If you truly want this group to succeed over just wanting to force certain trainees you bias go your “perfect imagination” lineup then I’m afraid a reality check is needed. Groups like ZB1 are thriving BECAUSE they have a “visual” line. But now “visuals” are now being downgraded and hate on for what? Being a visual and stan attractor?…. It’s okay. There’s 5 other girls who can sing, dance and rap. Every group someone has to sadly do the 10 seconds of singing in every song. No group has perfect line distributions and Mai is okay at those 10 seconds like she has shown us all season. She doesn’t mind going for less for the groups well being. Not many people would do that. Being selfless in the idol and celebrity world is rare and to not acknowledge it is a slap in the face to her and others like her. Anyway mai debut soon. Get ready.

I honestly believe that Mai deserves to debut, not only is she gorgeous, with striking visuals (look at that thumbnail), but her determination and effort is admirable as well. Though she doesn’t have the best vocals, she definitely improved from her nasally voice- like compare her to drama and Panorama: the improvement is there and you can deny that. Her stage presence is amazing as well with really natural expressions! I feel with some vocal training after she debuts, she’ll be one of the best idols out there- not just fir her visuals, but for her hard work and determination. Let’s vote for Mai to debut❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉

people in this comment section is fighting about mai being the possible lineup and saying she doesn't deserve a spot but to be honest she's the most improved trainee in any survival show along for kim so-hye (former I.O.I) and go yuri/kang hyewon (former IZ*ONE). people are claiming she is the "worst trainee" on this show is just insane. FIRSTLY. she was already a decent trainee to begin with but not the best. she is rank 9 on evaluations of out 24. being in just the top 10 out of 24 trainees just shows that she is talented, its just y'all focus on her visuals rather than her actual talents (the kpop trainee industry is HELL if you know, you know.). SECONDLY. she is one of the few trainees who never left I-LAND. why? not because of her visuals LMFAOOO, but because of her leadership and her commitment/patience. in part 1, the rest of the I-LANDERS had to vote who they believe should stay in I-LAND after the FINAL LOVE SONG performance. out of 12 trainees, 7 trainees voted for MAI and SUJUNG to stay in I-LAND (which i believe they both were the highest scores behind CHOI JUNGEUN who had immunity as she earned the center part). this is because during the FINAL LOVE SONG, MAI's parts were switched and shuffled, leaving her with the smallest part towards the end. however, although it did bother her, she decided to keep it because she knew that she could make it work. and it did in her favor by having the trainees recognize her commitment and the patience she had. this leaves her rank 2 out of 12 in I-LAND, making her go up 7 ranks from her initial rank (9) and 2 ranks (entrance test). she also was hanging by a thread and had tremendous amount of stress as she was not only the leader for RAIN ON ME (creative unit) but that was her first time leading an actual group. the fact that it was her first time leading a group and becoming the ONLY I-LAND unit to win for the UNIT Test shows that she is an amazing choreographer and storyteller with her dances. so anyone shitting on her dancing is just wow (people may say SAEBI or LINGLING carried, but reminder that you cannot take credits away from the choreographer. SAEBI and LINGLING owned and did their parts because MAI as a leader trusted them). oh and after the UNIT Test she ranked 2nd, meaning she never left 2nd whilst being under pressure and stressed when coming to new things such as leadership, directing, and choreographing. this goes to my THIRD comment. she may not be the best dancer, but she's the best at stage presence/performance. EX: IWALY. during her SMALL yet IMPACTFUL part in IWALY, she made up that part rather than using the sulky girl original choreography (in which her opponent NAM YUJU used which was a disadvantage). her making up her own part made it more eye-catching and as MONIKA said that they chose the one that was more original and it was MAI's part as she was acting with an imaginary phone and doing facial expressions which in both is hard to come by and do at the same time TRUST. (i dont like MONIKA as a judge bc her favoritism is insane, but i like her as a dancer). oh and shes named impact princess for a reason. yes you guys may be like "but that's not actual dancing its just gestures and facial expressions". but as a dancer, it's always not about using the same original choreography you watch but making up your own thing (even if its small or not) and it is actually hard to comeby like would you have thought of using a phone, putting it down, throwing the phone away and staring at the camera acting with envy and hatred in your eyes with all of that happening in the matter of 8-10 seconds? i don't think so. it even adds a little spice to the perfomance. for my LAST reason, yes. i admit that MAI in the show is the worst I-LANDER in terms of vocals. but you can't ignore how she improved in such a short span. JUST 2 MONTHS and it wasn't even through proper training, but dedication and determination by staying up later than the rest of the trainees because she knows she has to improve. meaning she did it not only by herself but the other trainees who actually stepped up and helped her as well despite it being a competition. and it DID something bc her nasal voice is not as noticeable as before (yes it is still nasally but it's almost gone now which is actually insane). even TAEYANG who is technically the main producer recognized it. and with TAEYANG being experienced in the kpop industry for 20 years, that is an actual honor and recognition to have. to anyone who disagrees, you can hate my opinion and hate on MAI on the smallest things. but it will never change the fact that she is the most improved trainee on the show in which is why i vote for her as a trainee, not because of her visuals, but based on improvement. i can see her potential. and as TAEYANG said "we need more trainees/idols like her" (when they announced MAI going to the finals).
