My love and I met on the phone, at 19, both friends to the same person. We met the next day at his house, (riding over there with the same mutual friend, for our formal introduction). We both felt so familiar and so comfortable with each other. Later we learned of all the places we were at the same time and never saw each other. Our first fight, I wrote him a letter, I poured out all my feelings, we both thought the other was lost. We made our way back to each other, and here we are today together at 35, 16 years later and I'm more in love than the day we met. This is beautiful... eerily familiar but amazingly beautiful.

He might drift to when he was writing the words in early 60s New York City--all the elements coming together. Your guitar playing has the same kind of straight-rhythm style he and his contemporaries used. And your buildup of harmonies isolates as you go along the structure of the story the song tells.
