I knew that is where I was going to find it as soon as I started moving brush metal detecting
And there they were ! hiding under the brush I moved out of the way.
This forest was wide open field back in the 1800s and I was finding all kinds of great relics metal detecting today. I took my Fisher F19 and and took my time swinging in the tight spots and moving brush and limbs. If you want to find good things metal detecting old places you have to clean the ground as you go because a lot of stuff may be hiding underneath. Reading the landscape history you can easily see that people were working this land hundreds of years ago and this is where they would have lost stuff. Old buttons, buckles, knives, eye glasses, thimbles and more. Detecting along the old rock walls is also a big clue. I did not even have to go near a cellar hole today to find these great relics.

Thank you Charlie for the adventure and seeing some nice finds !
Awesome hunt, Charlie. I really like your F19. It seems like a really good machine to find relics in the woods.👍🏻😎
A mini thimble for the win. But then again a mini pewter button is a nice find too to make it a great day in the woods for a Not Thursday

You must need the tall man’s lower rod when detecting so your body does not constantly set off the detector.
As usual love the old finds, Charlie !
been watching you for a few months now. I like digging woods where there were old farm sites. You definitely do not plant targets like most others do. enjoy your channel, keep it up!
Love the eyeglass piece--not a common find, as you said. Tiny thimble. The young ones started learning their mending at an early age!
Gotta love ittttt!!! Good stuff Charlie!! HH!!
For some reason when I see a big dandy buttons, I think of Benjamin Franklin
I love your channel, love the woods of New Hampshire.

Wow! A lot of activity in the land in between!
I noticed how the glasses were adjustable. Amazing. Funny that they aren’t in modern times. A worthy outing.

I was going to point out the same thing!!
I agree you are my favorite I try not to miss any. And the main thing for me is the way you let us know what your thinking and how you explain why you think it. Please never let those people who say,”we need less talking and more finding “ there are a hundred sites like that and they are boring. In my humble opinion.

Willie comes in all different shapes and forms.
That glasses frame is ahead of its time with the adjustment slide. Great find. Would love to know how old it is, if you’re able to find out.
