Another trip up north, the main reason being the Full James wave on the Waikato river. We spent the first day surfing the wave and helping out Auckland Uni Canoe Club with their beginners. That afternoon I got the opportunity to kayak Huka Falls. Hukas been a goal of mine for a while and is a milestone in my kayaking journey. We spent the next day doing laps of the Kaituna. It's always an awesome river to kayak and practice important skills on. On the last day, the Kaituna was quite low so we decided to start heading down south early. We did a lap of Access 10 at 16 cumecs on the Tongariro River. We ended the trip with a lap of top drops on the Waiohonu River.
