Thank you guys......to some its just a mouse or "not a real pet like a cat or a dog".......but these were my daughters first pets that were 100% hers and her responsibility, to start off small and see how she did with them. I am not even a mouse person but found myself also really loving them. My daughter has difficulties and disabilities that can make day to day so much harder for her, compared to any other kids her age. So getting her the mice really helped her on the harder days. They gave her a sense of calm and it brought out her softer side. It was amazing to see that even though mice are so tiny, they still made such a huge impact on my little girl...... Oreo was a black silk mouse and her fur felt just like that.....SILK!

Last summer I picked up a mouse who was wandering around in a busy intersection on my walk home from work. Brought it home and gave it some food and water and monitored it for a day or two just to make sure it was okay, then brought it to a field near where I picked it up. I left a little shoebox with the same food and water in it so it had a little shelter to get it going.

Thank you guys......to some its just a mouse or "not a real pet like a cat or a dog".......but these were my daughters first pets that were 100% hers and her responsibility, to start off small and see how she did with them. I am not even a mouse person but found myself also really loving them. My daughter has difficulties and disabilities that can make day to day so much harder for her, compared to any other kids her age. So getting her the mice really helped her on the harder days. They gave her a sense of calm and it brought out her softer side. It was amazing to see that even though mice are so tiny, they still made such a huge impact on my little girl...... Oreo was a black silk mouse and her fur felt just like that.....SILK!

Last summer I picked up a mouse who was wandering around in a busy intersection on my walk home from work. Brought it home and gave it some food and water and monitored it for a day or two just to make sure it was okay, then brought it to a field near where I picked it up. I left a little shoebox with the same food and water in it so it had a little shelter to get it going.
