I really liked this case review because you (kind of) built as you reviewed, demonstrating how things fit, routing and cooling issues or non-issues etc. More like this please!

Phanteks probably still remain my favorite case maker. Bought the original Enthoo Primo when it came to market, still got it! I was a little rough with the front panel and broke the locking mechanism that holds it in place, support just asked for a picture to show them which part i was talking about, then sent me new ones in the mail, from Netherlands to Denmark, free of charge. 3 days ago, i talked to them again, as my Evolv X power button assembly is broken (possibly self caused) and again, they are sending a new one free of charge, all they asked for was to show them the invoice to confirm purchase, no questions asked. They also answer mails really quickly and always polite and helpful, straight to the point aswell. Not to mention interesting products and designs and usually high quality products. Owned or built in about a handful of their cases and they've definitely made a loyal customer out of me!

I just LOVE how Jay is from the US but uses the metric system more often than the imperial! Rock on dude!

That is an awesome case. I'd be tempted to buy it just to support the company to keep doing what they're doing. Great stuff!

Lol yes me too. I bought the t -30 fans even though my system is basically fanless (external radiators with 20 inch fans ) to support them. I love what they do as a company

Having owned the Evolv (and modding the top pannel) and loving the crap out of it, I NEED this case. Seems the older I get, the smaller of a PC I want to build. I foresee myself building my next system in this case... watercooled or not, it will happen.

You should do an Imperial Starwars mod with this case. The exhaust holes kind of look like the mesh for some of the Imperial looks already.

I've had an Evolv ATX for years and the build quality continues to impress me. I've built a few systems in the case at this point and every time it's a dream to build in. The only issue with it is airflow through the front and top panels, but I love the case so much I found a company that machined in vents and added mesh to the panels. Now it's just the perfect case.

That is quite possibly the best manual for any product I've ever seen. Concise, clear, simple and covers everything you need to know.

Phanteks is amazing. I'm using the P300A and my temps are amazing even under heavy load. Excellent manules, excellent quality. The entho lux 2 is also a great beast. Did a build in that with 15 fans haha.

Been thinking about going small for my next gaming build, and I think this case is the motivation I needed

Even with air... I'd go for the tallest config and put some of their chonker 120mm fans up top. Your video about the Ghost S1 was the reason I bought it. I might buy one of these just because I just want to build in one now. There are a lot of cool things about this chassis.

It's like that argument "the most expensive cheap keyboard"

My interest in these mini pc cases have been growing lately. I've only built PC's with full size towers but I'm seriously contemplating making my next build a mini pc.

I'm not into small form factor cases, but there are times like this that get me browsing and adding to my "wish list" cause they look pretty cool. Sadly, I only just need A computer, A pretty good computer that can do it all. Though for LAN or portability outside the home, to another location sure these are certainly ideal.

This can fit a 3090 and a high end CPU. It can do it all - except for use additional PCIe cards. But most ATX computers don't make use of that these days anyway.

That thing is super cool. I run an Evolve Shift-X currently ,and I am going to switch to a Torrent because i need more airflow to make it silent, but they are really getting good at cases these days.

Phanteks never ceases to amaze me with their ITX cases. With the exception of the shift 2, where you needed an AIO that has the pump in the radiator, otherwise you are risking pump damage on the long run because of the lower compartment radiator placement, so it was an aircooled or bust case.

Love my Phanteks 350p, have had it for about 4 years now and always recommend it.

This looks amazing, Phanteks really has eye for making things look and function well

Love the Phanteks cases. It's why I went with the Evolv X for my first PC build.

Wow! This case is actually the size of what I want my build to be, but, before I pull the trigger on it, I want to see temps on the most high-end components in this case (mostly CPU and GPU).

My first pc build is in a Eclipse P400 (Gunmetal) and I still really like that case.

I have the same case Jay! Got it yesterday!!! It's so nice. 12gen build with Fe 3070 this weekend.

Mine showed up today and I moved my rig from a Q58 to this while watching this video in the background. This case is amazing. Looks great and sturdy as hell. My new favourite.

I got a Phanteks Eclipse P600s but mine is different than most in that it has a solid side door instead of glass for two reasons, one I use a Vector Network Analyzer for designing remote (wireless) sensors and it's sensitive to RFI when used on a PC with a glass side so a solid side door is a must for me and two it was 20% off because apparently everyone wants the glass door model. It's big, it's heavy, it's built like a tank, no sharp edges, sound dampening material on both sides so it's really quiet and the fit and finish is flawless. Excellent manual

Phanteks is the best case manufacturer next to Lian Li, I have the p600s and there's nothing better built than it. It's so good I keep falling in love with it every time I open it to clean my components.

I have the p600s too. I have rebuilt my system twice in it. And each time was easy and enjoyable. I also like it's semi modularity almost making it a closed case, but far more quiet, and the ability to open it up into a more mesh and filtered open case with just the removal of some panels. After seeing this video I am thinking my next full build may just be a small form factor build though. I'm wondering if I could figure out if I could do some form of custom loop in it though.

I appreciate the review, but it would have been really nice to see a complete build.

Just bought this case back in march of 2023. This case is beyond great. Versatile easy to build in. It’s a wonderful case!

That manual needs to be set as the gold standard for any product that needs assembly. That's a sign of a company that sweats the details.

Phanteks simply designs quality products, I truly think they are one of the best case manufacturers, and they are usually decently affordable, especially for what you get.

I love the Evolv line, i still have the matx version before they did tempered glass panels and I have no reason to change the case anytime soon, it's bulletproof

The matx Evolv was the first case I ever bought that I genuinely loved. Still have it sitting in a dusty corner. My motherboard failed and I decided I wanted to do a custom loop so I bought the Lian Li pc 011. After running a custom loop for 1.5yrs I can tell you that it's mostly about aesthetics and for the average user you don't really need full loop cooling. Also, there's slight evap and as the level decreases it leaves water marks in the reservoir. I do miss my Evolv but I'm running a full ATX board

Got it for my Dad's build. I want to do a custom loop in it, but I think I need a custom mount to pass the tube through the center.

Being someone who prefers function over aesthetics, this is a really smexy case. The amount of airflow satisfies my need to make sure that, even if I'm doing a low budget build, it has plenty of air. Also, even though it's an SFF, it doesn't look difficult to build in.

Phanteks has absolute top tier cases. their low end is good (P300), their medium end is amazing (P200, P400A), their high end is great (P500, Enthoo line-up), and their highest end is phenomenal (the whole Evolv line).

I also was kinda in love with the Phanteks Enthoo for the longest time. However after all dabbling I ended up with the Thermaltake P3 since it is pretty much a bench table up side with tempered glas front you have all the heat convection that you can dream of for a passive (under hard load semi passive) system. Slience is key and when running desktop the only thing that makes a noice is the big storage HDD in the system, if I put something there. Using a PC on daily bases for hours that is silent makes the work environment so much better.

I never really cared for small form factor cases/PC builds... But.. Over the last couple of years, all these kickass SFF cases that have came out/coming out, really make me want to build one!

I still think I’m gonna go with the Meshlicious for my next build because I like the vertical orientation with the parts compatibility, but damn Phanteks tempted me with this one

I love and appreciate the well thought out design and engineering of this case. It looks good, gets out of your way during assembly, is extensible but to spec, has all around easy access, highly aerobic and is compact and rigid.

Did not expect to be so entertained by the "Boop! Bewwp! Bweh-boop!", thanks for making me laugh and showcasing the different modes 😂 Totally did not rewatch it several times... hrrmm

I would love to see an air-cooled build compared to a water-cooled one!!!!

For real, this case looks amazing. As a SFF enthusiast, I approve

Same. So happy seeing new mainstream ITX cases that are airflow focused rather than just being a small box. NR200P, Meshlicious, A4-H2O, and this are all excellent cases.

I bought my first Phanteks case ever last year, the Phanteks Enthoo Evolv X Glass. Ridiculous good build quality. Was able to fit a 420 radiator in it too. The build quality shows it self in the weight too. Its a heavy computer! :D

Just ordered mine I got the silver I’m super hyped. Phanteks has always been my favorite case maker.

I've had my eye on this case for about a month now... Been looking to do a small build that could lay horizontally. I wonder if it'd handle heat okay on its side with the gpu on top 🤔

I must say I miss good cases with 5,25 '' slots, cause you can fit all sorts of useful devices in there, but most good cases, including LianLi ones (have an old PC-7FNW) go for looks over useability these days. And while most think optical drives are thing of the past, in the last two years they've been a godsend, both for watching films and series without worrying about bandwith, as well as good sound and image quality. Also great if you have a collection of classic games, including the old boxes with those spinny things called CDs and DVDs. Or want to fit some useful devices like card readers, especially for bigger cards. I don't want to have dozens of things hanging of my PC, I've got a case where I can fit them. And it's not like I don't need the USB connections with, a mouse, HOTAS (2 Devices), Rudder Pedals, a TrackIR, a wheel and Pedal set, a Shifter, an external Harddrive and a Scanner hanging off that already. Thank god I'm running an old PS/2 keyboard, or I'd really be having trouble. Nevermind me thinking of anything like a DAC. Then Phantek Enthoo of the older gens look nice, but then with 27 kilos they are extremely heavy.

@@carlkidd752 Thanks, will take that under consideration. Was looking at some of the older Enthoo Primos, and with 17.something kilos they are just inside the weight limit. I was looking at a bigtower. But, having had a first look at the Carbide Air 540, it does look interesting. Might have to look if they have a bigger variant.

@@Bizarny Number one I own those movies, I own the pressed version without having to worry about the version being changed, whenever the publisher is following the next craze. Additionally a pressed (not burned) DVD/Blu-ray is quite long lived, and I don't have to worry about a Harddrive going bad or something getting corrupted by online storage. Archive disks exist for a reason. As far as Remux go, what is the sound encoding on those, full surround support? Same for the games, I own them, I know how to run them, and unless the CD stops working, why should I get the GoG Version? I like them, but I reserve buying for games I never got around to playing. I also know how to run those old games from GoG. Also not all games I have are old enough to be on GOG. And some Addons I own would require me to buy a second version for the download version. Also I have the installation version+Patches should the dev go tits up. And if you run stuff like X-Plane 10 or 11, there is a disc version, where all you need as DRM is one CD Check every 24 hours. No online connection, nothing. Admittedly installing from 6 DVD is a bit annoying, but that happens once, and then you can just move the folder at your leisure. A Blu-ray version would be nice for X-Plane 12....and knowing my friends who have the new MSFS 2021. I'm pretty sure they would've liked a disc Version, preferably as Blu-ray, because downloading 100GB takes a while. I mean it's bearable if you have a 400 Mbit/s connection, but if your internet isn't as quick, the disc version is faster and the download volume is only the updates. Remember even today, not everywhere has 400mbit/s+ Download speeds. Some Rural places even in the US and Germany struggle to get 20 Mbit/s. I like having the option of an optical drive, for all those reasons and I can also run CDs and take audio from them if I need it. If you have a collection of CDs and even Records that is a nice feature. Yeah, I'm not just using it for Gaming or entertainment...... What I do not like is having to hang dozens of things unecessarily of my case. I like it being clean in that way, having all the necessary stuff neatly stowed away in the case. 5.25 slots are not just for Optical drives, they were in the past an integral part of building your own customized PC, because you could choose your own Fan control, your own Card Reader, front panel, etc. You're giving up all that freedom by not having those. Now you're limited to what the Case manufacturer gives you. Or you have to use one of your rather sparing USB connections. I still like my old Scythe Six-channel fan control, the display is a bit wonky, but it still works after over 10 years. Sorry mate, but your comment is just another one of those, "why do you need an optical drive, bro, it's so early 2000's". The funny thing is, the case developers these days are so consumed by making their cases look clean on the inside, but to make them useful as working machines we have to dangle a dozen things off them. The Carbide looks like quite a neat solution to the cooling issue.

@@LupusAries built 1 x-78 4 x-99 and 1 x570 PCs all using this case. downside: only 2 fans included and if you want to use an arctic LF II 280, it fits, but tight squeeze. Also many of the bigger tower air coolers will not fit. I used corsairs 280 aio and they fit just fine. Easy to work in. PSU, optical drives and SSD cages all on the back side of the MB panel holder. 2 HDD drives slot into the bottom (gpu side), but I never used them, so just pulled the slide out cages and wiring. NOT a candidate for a custom loop due to the 2 compartment build.

@@carlkidd752 Thanks for the further info. I was looking into that AIO recently, as faffing about with my old Mugen 2 just got a bit too anoying. Still perfectly fine performance-wise, but it is just such a faff to take it out. Especially since the rear cut-out in the Lian-Li is a bit to far back on relatively modern Mainboards, they moved the CPU-socket a bit more centrally on those. And with some fettling the 280mm Radiator Corsair AIO would fit in this case as well. The Obisidian 750, especially the Airflow does also look nice, and lighter than the Enthoo Primo, although the latter looks a bit better, and I like the seperated PSU concept. Decisions, decisions. ;)

I wish the air flow was better in my mid tower, but I LOVE the minimalist look of the cases.

It may not be the tiniest SSFF case, but the craftsmanship seems to be top-tier in comparison. It's truly fascinating what companies have been able to fandangle when it comes to small "towers"; part of what makes it my favourite size to build in.

everytime Jay says "as you can see" i imagine a super offended blind dude screaming at the top of his lungs "NO JAY I CAN'T F@CKING SEE" and it cracks me up

Since I'm not planning for a highest-end build, I can totally see myself building a good one for my son with this case. That's an awesome case, and I fell in love with it as well.

I loved building in my Phanteks Enthoo Pro 2. Build quality A+, the amount of extra "stuff" in the box was fabulous. And, I caught a sale. $50 off full price.

Awesome case! I have a huge full-tower case (thats larger than most full tower cases). I still like the design of it which is why I bought it, but I deeply regret not going for something smaller & lighter thats easy to move around when necessary

I generally enjoy building in Phanteks cases. I started with my nephew's build in a P300, ended up doing a couple of builds in the P400A, and my current build is in the P600S, which has been a great case. If I had to do another SFF build, I'd love to try it in this case.

I have the Phanteks Evolv X. I'm utilizing the fill and drain ports and have their D140 Distribution Plate and Glacier R220C Combo Reservoir + DDC pump. I just fall in love again every time I take it apart for cleaning and build back.

I want to build a Home entertainment PC for my living room and i think you have just introduced me to my new case. I love phanteks cases anyway and my main rig is a P600s and i love it and was an absolute joy to build in. Thank you and please do a build in one.

Love Phantek Evolv Shift design I have had mine for +4yrs. Only issue I have is the thermals aren't good. Tempered glass sides look great but there's just not enough air flow. This new case however looks very nice!

I have a Phankteks Enthoo Pro II and just love it! Phanteks accessories box is just enough to make your jaw drop. They are so well organised! Love the video!!

I hoped the shift 2 would fit a 240/280mm radiator. I really loved the vertical designs

Never thought i'd be impressed by a case manual but Jay has a point, that is a great manual.

Damn the manual for that case is one of the best i see for a pc case if not the best I've ever seen.

That's an awesome little case. I agree, Phanteks has some great designs. I particularly like when cases are made of actual metal - like with the anodized aluminum of that one there. Large amounts of plastic on cases bothers me.

ITX builds are my dream rigs and this case looks so good props to phanteks

I believe MetallicGear cases are also made by Phanteks. I have the MetallicGear Neo 2 Mini and I like it. Quite roomy for a mini ITX case without being huge and great radiator mounting options.

Mine came in yesterday too and I'm blown away seeing it in person. It's fricken beautiful. Honestly think it's so much nicer than the ghost and the Thor, with way more compatibility and options. Now I'm just waiting for the new EK strix waterblock I have pre-ordered (and my 1700 quantum block) and I'll be swapping my 12900k strix 3080Ti build from my Hyte Revolt 3 into the shift XT. I'm going to mod the top radiator bracket to fit a 280mm rad, an alphacool st30 crossflow, as it will fit I just need to make room for the outputs. Other than that I think it'll work great. I have an ek ddc x-top pump I'm going to try and make work, but if not I have an eisstation 40, the solo, and a couple dc-lt2's to rig some sort of back up option. Now that I have it though I'm gonna start really testing out potential layouts. I would love to be able to use a DDC FLT80 but I don't think I'll be able to work it. We'll see.

To many people sleep on Phanteks cases, I have used the same case for the last 3 builds , the case was well designed and easy to work.

I've had one Phanteks case in the past and i loved it! allowing people to adjust the size is a great idea instead of it being just too small or a little bigger than you want you are far less limited.

I can just picture a random member of the manual design team watching this with a smile on his face and tears in his eyes

I actually preordered my case upon availability, received it a few days later and I’m currently rebuilding my itx build in this case and sooo looking forward to seeing it completed 🥰🥰🥰. The manual alone is worth buying the case for just due to the quality put into it and the directions actually being correct and usable …. IKEA I’m looking at you 🤯🤦🤦‍♀🤦‍♂

Wow, this case really looks like they've thought of basically everything. Honestly if I hadn't already committed to a Mjolnir I would be buying this boy.

This case would be really good for use in like a college dorm room where space is at a premium. Would love to see a build with something like the Prime A520 M-K.

My issue with SFF cases as small as this is I have my case against the wall, always (small room, yada yada). Good looking case though, NR200P might be a better choice for some people who also put their computer against a wall and want to downsize. I highly suggest building in ITX, something about it just feels cozy :) (Also bizarrely less frustrating and feels easier to work on to me on the account of the size)

This is the nicest tiny case I've seen in a while. Thank you for the review! I have had a dream of such a build in almost 5 years now. Hope I can do that in near future. Just have to save some money, things are expensive out here in Norway! :(

this is the first case in a while that has me excited. I have an old v4 Ncase M1 that has been great until 30 series. since it doesn't have ventilation in front of the GPU temps get into the 90s pretty easily. I may have to check this one out as a replacement

It's always been good, but I'm really admiring the videography of this video. That zoom and focus on the screw holes - clutch! Props to the man behind the camera.

My cheap'ish Enthoo 719 made me fall in love with Phanteks.. the manual, the box with screws, build quality, everything. For me Phanteks is the nonplus ultra when it comes to the complete package.

I love their cases. Well made and beautiful.

My first pc build was in a Phanteks case. The instructions were so clear, and everything was neatly organized, like their screw case. I recently bought a NZXT H510 Flow and it came with none of that lol. Crappy instructions that seem to be a all-in-one for all of their cases, screws in sealed plastic bags that can't be resealed, etc. I had to watch a tutorial on how to open the case because the instructions were strapped inside the case lol. The case itself is pretty great at the price I got it for ($80 CAD), no complaints, but the build experience was nowhere nearly as smooth as with Phanteks.

Cool Case! I would prefer the gunmetal one more, too. Thanks for showing, i will have this case in mind for future builds.
