Thank you for making and sharing this video. This is an honest and perceptive presentation. I am one of those older, white men you referred to early in the video. I have never wanted to carry a knife, but I dress down on the streets to avoid attracting the wrong sort of attention. There is an argument that the reason so many young people, mainly men, carry knives is to protect themselves.That is not to say this is a good decision, because many end up drawing the weapon, attack someone, and end up in prison. The problem is that the police have abandoned the streets; they rush around in cars but don't walk the beat and engage with the community. Therefore, doing this would help to reassure people that they do not need to carry a weapon. With regard to banning knives, some knives such as kitchen knives have legitimate uses, so they simply cannot be banned. But those which are designed to be a weapon should be banned a lot more robustly. There should be severe penalties for selling, buying and owning such weapons; and rigorous police action to enforce the law. These weapons need th be made as rare as guns.

theres actually more knife crime in america at the moment than the uk, even if we both had the same population they still got more knife crime. seen it on a yt vid so dont quote me on that but the worlds going down hill faaast

Yea London got a population of 9.4 million and the most homicides they seen was 159

@@User-20472london has a population of 7 million, 9 million is Greater London. Also, the homicides numbers are low, but if u knew how many of them happen in just one area u wouldn’t say it’s safe. Homicide rate in my little area was 11 per 100k, that ain’t good. But the area right next to it hasn’t had a homicide in over 3 years. So it evens out
