I only just watched this, as we wanted to film my reaction, but once again I'm so incredibly grateful to you and your team. Its a tense time and having people like Bernard Keane attacking me makes me the pressure worse: its clear I'm trying to improve this country, I've paid a heavy price for it. Those who attack me, whether they know it or not are simply doing the governments work for them. The judge will decide my sentence, based on law. For the record, it makes no sense putting highly trained special forces soldiers in with people like those who have tried to kill you: you are in danger of producing a very dangerous class of criminal. Its actually already an offence for those with specialised military knowledge on weapons and tactics, such as special forces have, to associate with criminal groups such as Outlaw Motorcycle Gangs. Why then would be put the two together for a period of many years, bonded by sense of injustice, and united against a common enemy, the rest of society? Jail doesn't scare a Special Forces soldier, but losing their honour and reputation does, and that is enough. Just my opinion, but I stand by it, and as you have pointed out, its opinion based on actual experience in the military and criminal law, rather than self-righteous umbridge from the tables of inner city cafes. Thanks again. I owe you more than I can possibly repay.

I only hope that this wrong is corrected sooner rather than later for all it represents is totalitarianism, corruption and apparent disgrace in our government. In iceland we had asian restaurants like that and turns out the owner human trafficked all the workers here and made the people permanantly in dept to him. So yeah its always suspicius when there are lot of locations with 0 costumers

I stopped paying for newspapers of any stripe back then out of a petty reluctance to shell out money for propaganda. You know, if I have to be propagandised, it seems a bit of an insult to have to pay for it too. But good for all the kind-hearted people out there who are more generous than I and pop a few coins into the mainstream tin, and clearly into the sham-alternative media tin as well.

I don’t really have much of an issue with Crikey. They’re the nest of a bad bunch when it comes to mainstream Australian news websites. But this story on McBride is actually ridiculous. He’s a whistleblower. Who cares if some right-wingers platform him? Does that somehow discredit his whistleblowing? I don’t really get what kind of angle they were going for here beyond some kind of personal gripe.

Way ahead of ya. Cancelled my subscription to Crikey a few years ago.

I ripped into Dominos in an email they sent as a response to a complaint. Ordered an extra large pizza for delivery ($15 standard deal thats always on and $4 extra for the increased size), turned up burned, cold, late and the tracker never worked. Received the standard automated response with a voucher for another free pizza. Trying to redeem it I was rather miffed, was for a large pizza, wouldnt work with the $15 delivery deal so Id have to add extra things on to spend the minimum $22.50 in addition to the pizza just to qualify for delivery. Imagine getting a substandard product just for their reaponse to be "Yeah you can spend more on things that you don't want just to get a replacement that isnt the value of the initial goods." It was literally cheaper to buy a new extra large one than redeem this "apology," pizza.
