I'd say extra enemies never works against you, unless you're explorer, extra enemies means more material drops which means more XP and Money. It's why Loud is probably the strongest character in the game, not from the +30% damage but from the +50% enemies. Since you convert the higher kill rate into more upgrades. Gentle Alien is by far one of the best tier 1 upgrades in the game.

Funny enough I just recently played Brotato again, the DLC is upcoming and the game is overall a lot of fun. Apprentice is also a really solid character, losing HP usually doesn't matter a lot if no enemy survives, and 38 is a respectable level, so well done. Just as a tip, bonus enemies is always worth it unless you are struggling with the waves. I would kind of advice against the use of it if someone is not familiar with the waves (as in, already having a decent feeling ahead of time if the next wave(s) will be easy or not), even just +5% could mean 1 enemy survives per wave, over 40/50 seconds that means an army hunts you down. The lategame core is usually crit, bonus material from crit (hunting trophy), giants belt (until wave 40, enemies lose 10% of their currentl health on crits, bosses & elites 1%, but after 40 it loses more and more effectiveness). Very solid run

Brotato is one of my favorite roguelikes just due to how easy it is to make yourself op. And theres a lot of different viable builds for you to try. And mod support so even if the base game feels dull, just install some mods

You should play that one character that is based around a higher max dodge, and build up dodge till you get the statue item. I think that would get you 100% doge while standing still

i really dont understand him sometimes.. he keeps saying the enemies are getting stronger, but they arnt. he is killing everything in a single hit but complains about not doing enough damage. he complains about how hard things are getting yet he finishes most rounds with his shield still in tact and dodging most attacks.. is he playing a different game than he's recording?
