Well with the smoke a real fire would cause it would not be able to blow it all away, which makes this super usefull for overcooked food and still being a better option than covering turning off or removing your alarm.

But I think the Anti-smoke detector should have a small beep as long as it's put there so even if you forget to take it off someone will hear when they walk past it and hopefully remove it.

This will actually still work if there's an actual fire, because the smoke will be much thicker and the fan won't be able to blow all of the smoke away.

I'm with you. My smoke detector used to be a pain in the ass and would go off if a small amount of oil hit the smoke point.

After working around people for many years. You may need a lawyer if something happens.

This is actually pretty useful. Those fire detectors can really make someone's head hurt and I doubt the fan could fan off thick smoke from actual fire

Idk how your going to survive because the smoke alarm can call the firefighters

I actually think this can be turned into a somewhat good product. Imagine this same thing but the fan is built to only turn on for 0-30 mins (Can be adjusted) and then it shuts off by itself. It allows you ample time to cook your food and if people forget to turn it off then the fan will automatically turn off in a short time period.

i mean technically it has been .. i have Heat detctors \ in my kitchen rather then smoke detectors.. same concept but a heat detector only goes off after its excessed a given temp rather then detecting smoke so smoke wont set it off while cooking food

This wouldn’t be necessary considering kitchens are supposed to have HEAT detectors which only detect from the heat of a fire not smoke ones

Breaking news: House fire rates just went up to 100% due to people putting mysterious objects on there smoke alarm

I actually worked on building this for a guy who had patented this. To be fair, his idea included a timer so that the fan would only run for five minutes or so. There was a wireless remote to trigger the fan and timer. Basically, it was a temporary mute for a smoke alarm. But I just use a broom handle to knock the smoke alarm off the ceiling.

I think you simply need to put the heat into medium if it already start smoking. Its also helps ur food more crisp and cooked in the middle slowly

The difference between when smoke would be detected, and when the smoke is thick enough to overpower this braindead smoke deflection unit, is probably the same difference between when you have enough time save your own life, and when you dont.
