It's not easy to find men good at anything anymore

My favorite thing about him is that he is a deer hunter first, and a camera man second. He focuses on the details and the experience of the hunt, not on getting the perfect kill shot camera angle or perfect footage. Plus he's willing to share any knowledge he has which is rare.

A proper deer sausage sandwich is very key!

I went to sticks in 2023 had four found I needed five in some cases. Going to carry five in 2024

A friends of mine and I had the same type of privilege back 12ish yrs ago when we were privileged to become friends with and hunt with Lane and Larry Benoit. Larry was past his prime yrs by quite a ways but the knowledge he would share in his stories was priceless. Lane of Larry’s sons was very close with us the last couple yrs before he passed away. We hunted with him a ton those last couple yrs. and he shared every bit he knew. Now we live in the Northeast and these guys were arguably the best or at least as good as anyone at the buck tracking way of hunting big woods bucks. It amazed me to listen to Larry and to walk in the woods with Lane cuz they would see and tell you about stuff I would have clearly walked by without even a second thought. They have both since passed but I look back upon my little bit of time with them and I’m amazed at what I was able to pick up just by listening and paying attention to them. Dan is much the same with his hunting style. Sure was he the first most likely no but the first to share his knowledge freely so others can possibly experience the stuff he gets to in the woods. I appreciate all the people who inspire me in my hunting endeavors and glad there’s guys and gals out there that will share what they know with all of us!!!!!

I only hunted with him 1 weekend and for drives a different type of hunting, everything you said I seen but I have 1 more to ad. Agressive to a point where he says don't worry about distance time what it takes to get there just go and do it.

i've been watching Dan for the last couple years now and the one thing Josh said that I can really relate to is the WHY, whenever I am in the woods and I find sign I ask myself why was it there? And how does it relate to the piece of property that I'm hunting? and that always made the decision of what tree is the kill tree seem easier. but I don't think I've ever heard another person. Describe it quite like that. really enjoy both of your channels. Keep up the good work.

Great video...very timely. Just thinking about newbes, they are bombarded with "stuff". You need to own one of these and do that, but little about scouting. We are led to believe that hunting needs to be all technical and that leads to being worried about everything but simply hunting...keep it simple stupid, scout lots then hunt.👍

Love Dan because there is no fake anything about him. Integrity is the first word that comes to mind when I hear the name Dan Infalt. There's many in whitetail world that have modeled their methods from his own method and in my opinion he doesn't get near the amount of credit and recognition that he should. 100% whitetail hunting revolutionary

Your video was short and to the point “KISS” (Keep It Simple Stupid)! This word is useful in many things, I use it for my kids in Basketball and other sports along with everyday life.🦌🇺🇸🙏

I really enjoy your content. I'm an old guy that hunts what you call "Hill Country". I love Dan and some of his advice, but I'm not a swamper. There just aren't many swamps hunting the public in Pa. where i hunt. Keep it coming.

Im from central pa mifflin county area. I've been fortunate enough to kill multiple 150 inch bucks on public land. What I've learned is they live on the steep faces up on the top third of the mountains. I sit in archery in funnels, low spots on the top of the mountain or benches down over from the top. Most of the bucks I've killed have been in the most rugged areas out of a whole mountain range. The number one rule I found is big bucks go where people don't. Unfortunately most of the hunters around here have gotten too old or just don't wanna hunt hard enough to get into them arears anymore which is why the bucks are living there.

I screwed up and missed a good buck because I didn’t want to wear my wrist strap release trying to stay warm and wearing mittens and stuck it in my 5:04 pocket instead, the buck came in fast and caught me fumbling trying to get the release outta my pocket ….. stupid mistake cost me a good buck 😡
