Honmi is basically the one that kickstarted the osu coaching scene, he's the one that runs the largest coaching discord server, so it makes sense lol. Also, playing for the world cup on team USA means you're basically forever recognized in the community.

yep, I didn't want the outro to drag on too long but I did unmute afterwards and we talked about the whole thing! (also the actual reveal where I showed him it was me was a little anticlimactic so I wasn't inclined to include it in the video anyway.) and thank you for the kind words!

Great video! One thing that surprised me was that the coaching tips were still helpful to a longtime player such as you even though they were more geared towards new players.

It's something to keep in mind in general: Teaching a skill is not the same skill, *as the skill itself.* That is, you can be level 99 at a skill, but your teaching rank is still only level 1. When we improve at a skill, it often becomes subconscious, because that is faster. We don't need to think. You can see this a lot with artists: This is where the "Draw the rest of the owl" meme comes from because it is so common. People who coach and tutor others are people who have improved their ability to teach. This means they are still *conscious* of what they are doing still. They have delved down and analysed what is actually going on, they've dragged all that subconscious ability up and *analysed it*. This is why @shikkesora has tips for one of the top rank players in the world: He is aware, and understands what he is doing, more than shikke does.

great thing about this is that even though you were pretending to be a newer player and are actually one of the best, you still humbly took the coaches tips and still tried to improve.

that ending was actually hilarious. i love all the random close calls too

I’m left handed but use the pen in my right has definitely have been a learning curve that one day I will be able to master. Thank you for entertaining us and for the content 🙏

Chicony did a similar thing in russian (think it has eng subtitles too)and it ended up wholesome (i did not expect that from russian osu content). Let's see how honmi's rendition turns out (it's the first English one i guess)

This is, for some reason, comfy and relaxing for a osu content. I don’t how to explain it but, before i knew it the video already ends.

Its always amazed me that even tho osu has such a comparatively small community it still has so much quality content being made

Watching that last song was so insane because I listen to it all of the time, also got major Zylice vibes too from when he was faking being a Vtuber.

Really smart way of doing something like this, especially on bancho. Personally think it wouldve been a better idea to claim you got banned on bancho and logged into someones account on a private server. Wouldve made the close call with the logins non existant. Very entertaining video though, I enjoyed seeing the small genuine improvement with your aim through the course of the video :))

this makes me wanting to attemt going into beat saber again. it was fun for a long time and i was quite good (nowhere near pro level of course but quite good for a casual mortal) but then i unrelatedly paused for a while and gotten a (no joke) stroke, i've tried it a few times since and i was still mostly at my level but still loosing that bit hit bad. i gotta stop pushing it infront of me all the time, no effort no gain

i was supposed to do my bio work but this video was way more interesting than PMAT and Cytokinesis, I enjoyed watching this video! It was really entertaining :D

I played osu for a week, for 90% of the time couldnt figure out what in the world i was doing, eventually managed to start a game, and realized id totally have loved playing this game with proper setup Then i had to return the school computer and haven't played since rip

This is next level trolling lol I love it

honnestly really cool video i never play osu but almost enjoy it

otd is perfect for being able to bring your tablet into class to play osu on the school computer, they a real one for that

A lot of getting good involves small mental adjustments. There's an important difference between "just click the circle better" and telling someone that the speed pickup comes from the step where the eyes acquire a target.

Is it easy to get into if I've played some couple dozen hours of the project diva series (generally only up to hard and that's alrdy a struggle with the darn multi holds) and some beat saber? And what's better, an Xbox 360 controller or keyboard and mouse? Last (2 part) question: how many songs do you get if you buy the game and is it easy to add new/custom ones?

1. osu has no multi holds, so it might be a bit simpler! it's only on PC, so you would have to use keyboard and mouse (it's coming out for phone soon too, where you'll be able to use your fingers) 2. the game and all the songs are 100% free, you just download the songs, double-click the files that you downloaded, and they automatically get added to your game! hope that helps :) and sorry for no reveal, the footage ended up being pretty anticlimactic so I ended up not included it. but thank you for watching!!

Im a lefty as well, but I use my right hand to aim. I've tried aiming with my left hand but my right can't tap as well! I think i'll give it a try though.
