    Why does the east do not like full tang knifes? This is the 4th eastern nife smith that I have watched and doesn't make full tang knifes. They all have enough material, yet they cut it off. Strange.😲😲

    Beautiful work, I use vegetable oil to quench my blades smells much better and doesn’t stain blades really dark

    @user-fx4kn4lg2b if you don't get the steel hot enough, it won't properly harden. And you might need fresh oil if you've already used it.

    It is 100% unnecessary to unwind and clean the individual strands. At welding temperatures, oils and organic impurities are just atoms floating on the wind, and dirt liquefies to slag. Borax is extremely acidic at these temperatures and does a fine job cleaning the now molten impurities off along with the scale. Amateur knife makers came up with the idea that you have to clean cable before forge welding it, but you 100% do not.
