Also a MHC fan. I wish this book could be a movie. I think it would be great.

I read MHC as an adult the way I read fairy tales as a child. : I know the damsel will be rescued and the dragons slain. I can appreciate that in a world so fraught with painful circumstances for so many. The beauty of the novelist is like a god, the author may create and command without the bothersome free will. How things turn out is entirely up to the fiction writers who recreate the best of all possible worlds.
