Two power singers...Personally I like how Gladys shares the stage with other performers. Jennifer wasn't sure of the boundaries and played it safe. I understand that. Gladys is shining brighter than ever..if thats possible....A memorable performance.

You have to respect a young singer singing with a Legend. Damn if you do, damn if you don't. If you rise to the occasion of the legend...people say you were trying to out sing the legend. If you don't rise to the occasion, people will say you're passive and need to get off the stage. I happen to think all singers should rise to the occasion! Gladys has a great voice and doesn't need anyone to take it easy on her. Go J.Hud!

Gladys is the kinda star that don't get off on that upstaging thing, she's GLADYS KNIGHT, she has sang with people like Chaka Khan, Natalie Cole and Patti LaBelle who is more of a show stopper than Jennifer, but Gladys always says when you sing with her, just be yourself, that's what she told hollering Patti Labelle.

Exactly Jennifer is very humble and Gladys knight wanted to hear Jennifer Hudson sing and gave her the ok so i don't know why all the hate towards Jennifer and in my opinion they both sound great.

Wow Gladys Knight must be taking care of her voice very well like Celine Dion bc it hasn't aged much. The band was over powering the mics a bit and I like Jennifer but this ain't it. She wasn't bad BUT she wasn't great either. This is more of Fantasia's Style.

Jhud is essentially a pop / r'n'b singer (of the mediocre contemporary variety). Fantasia is full on soul and gospel. There's a huge difference in the level of quality required for the two ends of the spectrum. Fantasia can easily keep up with Patti, Gladys, Stevie Wonder - anyone from that generation really. Jhud can't.

Jennifer needs to LEARN how to respect the older Divas that paved the way for her to be who and what she is and quit trying to always upstage everybody. True, Jennifer can sing, but if you can sing, and you know it and the world knows it, why do you have to keep trying to prove a point towards being disrespectful to super entertainers like Ms. Knight? She's gonna have to learn that she'll never have a "sell-out" live show on her own (without needing some other act in addition to herself) until she learns when to tone it down & when it's time to let it all hang out. Jennifer has the vocals, but not performance "maturity." I would pay to see her as long as a really great "other" act was performing on the same show. I wouldn't go see Fantasia if they offered her performance "free" of charge.

Gladys held that tone when she went against Pattie in those verses. Gladys had those instrumentals and she put on a live concert. She won that battle. She came prepared. Pattie forgot the words to her songs. Gladys had to help her out.
