I know what you mean about not feeling right and I think you’ll know when you find it. I grew up in a large city that’s even larger now but I loved all the shops and restaurants but then there’s the traffic and smog. I now live in a small town that I love but I get to visit my family in the city. Best of both worlds! 🥰

Columbia, Tennesse is a fabulous place to live & so is Murfreesboro, Tennesse!

Myrtle beach South Carolina love it here… or Charleston South Carolina. I think y’all would really enjoy Charleston. It’s beautiful and has that slower lifestyle that you can stop and take in and just relax with your kids.

There was a rainforests cafe in Cali when I was little like 8.

My birth mom lived in Gallatin Tenn. and loved it. She raised 6 kids there. I have been there 5-6 times and loved it. There is a lake there lots of outdoor stuff to do. It is North of Nashville 30 miles give or take a few. She now lives in Nashville and works at the Opry. I love Tenn. but love NC a bit more just because you have the beach and the weather is better IMO. You guys are having so much fun and I love it. It reminds me of when I drove my kids out there and we did all the fun stuff. I miss those days.

Oh cool! We might’ve been at the mall at the same time if you went Saturday the 26th (: we tried to go to the rainforest cafe but forgot to do reservations days in advance. 😅 There’s a mall in Franklin/Cool Springs we went to as well and that area is definitely up and coming. I would say Spring Hill is the same although definitely more up and coming residentially. A lot of people who live in SH work in Nashville.

I cannot recommend Weatherford texas enough. They have a peach festival every year, and the people are just the sweetest ever. Also is full of gorgeous historical homes!

I hope you guys are bound for the Oregon coast. All that small town coastal charm with moderate weather year round lol

There's a Rain Forest Cafe at Disney Springs (Downtown Disney) in Florida. It's so fun to have lunch there.

I know you only passed through Charlotte but, it’s worth a second look - my husband and I grew up in DC and needed to escape the cost of living. Charlotte has been awesome. And if get snow in the morning, it’s gone by the afternoon 👌🏼

We honeymooned in sevierville, Tennessee and absolutely loved it there. Very quiet and country side but only 30 minutes from both gatlinburg and pigeon forge

We've vacationed in Nashville many times and Franklin is such a neat town. We love the house styles there and the slower pace. (OMG the construction in Nashville right now!!!)

Greenville, SC has a beautiful town! Fort Mill SC is amazing but it is a smaller town!

Yeah our Rainforest Cafe went out of business in Michigan. Mostly cause it was expensive and terrified young children.

Look at Kansas. Not a tourist area but has som really great places to live for a reasonable price. Very family friendly.
