I booked a one week stay in Acapulco for late January of next year. All I read lately is that it’s super dangerous there. Supposedly the State Department has recommended that Americans not go there. Is this something you have heard too?

I don´t know anyone that has recommended this place to visit and I have been here for almost 20 years.

Yes! I travel and visit Cancun and Cabo often, but I would never go to Acapulco right now. The danger is well known

I know you're just kidding about marrying a Mexican just for a couple of days, but some people might think that you're not kidding. I'd be interested to know if marrying a Mexican to get residency is a crime in Mexico like marrying a US citizen to get US residency is. That's super sad about the monkeys.

Hello Andrea, Great to hear from you. Yeap, the monkey thing is really sad and unbelievable. I had a very good friend in Puerto Vallarta, a female friend from the US, she was very well educated, managed many businesses in PV and she met a Mexican man that she became good friends with. He wanted to live in the US, so she married him to help him out. they had no relationship other than friendship. Whatever right. Have a great Memorial Week and you take care. Best, Bill

@@BillDallasLewis It's amazing, I have been coming to Mexico for the past 3 years. I NEVER heard someone even raise their voice. I go to the biggest produce street market all over Mexico City, Guadalajara and Morelia where I am currently residing, and will be here, for the rest of my life, and I have NEVER seen a Mexican cussing out each other, raising their voice, if they don't get the right taco, going for a gun in their car or home, and killing everyone. I NEVER go home to my apartment, and someone blocks me declaring I don't belong in a certain institution or neighborhood. I NEVER had a Mexican clutch their purses, or follow me around a store. I NEVER had a Mexican threaten to call the police on me because they disagree with me. I could go on, and on. There are some people all over the world that have been given privileges over others, as a result, they are afraid of everyone who doesn't look like them. I don't know any place on earth that is more dangerous than the United States. I fled there, because of how dangerous and racist it is. I wouldn't leave my house, and I lived in an affluent neighborhood. GMAFB
