I like how she knows the pitch with her voice and stops to correct the keys on the piano. True world class talent to realize the piano was off and pitch correct on the spot. I am glad she did not hide those spots as most would. I think it shows she has the ear and talent for singing on a massive scale.

Listening from America....the imperfect piano, and stay at home technology....only serve to perfectly frame her amazing vocal performance!!! I'm grateful for these home vignettes with a humble superstar. After Covid is slain, maybe David Foster and full orchestra should produce an entire show with her so more could appreciate her singing....no one here sings like her. Yet her gentle, generous and funny personality makes Mori so relatable! Praise God the Creator for blessing us all! There's still goodness from Him in these dark times!!

This is only my opinion, so please take it for what it's worth. There is something special in this lady's voice that even the great Whitney Houston did not have, God bless Whitney's soul. What is that? Well, first of all, let me say that only a small number of singers have ever had it. A few female opera singers over the last century have had it in spades, but popular singers, well, not so much. It is the sorrowfulness that comes with heartbreak fully expressed. This is something that cannot be taught or mimicked. To strike just the right chord, it needs to come from a genuine place - as heartbreak always does. But it also needs authentic expression . Even with her supreme talent, Whitney IMO never did that. Even the greatest singing talent only rarely is combined with full-throated emotional expression. However, IMO, Morissette Amon is one of those few.

No, I've never heard Whitney Houston sing live in person. I've only heard her over various media. She was one of the greatest singers of all time, for sure. However, in my mind - and my my mind only - she lacked depth as a person. Now, I admit that no one can accurately assess the soul of another human being other than God himself, but I've always felt that way about her. Up until now, I've always kept my feelings about Houston to myself. Perhaps I should continue to do so, but that's my intuition about her.

The same happends to me when I listen to Mariah or this young lady right here, they have amazing voices but they don't move me. I felt the complete opposite. That sorrowfulness that you are talking about and the ability to wrap the lyrics in emotions I did not feel here. It is most common in soul and gospel singers. Aretha and Whitney were the best at it. I do agree that it's something that can't be taught. This girl doesn't have that though. No disrespect to her.

@@iss_iam809 Of course, you are entitled to your opinion. I always saw Whitney as a supreme talent, but not someone who was emotionally genuine. Aretha had both. So does Celine Dion. I don't know why I feel that way. It's a gut reaction to Whitney, God rest her soul, that I cannot explain. All the talent in the world cannot make up for this one deficit. BTW, most soul and gospel singers have this, but not only them. Opera singers have it in spades and even more so, so emotional honesty and sorrowfulness is not limited to soul/gospel singers. The movie "The Bodyguard" received rave reviews except in one area: the acting of the lead characters, especially Whitney herself. Why? She comes across as superficial, self-absorbed...petty, even. In other words, what comes across the screen is Whitney herself. It's not disguised. It's in your face. I hate to say these things because she was one of the greatest singers who ever graced this earth. But, ultimately, none of us can be everything. We are all limited.
