Ah yes the typical family that uses the word family when convenient. Don't you just love to see family when problems show up for you, they basically ignore you and/or belittle you. On the other hand, when problems show up within the family, they call you to solve their problems

Apparently some family let het stay for a while and she stole a car, and some stuff to pawn, so one of the uncles had the idea of shoving HS into OP. And since 7 days would make HS a tenant, that's why she says "i only need to stay somewhere for a week so i can get back on my feet.

Not only should OP go complete NO CONTACT with her mother, maternal relatives, and half-sister, she should also move to another state, buy another house, find another job therein, and make her own family that consists of supportive friends, a trustworthy therapist, plus, a warm-hearted man whose family are good people. there were two more updates after this. thanksgiving nothing happened and then Update mainly from Concern Cousin Got an update from my cousin about my half-sister and the situation with her step-brother. First off, half-sister was arrested after stealing her grandmother's car and credit cards. When she was booked, she apparently made it known she was pregnant, but then refused to do a pregnancy test. State laws mean they couldn't force her to. Our cousin says that her period came on while in jail and she claimed it was a miscarriage - it wasn't. She eventually admitted that her grandmother told her to claim pregnant because that was the only way anyone would want to help her. It worked for a time, but her antics made everyone stop beyond trying to push her onto me. She's claiming she had a mental breakdown and that's why she stole the car and so on. Next, the step-brother. Concern Cousin did involve child protective services, mainly for the younger of the two step-brothers since the eldest is 18 already. Both of us were worried half-sister had been involved with him in some capacity too. Their mother was also worried when she got the full extent of what was going on - she had filed her own report and told Concern Cousin about it when they reached out after the older step-brother had a tirade online (essentially saying he was legal and slept with half-sister because he wanted to). It hadn't been a one-time thing either. He and her slept together multiple times, but he's adamant that it was only when he was legal and never before. The younger of the two revealed that half-sister offered to sleep with him too, but emphasized the "when you're legal" part to him every time she brought it up. She was grooming them, at least that's what I feel like she was doing. He described conversations that made him uncomfortable like asking about girls he liked, constantly complimenting his looks, bringing up his age and maturity, so on. Unlike his brother, he never got comfortable with her, but also never said anything because this isn't the first time he's dealt with creepy older women. Both step-brothers are in therapy, solo and family, and their father has lost custody entirely. Hopefully both get the aid they need. I feel disgusted by what I learned, especially because the younger opened up about actually having told his mother about his discomforts - he just wasn't taken seriously by her. My maternal grandmother was also arrested this morning alongside her son, the one that gave her the idea of me taking in my half-sister. Both came by my house trying to plead a case for me to pay half-sister's bail because they can't afford it. The police were called and both were arrested. Maternal grandmother was in direct violation of the restraining order, so I hopefully won't be seeing or hearing from her again after this.

Fast forward to now, All 7 of the siblings get along. On my insistence my mom, my younger sister and her boyfriend moved into my house temporarily because my sister is getting the home place, and she's making a lot of changes to the original structure... I didn't ask for rent and actually I got pissed off when they tried to give it because I love them and the money they'll save on rent could furnish their house when it's done. I have the room and there's very little left on my mortgage, I like the rest of my siblings are all financially secure Everyone keeps everything clean, everyone gets along and they're set to move out soon.

I have a similar situation my father had a daughter with another woman when he divorced my mom the first time around. Her mother is trash, a very vengeful and vindictive person. My father considers her his daughter, but he's never done a DNA test, etc. So I don't really know. I don't really consider her my sister because I just don't know her, never have seen her, etc. She's just family biologically, but not family to me in terms of emotional, etc. To me she's just a stranger. She only calls for money, my father last time asked me for "help" for money, I said hell no. I just don't know her and honestly I don't care. As far as I'm concerned. So I can relate to OP. Just because they are family doesn't mean jack squat.

I gave some advice to keep the party as small as possible, invite only the ones she trusts, and to have someone with her at all times during the party. A party can give HS and her acquaintances to break in and do god knows what. It's been a few days of silence from OP which kind of worries me greatly for her. I already have a bad feeling she may have gotten kidnapped or something worse. I hope she gives an update soon before, during, or after Thanksgiving to let us know she is safe. But, I think it's better for her to move away to somewhere HS's family won't find her. They sound very determined to have HS stay with OP.

At the beginning of the video I was so confused thinking why the half sister was so unprepared at being kicked out at 25 y/o due to being married now thinking why can’t the new husband and his family help if the half sister was that unprepared to live on their own and since the mom’s side of the family was that unwilling to help too, and especially since she’s newly married wasn’t moving in together (half sister and new husband) the next eventual step anyway? Then to hear the real context from the cousin that the half sister was kicked out for sleeping with her Mom’s husband and his kid, who also may have been underage at the time eeek, to then hear she has no work history (meaning she’s likely not working now either) then it was all clicking / making sense. But yeah you can’t sleep with your Mom’s new husband and son and be surprised that she finds out and decides to kick you out, like come on now, half sister doesn’t have common sense or was just unwilling to face the consequences.

Exactly. My heart seriously bleeds for OP, i mean, she'll end up having to move to a far away city to get away from her half-sister and maternal relatives, delete her social media accounts, and disconnect her phone number, to keep them from tracking her down, next, she'll marry a guy who's as awful as her mother is, and become an expectant mother, on the verge of homelessness, when her husband kicks her out, then, move with her kid to another state, to provide him with a safe home environment, find a cheaper apartment in a safe neighborhood, and another job to keep her one-parent household afloat. But sadly, she'll lose contact with her father, and her paternal relatives, and her kid will never get to know his grandfather; the only family OP and her kid will have in her new state is each other, and to avoid making the same mistake her mother is making, OP will need to focus on raising her kid, and being a better mother to him than her mother ever was to her.

The fact that her mother had the time to start a whole affair WHILE recovering from pregnancy is WILD. Considering the time between is 9 months, I assume pregnancy + recovery went... Surprisingly smooth lol. Cheaters are some of the most 🦇💩 individuals, I swear. 😂

How does OP unblocking and muting, at lime 1:41 help him out? If this is for phone calls then would it not really be of any help since to mute a call you'd need to be on the line with someone else. Right? Or is there another way to do what OP is heeding to do to use the unblock and mute functions on a phone?

But HS I thought you didn't have a sister, so which is OP to you huh not a sister or she is a sister? funny how now you got kicked out and abandoned by your mother, now you need something, that OP is suddenly a sister to you. oh so OP is a horrible sister according to mom's family but they aren't horrible uncles, aunts, cousins, grandparents whatever they are, why aren't any of them taking HS in if she's so wonderful and deserves a place to stay?

I might have allowed it on the condition that HS took another pregnancy test in front of me and only allowed her to stay if it was positive. That and if by day 6, the behaviors that didn't have anything to do with HS supposedly having a kid on the way, like breaking or stealing things, show up, call the cops again to put her in a homeless shelter. I'd also be tempted to get a written and notarized agreement that if HS is expecting, the aunt (OP) be granted full guardianship of the kid upon birth since it sounds like she'd provide the with a much more stable environment than anyone else in the poor kid's entire maternal family.

After this video was posted, there was a new Update from the OP u/Specialist-Ball9777 Update: Update mainly from Concern Cousin Got an update from my cousin about my half-sister and the situation with her step-brother.

Growing up in a household created through an affair probably warped her views on loyalty and cheating. But as an adult how long can you blame your parents. She's the monster of their creation and they abandoned her. Why are they surprised she has no loyalty. I feel like the ones who should take her in should be her mom or dad
