I Have NEVER Seen Anything Like This Place!

Ойын-сауық

In this episode - We left the city of Perth after sending our dogs back home to finally heading further up north were the real adventures start to take place. We stopped through Geraldton staying at our FIRST EVER Hipcamp, which we had a little mishap with our van, to then going to one of the nicest free camps which led us to the last destination of this episode LUCKY BAY 30 minutes south of Kalbarri. When I say I have never ever seen anything quite like the this landscape with sand dunes as far as the eye can see. Taking my 4x4 into these dunes really had it testing out my inexperience which really got my adrenaline pumping.

Great drone footage when you were driving up and down the sand dunes. We also had two small dogs we travelled with but don’t have them anymore. It was very bizarre the first time we went on a trip without them. Like you we also were able to go into a supermarket together and went to a restaurant. Still getting used to not having them around. You certainly do a good job finding the more isolated locations considering the lack of signage maybe we will see some fish on the next episode.

Thanks for the comment Sep, it was so weird without the dogs we didn’t know what to do with ourselves haha. Yeah I nearly spat the dummy trying to find that Hipcamp. I got some good footage coming up! Can’t wait to post it

Never go up a dune on an angle..you have the possibility of rolling…your problem is lack of speed..momentum….Lucky Bay is my favourite go to place! enjoy your time there!

Thanks for that tip mate, this stuff all new to me and any advise I get I take on board. Should I have the diff locks on when trying to get up a dune? It is an absolute gem of a spot mate it’s up there with my favourite spot

Hi yes diff locks on if needed…you also state 20 psi would be ok..for me 16 is ideal for sand up there..re the fishing if you go to just south of the lagoon there is an opening in the reef to the open sea..this is where you need to fish…I have caught plenty at that spot..I have been going up there for over 30 years! And will be there in a few weeks time with my van😀

@@bradtottman1425 maybe that’s why I couldn’t make it up cause I didn’t have my diff lockers on! Is the reef your talking about the one at the end of the video with the drone footage? Oh spewin mate I’ll most likely be gone by then, could have gone for a fish!!

Hey mate. I don’t think your recovery points on your ute are suitable for soft shackles. The edges are to sharp. 👍🏻👍🏻
