I’ve watched all your videos as looking into gettin the surgery myself. I’ve been looking into Medaway but there’s a bit on the wed site that I’m abit confused about and wondered if you could help me. It says ‘You will also be invited to book in with London Clinic, where you would of had your FREE Consultation. Here your progress will be assessed and also your health will be assessed to ensure the treatment is working.’ Does this mean you also need to travel to London before and after your surgery?

That’s actually the first I have heard of this and I would ask them about it when you chat to them.

What made you go to Turkey for it ? Was it simply the difference in cost? And with you being in the NHS your self would you say the standards are just as high? As people always say the difference is money is standard

Hi, I'm looking to get my sleeve done with medaway, could you please tell me which hospital they completed the operation at? Mine has been quoted for the Medicine hospital but looking at the reviews from the hospital it has got me a bit worried, however all the negatives are about nose jobs&hair transplants so am hoping the sleeve goes well?! Also, would it be possible to send over some other questions to you about details on how to contact them regarding the airport pickup issue etc? Well done for doing it alone!

Hi Quinn, I can’t actually remember the name of the hospital. But you are up on a private ward, and I felt it was ok. (I have worked in and around nhs hospitals for the last 10 years). Yes add me on insta the_chubby_tiger and call or DM me. You won’t regret it when you have done it it’s a great step and tool to help you with weight management. And I was happy with medaway overall, they had a few issues but all resolved and I’d do it again.

I flew back with Turkish airlines much better and flight was great. Limited pain really get to the airport with plenty of time so that you don’t have to rush and can buy some water gate side etc.

@@thechubbytiger5492 thank you I just had a message saying to book flight ✈ 21st til 27th so confused 😕 She said 1 night in hospital ... you will be having 1 night in hospital and to rest better you will be staying in the hotel room however you will be taken by our transfer team for checkups for 3 times from the hotel to hospital. ☺️🙏🏻

Hi there, you can but no patient lifting etc you might be a little tired but 2nd - 3rd week you get energy back. It’s no lifting heavy things for about 4-6 weeks or it was for me.

Might DM you on Instagram, I'm looking to get this done with MedAway - I feel I have done enough research and same as you I've worked in NHS hospitals for a long time. Only thing is my partner has his own anxieties about the whole thing being abroad "in case something happens" which I understand, but there's always a risk with everything! Are any early complications dealt with in Turkey?

Until you get there, there is not a lot. But you can mitigate it by getting bloods done by your GP etc. when you arrive you get a scan mri bloods etc a full Monty basically. Post surgery they look after you in hospital.
