The die is randomly predetermined as soon as you roll. The game then finds the most natural way for the die to land on that number. This is done with each die and the total is added up. That's my theory at least.

It's terrible game design. 90% of the game is luck and when it's basically you vs 3 CPUs, you have a 3/4 chance to lose every minigame and a minimum of a coin flip for any rolloff.

What happened at 11:37 is that likely, the game doesn't actually use those physics simulated dice to generate the actual rolls. Instead, it probably generates a roll using good ol' RNG, then manipulate the physical dice to land on the pre generated roll, which is technically a more fair way to do it, but it can look very off if one of the rolled dice needs a major push to reach its predetermined value.

The optimal way to fake a dice roll would be to pre simulate the physics simulation, then bake the physics and apply the texture such that the desired roll comes out on top, all before actually throwing the dice. Trying to instead mess with the physics to just force a roll is more work, but it's work that isn't front loaded. Which might be the linchpin here. Pre-simulating and baking the physics would be a lot of processing work right before the roll, so if the Wii couldn't handle it, that could potentially cause a momentary drop in framerate. Messing with the physics during the roll, likely by increasing the weight of the opposing face and giving a bit extra momentum to the die if it's about to land on the wrong face, is a more complicated way of doing it, but is ultimately work done during the actual roll, rather than all at once. The key part though is that you don't want to generate a die roll through an actual dice physics simulation. That's a way less reliable way to get a random number than it is to just generate a random number.

he did a little flappy thing there at the end to stall the time more- so it crossed out the time spent between him pressing the button and the others pressing it. if that makes sense

@@madladofabrit2439 the problem is that "the flappy thing" flapped for the EXACT amount of time needed to hit 1:20 sec, just like the others. So i dont think he flapped manually, or at least that the game made him hover just a little bit longer to make it a exact match

Poofesure’s voice has lived through so many videos I’m convinced it is indestructible. Edit: Holy moly I have never gotten this many likes, lol thank you so much!
