@@garry8390there's evidence that she has had this tumor a very long time and they have hormone receptors. Brain tumors are actually very common. It's not often talked about. What in the world is your problem that you have to comment something like that to someone who is trying to recover?

As a nurse in Canada, I encourage you to send the link to this video to the hospital in which you were treated and that the nurse and the resident who saw you in emergency made to review it and reflect LONG AND HARD on how they FAILED to abide by their ethical and professional standards of practice in the way they treated you.

My cousin was having these headaches and the doctor thought something was up so they made him get an MRI. The second the doctor got the image back, they made my cousin go to the hospital in an ambulance and got the tumor removed. Turns out it was giloblastoma the most aggressive cancer you can get. 5 years on and he's still alive. He's part of that 2% that make it to 5 years.

Your family is blessed. My ex husband was diagnosed on Memorial Day of 2021. He passed away on 9/01/23. My adult children were happy for the time they had with him. It's difficult watching their grief journeys. My prayers are with any families who have a loved one with the terrible diagnosis of glioblastoma.

@@mindenn123it's been on and off. He got another tumor removed a couple of years ago. Now he's wearing an experimental essentially cap that emits very low radiation that he has to wear everyday. He's just blessed to one of the very few to alive after 5 years. He didn't even need high dosages of chemo and radiation. The surgeon did a really good job taking most of the tumor out.

My dad was diagnosed in May 2019 and passed away April 2020. One blessing was we got to be with him during his last year, at home, in the hospital, and hospice before Covid shutdowns really went into full effect. I don't know how I would have handled not being able to be in contact with him.

You may not see this, and my comment may fall to the bottom of the pile, but hopefully someone who sees this will read it and feel better. Almost 20 years ago, my mother started having health problems. She was in and out of hospital, being picked up in ambulances late at night from home or work, and doctors did not listen to her concerns (of course, because she's a woman). She had to fight to get any scans. She saw doctors who waived her off and sent her away, and even had a scan with a visible tumour which somehow didnt even make it out of the doctors office. A year of health issues later, they discovered she had multiple extremely rare brain tumours and lung tumours, coupled with graves disease. Her cancer was terminal, and classed as inoperable. She was basically told to go and try to enjoy her remaining time alive, could be months, could be years. Fast forward to today, she had surgery, radiation and chemotherapy which were all successful. She's still around, and the cancer is completely gone, and has been gone for a decade. She does triathlons, runs, cycles, camps solo, hikes. She's seen myself graduate and my brother go to uni. The human body is resilient and amazing.

Her symptoms sound like focal epilepsy or transient ischemic attacks. Add the headache and it sounds like a brain tumor. He should have said it's probably not a tumor

But obviously doctors are people too and have no time and are fallible, thank god we now have AI to better diagnosing and making these things more efficient.

Stuff obviously depends on the idnividual hospitals aswell but ive had similar problems in the past. Went to the ER. Was checked up that same night and they even kept me there for the next day to do some other tests just to be sure. They took my concerns 100% serious and didnt send me home until they were confident. Edit: Just to add to that story, my best friend had a morning of intense headaches a few weeks ago. Was also taken to ER and got the whole checkup. Turned out to just be a migraine but since he never had migraine before, they made double sure its nothing serious. Again, german hospitals did fine by us.

@@sash1ell Nope. Eliminate the worst things within reasonable suspicion. I would have suspected a tumor in this case. However handing out CT/MRI to anyone with a headache to eliminate the worst possibility is simply not possible.

I just happen to have gone through 5 doctors, this week I was diagnosed with several stomach issues, Ulcer, Gallstones etc in one go, because I was sick and tired of nobody listening, I paid for my own CT, ultrasound etc just to prove them this is not due to "anxiety". Even the ambulance I called one time said I just had a stress symptom. Ah yeah "insane pain in chest, not being able to breath and my arms going numb" is a stress symptom. Right. Eff them.

Comments like these are why people complain “why is my medical so expensive?” Our assessments are the cheap way from you spending thousands of more dollars. If every patient that had an anxiety attack got a MRI, the hospital would be extremely rich. We practice safety, so my hospital will have no problem to rule out anything you are fearing. But when the medical bills comes don’t be upset on what you have ordered.

As a medical student in the U.S , they teach us from year one to NEVER invalidate the patients! So disappointing to hear this happened to you!

Yea well in the USA the doctors/Rns push many of us straight to the side and definitely invalidate patients here as much as possible...ive seen far more doctors not act when they should have. Insurance companies rule the USA medical field. Patients don't matter at all without a nice fancy insurance card. Atleast Canada is free. Im a us citizen btw so I'm not even biased. Our medical system just purely SUCKS. Glad you're a health provider of sorts but the USA is hardly proactive in making sure they listen to their patients early. They wait here in the USA till it's mostly if not already too late...ohh unless you're high class and have alot of money that is.

@@daniii2022 yea it might be better but it's only better if you're paying more than a gotdamm mortgage on your healthcare bill every month atleast. Meanwhile, Canada's health insurance is free. Im not saying it's any better at all. What I'm saying is that the USA will only provide u with the good services if youre paying up the ace. Or have a great health benefits plan. But now that the economy sucks even more and now that they've raised min wage for fast workers to 20 gotdamm dollars an hour our benefits have absolutely tanked. Im happy for the min wage workers to get 20 an hour cause I'm not a hater...but that really took out many benefits especially health that could/would have been offered. The 20$ hour for fast food workers in California is a straight up lie. They have made everything so gotdamm expensive we are 70% lower in min wage when compared to wages is in 70s. So in the 70s u got 70% more of your moneys worth for groceries, gas etc compared to now. Our grandparents sit there and complain to us about how we need to do this and that but they need to realize their money was worth 70 fuckyng percent more than our money. Man. Iove my grandma...but she really is delirious to these facts. The older gen wants to act like they worked the very hardest etc etc yadayadayada when yea of course they worked hard but they also had more for their moneys worth by a large margin. This is why u so so many old people with big farms who are on SSI nowadays yet barely keep up. Because at one point their money was Even with their lifestyle...lol not anymore it isnt. Not anymore.

❤ I’m a retired neuro ICU nurse and this makes me sad and angry. Over my 46 yr career I’ve seen so many women get the pat on the head that you’re imagining your symptoms. You have to insist on them doing something. Don’t feel that you’re wrong on doing this. I hope you’re doing better. Make sure you have someone to advocate for you after surgery. I’ll be praying for you.

It's really crazy ! My pediatrician wrote me off as being dramatic. Luckily I had a neurosurgeon already because of a VP shunt and Neurofibromatosis. So we called him in for a emergent MRI and what do you know a big old brain tumor sitting on my brain stem.

It isn't only women. It's young men too. A close relative of mine was a young, strong man who was having terrible back pain. He went to the ER. They took a look at him and decided he was a drug seeker. His testicular cancer was finally diagnosed after his primary care finally referred him to a urologist. It had spread to the lymph nodes by then, but fortunately he has lived a life, and still is. So.... women are not singled out. The busy people listening to never-ending blather and scams still need to take complaints and symptoms seriously.

My mom had migraines all her life. They found a tumor in her 3rd ventricle. They got it out, It was benign and there was no damage to her memory. The headaches stopped. Her surgery was done in Houston Tx. Prayers this goes smoothly

Hi. I am happy for your mom ! My son has a central neurocytoma in the third ventricle . It's been a year now. he is going to have his MRI in two weeks . If the tumor shows signs of growing , he will have to have the surgery to remove it. I am so terrified. We are in Toronto.

Okay that's terrifying.. as someone who's had migraines my whole life I'm currently waiting on the results of my MRI I keep telling myself it couldn't be that because I've had them for like 16 years

Shocking how quick doctors are to assign any woman's symptom to her period or anxiety! Honestly sometimes I think you could walk in with bones sticking out of a compound fracture and they'd hem and haw about whether it was hormonal or psychological! ⁠ It’s not like they laughed at her and sent her home without a scan. They did all the tests she needed (which is how she found out about the tumor to begin with) but I think the problem here is expectation. People need to stop thinking about doctors & nurses as gods who know everything. They are working TOGETHER with you to figure out what’s going on, and sometimes they need to ask silly-sounding questions to really get down to the bottom of it. And 99% of cases are not serious like a brain tumor, yet 50% of patients are paranoid and think they have something like that. So it makes sense for them to exercise caution (imagine if they told everyone “Yes you probably have cancer” when they didn’t!). Bottom line is: People should realize that it’s their right and DUTY to advocate for themselves, as much as it sucks. Like all things in life, healthcare is not perfect. And this woman did a GREAT job advocating for herself.

The worst part of being traumatized is that people expect you to behave as if you aren't.

At 23 years old and 16 weeks pregnant, I went through the same thing with feeling like I had a brain tumor but so many drs telling me, I was way too young and healthy to have a brain tumor! 2 weeks later after begging for an MRI, sure enough I had a walnut size brain tumor! Thank God mine turned out to be benign. It’s come back 3 times but I’m still here and my baby was born healthy as well! Wishing you all the best!!❤

I probably lived my whole life with mine. Was discovered when I was like 29 or 30, but most of the medical community thinks mine is always asymptomatic. Was a pineal cyst and what they didn’t explain me was that the difference between tumor and cyst is that one has fluid, still makes pressure and the brain is a compacted area with very minimum space. I knew I was sick and getting sicker, but lived with that gaslight for 7 years. At the end I was already leaking csf and had developed conditions and symptoms all around my body, I was non-functional. I wish doctors would look at patients with curiosity and if an otherwise healthy patient is developing chronic illnesses like a collection, be curious and understand that something that serious can totally happen to a young person. Another thing I also learned, is more common for women to develop symptoms because we have a few glands in the brain and we have many hormonal changes. What caused my last trigger was a birth control that didn’t agree with my body and when I did my MRI, it had grown double the size since the last checkup. I’m not surprise it happens in pregnancy too.

Medical gas lighting is so gross. I'm so sorry you had to go through that. I'm glad that you continued to advocate for yourself and you found out, unfortunately terrible news, but at least you can progress with a successful surgery! You have your youth on your side and hopefully you will have no trouble recovering. Sending you well wishes! ♡

I have an undiagnosed medical issue and have been through 8 years of specialists. I have come across a lot of ignorant, arrogant and very ineffective doctors. I’ve found the most valuable information online in Facebook groups and Google. I can’t deal with a doctor that tells me to get off the internet. I don’t tolerate it anymore. I think they’re just jealous that they don’t know as much as Google does! 😂

Legit medical gaslighting is ridiculous. I have been complaining of stomach pains and general unwell feeling for about 15 years now and they kept telling me im just fat and need to lose weight. I lost some weight and felt even worse. They tell me im still fat and my body is lazy and i need to work harder. I cant even with these people. I may be fat but i am not that fat ffs. I was in the hospital vomiting blood and after an ultrasound they found a tumor on my pancreas.... But im just fat right? Thats rhetorical i know that its gaslighting.

My brother in law fainted during a massage from work. They found a mass in his brain and removed it and he was confined to his bed for about 4 months afterwards. That was 10 years ago and he's perfectly fine now. I hope this will happen to you. That you will get past it.

This is my biggest fear because I get constant headaches and migraines. You are such a strong woman ❤

I am absolutely horrified by how these professionals treated you - gaslighted, ignored, unheard. It's disgusting. These are the folks who should be working in any other field. Good job advocating for yourself!

Im sad to hear u already went thru operations and all but i truly hope it didnt change u / hurt u, i randomly saw the vid and clicked the link to tell u about natural, special ways to heal it, i have saved both people and animals from both cancer and other things and never uses doctors since i know better than most standard doctors, but i guess i can still recommend a few powerful things, ill say NR 1! is Medical grade "Hydrogen inhalation" ( Lourdes Hydrogen generator ) or other but they are the best, hydrogen inhalled directly in or drinking the water alot, inhalation would be best, pure cannabis vaporizing aswell, and ofc alot of other things, but the most important thing u can do it the Lourdes Hydrogen generator inhalation , actually that and the vaporizing would do alot, ofc u can also eat the cannabis oils instead but it has to be full-spectrum oil not some seperated only cbd thing, but ifs that all u can get then go for it . Inhalation of hydrogen would repair more than u can even imagine and repeating it as a daily thing u will end up totally healed or as healed as u possibly can.. @@godw1ll99 The correct thing to do is report any scam accounts doing it and spread the word to warn people of the scam.

Whenever a doctor refuses to test you could order them to write their refusal to your request in your medical file. They know that this can make them liable in case the patient is right and suffered because of their inaction. This can lead to them ordering the necessary tests anyway.

Medical gaslighting is so horrible and seems to be done more so with women than with men. I’m so glad you stood your ground and got the necessary care. All the best with your surgery and recovery

My oldest grandson has a brain tumor. He has had 3 surgeries and several rounds of radiation and chemotherapy. He was diagnosed in January of 2012 and he’s still with us today! His initial mri looked just like yours. His tumor was in the exact same place and his initial symptoms were the same as yours. Keep your faith and stay positive! God’s got you! I can totally sympathize with the difficult time you had in getting a diagnosis as my sister had a similar situation in Canada several years ago when her brain tumour went undiagnosed for quite a few months . Each time she went to her doctor (with constant bad headaches, feeling sick, watery eyes, not hungry, anemic) he would tell her she had clogged sinuses and sent her home. Most frustrating! It wasn't until she started to "black out" that her doctor finally sent her for a CT scan which revealed a huge brain tumour. Fortunately she got surgery within 2 weeks and it was benign. Her recovery was very long and slow but 6 years later, she's as normal as ever. Keep positive Eireann! And yes humour goes along way. Prayers for you.

So much love from Sweden. I was diagnosed with skin cancer 3 years back, and the part where I didn't know if it had spread or not... Finding out it hadn't was the happiest day in my life. The time in between, was tough. Can't even imagine what you are going through. Sending so much love!!

It's funny cause I have experienced and heard so many situations of med students and doctors being confidently wrong, not listening to patients, disregarding individual experience over what is more likely statistically and I see in comment sections many saying 'We're not all like that' yet it seems all the ones that arent like that are all in youtube comments lol. I was misdiagnosed for 10 years. My mum was told she doesn't have cancer, wasnt treated and died. My friend when dying was left without care and my dad had to go fetch nurses that were on their phone when he was using the emergency button/thing. This isn't towards the original comment. I just wish these people that seemed chill actually appeared in the hospitals and not just online.

I’m 30 and I was diagnosed with a rare blood cancer, went through a year of treatment and had an allogeneic stem cell transplant. I’m now cancer free. I also had a huge baby watermelon size benign tumour in my abdomen. I had surgery to remove it and my appendix. I am recovering now and my hair is starting to grow in, it used to look like yours ❤ praying for you. The medical miracles they do these days are truly magical.

What were your symptoms? I had the beginning stages of T-LGL but it never progressed.

I also have a brain tumor in the 3rd ventricle, when they found mine they gave me less than 3 months to live, this was 3 years ago and I am still doing alright. Since then they have found 2 more tumors in my spine. You are very much braver than I am, I would not be able too and even asked my doctor about having a surgery while awake and if it was necessary, but thankfully it was not. I wish you the very best of luck when it comes to this, try to keep a strong mind, it will help guide you through this. I never experienced seizures myself, but would start getting sick a couple times a month with no explanation. Your story is similar to mine, I basically took things into my hands and finally found things out. Good luck young lady!

I wish you all the very best in this battle. My wife just past the two year anniversary since her brain cancer surgery due to metastasis of melanoma (she has had 6 melanomas starting in the mid 1980s). Her tumor was in the same area as yours and she also had seizures (they didn't appear as the classic grand mal). She had a whole brain radiation and a series of infusions of Opdivo. She is cancer free now (thank God!) and is looking forward to however many years she has been given. No one knows when their number will be called so it's critical to make certain you are ready. I will pray for you - I know it's frightening, but focus on all the good and stay positive. I send you love and my promise to continue to lift you in prayer.

Can't imagine what any of these people fighting cancer are going through. They are strong individuals.

A buddy of mine from grade school 40 years ago started having severe headaches and having seizures so he finally went to the doctor when he was like 35 and started the process of figuring out what was wrong. They eventually figured out that almost all of the left side of his brain was a tumor and was swelling and putting pressure on the right side so they removed the entire left side of his brain and told his wife that he was going to have many years of therapy to recover but when he woke up he was completely normal. He has no memory loss or loss of motor skills and was even able to read and write just fine. They think that he had been living his entire life with the tumor and never had function in that side of his brain so the right side adapted or something but it is crazy to think that the body can overcome things like that. Keep your chin up and stay positive because as log as you have the will power to make it, you will.

This is terrifying. I can't imagine myself being so calm as you are in such situation. I wish you all the luck in the world.

This happened to me (the gaslighting by medical personnel/doctors) and so many other family members. I was in high school and had severe pain from bowel movements. It was not normal…. I’d call home sick because of how off I felt with my body. My mom didn’t believe right away, she thought I was just trying to get out of school. One particular day when I had enough, I called my grandmother who listened to me and had a gut feeling also (she’s been in and out of the hospital for many things) so she took me to the my doctor right away. My doc said “oh you’re just constipated” my granny was furious and said my granddaughter is suffering and pushed hard for more testing. Finally got the MRI and several other tests, turned out I had a grapefruit sized tumor attached to my appendix. Got it removed and it was benign 👍

the gaslighting is unreal, no matter where you're from. I will never get it. People have serious conditions and diseases and are being told off by doctors and treated like imbeciles while precious time is wasting away. Like, why would anyone go to a hospital to have highly unpleasant tests done if they didn't feel really ill?

Currently he is in hospital for depression treatment and we did not hear from him over a week now. He also had a referral from his physician for a brain Scan ; this only after I insisted ! My gut feeling told me . May I ask : did you have other symptoms such as extreme hair loss and loss of weight, extreme fatigue etc ? . Yes exactly, why do the doctors think we are wasting lots of time and money on medical appointments if we’re not serious. A lot of doctors are in their own world and don’t consider patients to provide any useful knowledge

My sister had a brain tumor. She worked as a loan officer at a credit union for 23 years. One day on her way home she stopped at a red light. By the time the light turned green, she could not remember which way to turn. She had driven that same route all those years and just drew a blank like you did with the crisps. All the best to you I will pray for your doctors as well as you, daily. It was actually an optometrist that diagnosed the tumor, there was pressure on the back of her eyes.

It didn't end up being a tumor, but my optometrist advised me to get checked for one for the same reason, swelling at the optic nerves. I'd been having pressure headaches for a while too but I didn't even think they could be a problem. I had to have a spinal tap to drain the fluid that runs up and down your back. Routine eye exams are no joke.

I had an optometrist think I might have a brain tumor because it looked like I had edema in my optic nerve but I apparently have drusens on my optic nerve mine are the benignish kind with the possibility of maybe causing peripheral blindness. Otherwise besides making some optometrists think I have eye pressure problems when I don’t it doesn’t really do much else.

My mom had an orange sized tumor in her brain that was benign and they removed it pretty easily. We found out she had it because she had bad migraines and lost her peripheral vision. This was in America of course so it cost $850,000 but it only took one week from the visit to the surgery and she only had to pay $80,000 because she didn’t make a lot of money and we have loan forgiveness programs. She passed away 14 years later; last year from colon cancer. Her brain tumor never came back. And I got 14 more years with my mom. ❤ I pray it’s benign for you as well!

As a Canadian, I'm sorry to hear about the challenges that you had with our health care system. It's a nightmare too for those of us who've lived in Canada all our lives. I love how every woman's symptom is associated with her period. I'm not an expert in anatomy but the last I checked the head and the uterus were at different ends of the body.

as an american i’ve been told the same thing, then had to pay $275 for it 😅🙃 i actually ended up having fluid buildup in a blocked fallopian tube. and now i have thousands in debt bc i had to go to the emergency room once it got so bad that i couldn’t stand or sleep or eat without puking. i was actually asked to my face with a ultrasound probe actively showing my insides if i was sure i wasn’t holding in my pee. smh healthcare everywhere needs a reboot smh

They cause things like sore boobs and occasional mood swings. ‘Hormones’ is not a diagnosis and does nothing to help a patient or explain their pain, and unless a patient is dealing with an actual hormone disorder then no doctor should be blaming hormones for their condition.

@@mizfeng1442 It’s not like they laughed at her and sent her home without a scan. They did all the tests she needed (which is how she found out about the tumor to begin with!) but I think the problem here is expectation. People need to stop thinking about doctors & nurses as gods who know everything. They are working TOGETHER with you to figure out what’s going on, and sometimes they need to ask silly-sounding questions to really get down to the bottom of it. And 99% of cases are not serious like a brain tumor, yet 50% of patients are paranoid and think they have something like that. So it makes sense to exercise caution. People should realize that it’s their right and DUTY to advocate for themselves, as much as it sucks. Like all things in life, healthcare is not perfect.

There needs to be a shakeup in the medical field. There are far too many stories like these of medical incompetence and dr's "assuming" instead of doing their job and investigating. They need to listen, people know their bodies and know when something isn't right. I really hope things will work out for you and it's a benign tumor 💜🙏✨

Ya know, one of the side effects of constantly bashing the medical community is less and less qualified people want to enter the field. Who wants to go into a field where they're constantly denigrated for things that a lot of times are out of their control? The bottom line: it's a conveyor belt of humanity. Day-in, day-out a never ending stream of people with varying degrees of sickness. If you think you can do better, then by all means pursue a career in it and change the world...

People are allowed to complain about being treated poorly by medical staff, and they’re also allowed to raise those concerns and hope for improved care. YOU have to be your own best advocate. You can't just offload that responsibility onto someone else and then blame/complain about them. That's on you! She, you, I all deserve the best medical care we can get, but to complain about it isn't the answer...

I’m very curious what your sources are on that, considering everyone who becomes a nurse or doctor has to literally go to school for years? and have the extensive qualifications and at least one degree? People are ALLOWED to complain, and they shouldn’t have to BEG to get adequate care. People literally die bc their doctors tell them they’re too dramatic or accuse them of lying- that’s NOT OK, point blank period. The patients are not to blame, the doctors are- it is entirely in their control to listen to a patient and address their concerns without being flippant or belittling. It’s truly pathetic that you’re willing to defend terrible doctors over patients who have been mistreated, and go as far as to blame them for the poor care they received. Sad.

But, you've decided you're right and everyone else is wrong, so congrats...a little less whining and a little more doing goes a long way!

Just for anyone in the comments in case you're worried, I have autism and epilepsy and they can cause the symptoms described in the first half of the video too. It's definitely something to check out properly in either case (don't let anyone gaslight you into thinking it's just stress, etc) but its not necessarily always as extreme as a tumour.

Well I have autism without epilepsy and losing the speech centre of my brain happens quite often. As a kid I was considered to be just very dumb. Later I was considered to be that nerdy genius whose mind is just too fast for the tounge. Both wrong, very very wrong. It just sucks. Oh, as a young adult I got my brain checked cause I was afraid of having a tumour. Not the case.

I started getting similar episodes in my mid 20s where I would get a weird sense of Deja vu, then start to feel dizzy and suddenly forget what what happening, what I was doing etc. then when it was over, forget everything that happened during the attack. Naturally I feared the worst and convinced myself I had a brain tumour (cheers google.) The first neurologist I had suuuucked. She didn't take me seriously and wrote it off as Anxiety / Depression. I started taking anti-depression medication which made me fell 100x worse and didn't stop the seizures. EVENTUALLY I was given a new Neurologist who suggested I get an MRI scan. Two MRIs later and thankfully, nothing serious was found and I was told they were absence seizures caused by epilepsy, which I continue to take medication for. I haven't had an attack in over 4 years now. So yeah, there are a lot of things it could be, so try not to worry *too* much, but DEFINITLY get it checked out and don't take no for an answer.

Exactly and the medications for many conditions can cause similar symptoms as well. From personal experience Lamictal can make my mind go completely blank and I have to completely stop and walk through what the heck I was just doing to be able to continue

My mother one afternoon had taken a nap. My son arrived to give her weekly medication day planner. He couldn't get her awake. He called me as I lived right next to her. I advised calling 911. Then she woke up and he called me back as I was getting dressed quickly. I said let them come anyway. Something went wrong as he couldn't wake her up. She was breathing good but couldn't shake her awake. The emergency room gave her a Cat scan and said she had 2 brain tumors. Then she was taken to a Cancer center that was near and they did scan and said 3 tumors. She was sent to a place that did chemo and radiation treatments two hours from our town. After they brought her out of the preparation making head gear for radiation. The doctor called us back and said she has 5 brain tumors. I was devastated.. we had the choice to have them do biopsies or just do treatment. They didn't know if she would live through brain biopsies. I chose to not have them and she died 5 months later. No regrets except I worry about my siblings and my brain.

I don’t have a brain tumor but I have MS and I was gaslit by doctors and the hospital for two and a half years before I went to a better hospital much further away. Within 2 hours of getting there I had an MRI and diagnosis. Way to go advocating for yourself! You have to because these doctors won’t. Lots of prayers from Florida, USA. 💛

I am so so sorry. i can not imagine getting news like this. My dad was diagnosed with a glioblastoma brain tumor/brain cancer in 2020 & most people only live months but he is still alive today its been 4 years this month. He was just put on hospice yesterday but only bc he is no longer doing treatments...but the glioblastoma is the most aggressive type of brain tumor so hopefully, you do not have that type of tumor... My point of telling you that is you never know..i know its easier for someone else to say bc we are not the ones going through it YOU are but keep your head up and try and stay strong...i pray to god your tumor is NOT cancer and you will be able to overcome this with treatment. If it IS in Fact Cancer, just fight as hard as you can hun. Your a beautiful strong woman you got this❤❤❤

As women we get gaslighted by medical professionals, especially if we Google our own symptoms before they Google them. It's sickening and a culture that medicine needs to get over. I saw a video recently where someone called out that the only time they listen to what a patient is saying they need is when they are already in hospice. SO TRUE! How about listening when we walk into your facility the first day? I'm so sorry they have failed you so far but glad you're finally heard and on track.

I recently went to the ER with the thought of having a brain tumor. My CT scan came out fine and although I'm positive there's something more to it I was happy for the result. This video has encouraged me to keep at it and get an MRI. I have insurance, that's what it's for and the doctors never know everything.

The tumor was already visible on the CT scan. You don't have to get an MRI if the CT scan is completely clear. The MRI gives more detailed information into the nature of the tumor, but it is worse in detecting acute brain bleeds, for example. They serve different purposes.

I'm a junior doctor in Australia. I've heard a lot of experiences like this which has always led me to be very careful not to dismiss a patient's concerns. It can be very difficult to wade through the anxieties and unrealistic wild fears and then to be smart enough not to dismiss those that are legitimate. Especially when you are tired or unwell yourself. But I always listen when my patient's insist something is wrong and I follow up with objective measures like scans. I hope everything goes well with your surgery and recovery. You are in the right hands with your neurosurgeon from what he seems to have said. I could see the tumor on your CT quite clearly I'm honestly a bit shocked the doctors said that about the calcification I agree with the nurse who commented you ought to feed your experience back to hospital administration via the feedback/complaints process. Its the only way to be fairly certain a change will be made. I understand you have more important things to focus on for now though. I'll be sending my best wishes.

Please don’t call it ‘your’ brain tumor. A few years back I was speaking to a woman about ‘my’ cancer and she said the most helpful thing to me… ‘honey don’t claim that! It doesn’t belong to you, you are not going to keep it’. I hope you understand. 💗

Hmm, a lot of us in the meningioma brain tumor world name ours. But most brain tumor surgeries aren't this fast so we have time to.

I cannot STAND when medical people invalidate what you say ("I have a brain tumor"). I believe we intuitively know some things, just like when I had a hysteroscopy I absolutely KNEW prior that I had cancer. This invalidation is so common. By the time I am watching this, your surgery is over, but I am praying that you are okay and recovering. I remember the protein drinks - I had to have them prior to my hysterectomy. I didn't care for them.

My daughter had a brain tumor dx 7 1/2 years ago. Her journey to diagnosis was similar to yours. Praying for a complete recovery. 🙏❤️🙏

I had a golf ball sized tumor melanoma millimeters from my brain stem. After a 7 hour surgery and intensive care I went back into the swing of life ... This was 4 1/2 years ago. My brain reclaimed the area taken by the tumor. i was also back in Zumba classes two weeks later. I wish you success in your treatment plan and want you to know you can fully recover! ❤🙏💕

Bless you. I went through a very similar story. My brain tumour was mis-diagnosed for 3 years. I finally got an mri just in time to find an egg sized tumour stuck to my brain stem! It was so shocking I needed an operation right there and then. The next morning I had a 9 hour procedure. Luckily it was benign but very big and pressurising and entangled with the most important part of my brain. That was 20 years ago. I did have to relearn a few things and had a 6 month recovery. Ask me anything, if you’d like. You got this.

As a future physician your story made me feel disappointed and furious about the health care system. The people that treated you were so condescending it’s unacceptable. I’m so sorry it took you so long to find a proper diagnosis 🥺❤

Please do research on shots. There is no reason to inject Mercury into our blood streams. Thermosol is mercury. My white coat didn't even know that. They listen to the drug reps. WE ARE ALL the guinea pigs UNLESS a medication has been on the market for over 10 years. White coats don't want to rx them because they don't get the kick backs from the drug reps. I have white coat friends. Trust me...I am schooling them too.

Unfortunately that’s kind of common in medical professionals. I had a pinched artery in my chest that took awhile to find and I had like 8 different doctors over the course of 10 months tell me I was just a hypochondriac. It seems a lot of doctors will just default to “the patient must be crazy” when they don’t have the expertise or training to figure something out.

That’s great, but unfortunately, woman, especially if they have ever had depression or anxiety, get labeled, instead of proper testing, and conditions go unchecked until for some….too-late!

I’m so sorry to hear this. I’ll say a prayer for you and your family. I hope this (5 months after the video) finds you snd yours healthy and happy.

This is an issue with our medical system. They are desperate for Drs and i swear the med students are being pushed through too fast and not trained enough or if at all.

Did you ever have nausea or problems with balance? How about swallowing? I do remember the news of the hospital computer getting hacked!

The doctor told my cousin it was “just nerves”…..she was having difficulty swallowing and had just had a baby. So she waited…..suffering through the symptoms. She went several times only to be brushed off. This was in US. Because they brushed her off her tumor continued to spread and grow. When she finally couldn’t swallow they did some sort of test to discover her cancer too late. I’m so glad you got the scans you needed and praying yours is not cancer.

god that pisses me off so much. we pay SO much for health insurance and somehow manage to be treated like this. why are certain doctors even in the field anymore? if they want a laid back easy day at work, a doctor certainly is not the career path for them… i get doctors have so much stress and deal with many patients being paranoid about minor things, but if the patient wants to be tested for something i believe there should be no questions asked. its their HEALTH they are coming to you for- their LIFE, not car dealership. so tired of hearing stories like this. makes me not even want to go to the doctor.

This is Phil from USA. I just had a surgery on my right temporal lobes. They took out a big piece of my brain like 3X of a golf ball. I am still in pain but doing OK. I have some mood swing, headache, some communication issues and low vision. You will be fine for sure. Please ask your doctor for a functional MRI so the doctor would know in advance what would happen to you after they take out the tumor. Functional MRI is very critical to brain surgery. You're so brave. The typical "oh you're so young you won't have abc" is so common and frustrating.

Had an abscess on my brainstem about 2,2*1,2 cm. Wrecked my whole left side, vision, balance, hearing, well everything. Had to learn to walk, point, eat, everything new again. Have gone 18 months, still fighting with it every day. Not really what I guessed I would be doing at 36yrs old, but hey, can't just give up. I hope you will have a speedy and good recovery! Yes, the unknowns are the hardest part. I'm being treated for stage 4 esophageal cancer so I understand to a degree. You're very strong and brave I can tell. We found out in September that my 33 year old fiance had 2 brain tumors and 2 craniotomys. It's been a scary journey but he has made a lot of improvements. Good luck!❤❤❤❤

I had a tumor in my left temporal lobe when I was 9 ! I am 42 now. People prayed over me before the surgery and from then on I knew I was good. Long story short my surgeon admitted that whoever it was I prayed to it worked. He said it was something but it was nothing. He sent the mass to the lab and they asked him why they sent a perfectly good tissue. They canceled chemo and I was walking the beach in San Francisco a few days later. I saw double for a while, and was on ant-seizure medications, no seizures or anything ever since. Originally the dr said there was a 50/50 chance of me being a vegetable, but praise God I am well! I pray for Gods hand to on you and your doctors 💜

Such a lot even expert tumor specialists admit not knowing about the subject. Even bigger tragedy is that thousands of people are walking around with developing brain tutors with symptom free (that is until it is too late for many).

I'm so sorry to hear this. I'm praying for you always.

Oh pretty girl. We found out about my daughter’s brain cancer the same way because of the type of seizures she was having we did not know at first. She was 19 at that time. Then a few days later I saw it myself and I knew instantly. She had an Astrocytoma in her frontal lobe. I hope nothing but the best for your journey with this.

I hate Astrocytoma, because it can later in some cases develop into Glioblastoma

My 12 year old daughter had a brain tumour on her brain stem. Everyone thought she just had migrain issues as they run in my family.No one believed her for months that she was sick. I had to have a screaming fit to get my family including my husband to get her to the doctor. It was very bad.The nurse was expecting her to be wheeled in on a gurnney not walking into the ICU. They found the tumour and she had her operation within 48 hours. She was in hospital for 3 weeks. She is OK now and married with 2 kids. My prayers are with you. Be brave. That intern will cringe and remember it for the rest of his life. Big Hugs sugar. Let us know how you are getting on when you can.

I hope that medical student learned a good lesson to never underestimate or dismiss when someone says they know something is seriously wrong. No one knows your body better than you and I'm so glad the Doc finally decided on a CT I mean seriously I'm not a Doctor but I would have been alarmed and red flags would have gone up the moment I heard all your symptoms. I hope your surgery goes well and that you get all the care and support you need during your recovery. We are here for you and sending much love and healing.

Your video came up as one to watch. I am so sry about your health. My son was dx with medulloblastoma ( brain cancer) He had no typical symptoms, no headache, no seizures. He only got dizzy when he did a shot playing basketball. He was on a league. He was dx with many other things. I kept asking, begging for an MRI for him. One doctor even yelled at me that he doesn't need an MRI. I was going to Nursing school at the time. Once he finally got the MRI,we were told it's just a brain tumor. Surgery and back to school. He had brain surgery and pathology came back as brain cancer. We were treated horribly. I fought for his rights. He had 2.5 years of radiation and chemotherapy. He got very sick. Happy to say he beat the beast and he is a Nurse now. My prayers are with you.
