    I agree with your brother about these changes. I hope they won't keep doing those pedestrian-unfriendly commercial zones. They're so ugly. It reminds me of what I left behind in the US, which is endless amounts of that kind of stuff.

    I remember spring in France very well. The glorious sunny days. I like the daily vlog idea as it shows your daily life, from change of plans to what is happening, remodeling your home. You and Nick, Billy, and his family. I also watch Seans channel as well. They all remind me of my 2 years there inthe U S Army, married to a French Damsel, visiting her extended family. Oh yes, the memories. Thank you and thanks to the other channels for all you do.😊

    Always interesting to know how people live in other countries. The rental market in Australia is also very competitive and rent is expensive. Country town house prices are skyrocketing as people come from the city to live the country lifestyle and housing is scarce.     I absolutely agree with your brother Ryan re our country’s changing and not for the better. And this is no accident.. America is a mess too. I suspect there are many people in “Witness Protection” these days, so thank you sir for your contribution towards freedom. “Development” at the expense of ugly is not a good trade off.     It can be difficult to find rentals here in the U.S. too. Most places require three times the rent in income here also. I suspect the list of requirements increased after COVID.

    I have a 2011 Hyundai Elantra Touring and it fits more stuff in it than my friend’s new truck. Love being able to help family as well. Nothing is more Important than family. Good for you for dropping everything to come to the aid of your family.

    Really cool, Ryan. Interesting to learn more about cost of living in France. And basically to be able to compare to other European countries. Still France is cheaper to live in than the Netherlands when it comes to renting a house. Good also to point out the importance of sustainable heating and building. Retaining cultural heritage but upgrading it to modern standard is the way to keep it for decades to come! ❤

    You've got a big bro! You're a second son!😮 Hard to find houses to rent in New Zealand too. Two bedroom concrete block 1970s construction, wood frame singled glazed windows, shared driveway, very small exclusive use outdoor space, just listed $500 NZ per week, no pets.

    As a lifelong carpenter, (retired) I agree about the new architecture. When I. M. Pei designed the glass pyramid in front of the Louvre, the new area beyond the Eifel Tower, I thought what is happening to that beautyful city? Thankfully, they will keep Notre Dame original architecture style while utilizing safety and structural modern materials. Also, when i was stationed there in mid 60s, there was a new style home....Isle de France, I think, with the garage and utilities under the rez de chaussure, which saved more land for yards, as opposed to the old farm longere style. 80 y/o now, trying to remember correctly. Loved the "chat" with your big brother.
