From wikipedia:
I Hate Myself was an emotive hardcore (or "emo") band formed by Jon and Jim Marburger, in 1996 in Gainesville, Florida. I Hate Myself were poking fun at emo/screamo bands' tendency to favor drawn-out and often nonsensical song titles that usually do not reflect any themes or lyrics within the song. Liner notes to albums were extremely minimal and sometimes filled with self-deprecation from the band. After a string of vinyl-only releases in the mid to late 1990s, the band split up. Soon afterwards the band finally agreed to their first CD release, a collection of their full length Ten Songs LP with one extra track, their contribution to a split 7" with Strikeforce Diablo. The Marburger brothers went on to form Burnman, expanding on the louder side of I Hate Myself's sound. That band dissolved soon after releasing their debut LP, and drummer Jon Marburger joined fellow No Idea artists Gunmoll. The band reunited for two shows on one night in Gainesville in 2003. They requested any audio or video footage be sent to them, fueling fans to wonder if a live release might see the light of day. No plans for such a release have been announced. In 2005, the Marburgers recorded three new I Hate Myself tracks for a one-sided LP release. Bass was overdubbed by Jon Marburger in lieu of reuniting with the original bassist or finding a replacement. Currently, the two brothers are playing together again in Die Hoffnung, who released their first album in 2006, once again on No Idea. A 15-song CD, collecting all the remaining tracks not found on the Ten Songs CD release, has been planned since early 2005, but has not yet materialized. The band got their name from going through and experiencing depression.

@@NomadicFightingClub emocore* screamo is a misnomer developed by boomers. not only that, but the term is linked to skramz, not emocore.
shit, fuck, man the only live footage of these guys. At least this exists.

I would've LOVED to see them live! Some of my favorite music. They had much more longevity than they took advantage of. They could still be making awesome music right now. More stuff like "Ten Songs", one of my favorite albums ever written. Definitely in my top ten favorite bands list.
shoutout to the one girl whos actually feeling it

My god. The scenes never changed! They all just stand with the few who kind of move their body. Just like the scenes today.

These guys were so good. I love the whole crew. Strikeforce Diablo, Twelve Hour Turn, etc. If I had a time machine I'd go back to 1997.
Piel de gallina total! Que lindo que suenan! !! Siento una nostalgia terrible
wonderful thanks
I wish they played Caught in a Flood... oh well. Thank you for the upload!
HOLYYYY SHT, THEY SOUND AMAZING LIVE
@CampHorsewater Yeah, I don't think they did much touring. I am amazed that they held up this long as there are many other groups prior to them that did it much better- but for what its worth, glad you like the video!

I'm a little bit confused. I have there last vinyl from pung which was released in '97. Was Burnman made after I Hate Myself or before?
