So agree with you! My husband’s stepmother doesn’t like me, and when she took it to the level of being verbally abusive towards me he cut her out of our lives. It’s just a no brainer.

I agree. I never had grand parents and wanted my kids to have some. My mom, is like this, MIL Undermined my relationship with my kids. Told lies about me to her friends. I 'Lost' my only daughter to her. She said things like, "Your mom doesn't love you". While spending, a lot of money on her. I didn't know, this would happen. DON'T LET THIS MIL near kids!
That mom is toxic, and if she doesn’t change they have no choice but to cut her out and keep her out. She is too wrapped up in her own self pity and victim mentality, and she will lose every single time. She’s the only one on that stage who’s a selfish, entitled brat. Life is short, and hers is shorter by the day because of her age. If she continues to exude hatred, she doesn’t deserve to see her son or her grandchildren. So sad and sooo unnecessary.

Wow, mine was nicer than my own mom! My mom was jealous of me. I never knew that was possible. I was HALF...HER. It is a sickness. Some kind of jealous GENE. Same with her sisters.

No, Dr. Phil - that evil woman does in fact hate her DIL. Don't make excuses for her reprehensible behavior. Her long eye blinks during questioning is a clear indication that she lies and lies and lies. This young family needs to cut ties with that evil witch and not look back. She will only continue to sabotage until relationships are ruined beyond repair.
It’s usually the same scenario- no husband, empty nester. Wimpy son, bully Mom. You can see how her personality is. The fact that she did that to Sons business reputation is absolutely disgusting, unforgivable. He is less than a man for allowing this abuse.

It's simple. The mother in law is jealous. The daughter in law represents everything she's not and the son has chosen the opposite of who she is and it makes her feel and recognize that she is no longer his highest example of a woman.

My daughters wound up with this same kind of mother-in-law. After a few years, they each said, "You have a relationship with your Mom and the kids should have a grandma....... but count me out."
My mother didn’t like my husband just because he didn’t cater to her. I told her I felt disloyal having anything to do with her. We didn’t talk for over 5 years but when she was hurt in an accident I went to see her. He never said a word. He was ok with me seeing her, she on the other hand never accepted him. I had no love for her when she died.

I feel so blessed by my dear mother in law, Ginger.
Watching these hateful mother-in-laws makes me really appreciate my in-laws. They loved me and I loved them.

Yes!!! I followed his advice about making amends with parents for years and years and year after year I was humiliated, screamed at, insulted and disrespected. Nothing I gave or put in was reciprocated. Where did I end up? In a psychiatric facility. As a single mom I was so sick I had to leave my kids at home. What did she do when she thought she’d won and finally broke me? BLOCKED me the first day I was their. My sister who I was so desperate to love me and always in my business, left me and ignored me and called me useless. Never ever ever ever will I allow these people in my life. I refuse to call her mom ( even as an adult I still called her mommy) and told her I won’t even see her on her death bed. I think that advice is dangerous and sucks

Since he and his wife (Robin who have two sons Jay and Jordan who he never mentions 😁) became grandparents he has lost all sensible thinking on the subject.
I cannot imagine growing up with a mother like this. The son needs therapy so he can learn to be his own man. She was one of the most vile people on this show.
wow, that’s sad to be so jealous of your own son. My son moved out of state with a girl and I lost contact with him for a few months. It was the most painful time of my life. So if you want to be alone for the rest of your life, keep pushing your son, he’s not going to choose you

I love my daughter in law. I respect that she is the woman my son loves and the mother of my beautiful grandchildren. My son is an only child and I am blessed to have such a wonderful partner for my son and now I have a daughter too. ❤😊 I had in laws like this. I went to an unlisted phone number, changes the locks, and stopped going to their family functions. I did not interfere with my ex husband or son’s ability to talk to or see them. They simply used his cell phone and saw them away from my home. It worked.

She reminds me SO much of my MIL. This tactic never works. My husband cut her out of our life and all has been well since.

I tried to keep it together but mother in law was relentless. I would love to have had a better relationship. It never happened! Just go, at least that way she can't force every occasion into her agenda.

I think that the mom is actually jealous of the daughter in law. I think she (DIL) has the things she (mom) always wanted and thinks she deserves. It seems like she believes the DIL didn’t have to work for it and doesn’t deserve it. Mom is a right-fighter and blames the DIL or the rift, not realizing what she is contributing to this all.

I bet this woman is like this with everybody. When she goes shopping, to the people she knows, to friends, to family, and business dealings, this is who she is.
This mother is a snop. To destroy her son's business is cruel and terrible for a mother to do this.
I am very sorry to say that I don't believe the mother in law is capable of acting reasonable to the wife and son, too much damage done.
The biggest issue, l believe, is that the mother is extremely jealous! The mother was used to having her son to herself. His young wife now has most of his attention and affection. Along comes a baby and the jealousy is exacerbated. The mother had underhandedly criticized her son’s workmanship. This is really indicative of intense jealousy and resentment. I truly hope things have changed for this family.
Something went wrong with her childhood there had to be some level of trauma for this kind of behavior
