My cousin did it 8 years ago. REN can bring me to tears normally but DAMN boy!! He leaves me in puddles. This world needs more people like him in it, his love for humanity, music that people can connect to over profits. Just the love and sincerity ooze out of him. I'm the mother of 2 millennials and to be quite honest i lost hope for the future than you come across someone like him and there's a light that shines. Right now I'm at my lowest in a long time. I've been dead for 5 minutes, a miracle i have brain function. I get pissed that i woke up everyday. I have to fight a downhill battle everyday. Some people will just say fucking just stop it, snap out of it. Yaz it doesn't work that way. I'm 54 years old and this has been my like a long as i can remember. Cutting words into my arm, very bad worrds. Doing dishes, washing knives is hard but it's been 2 years almost since I've cut. I listen to his music and it truly brings me out of it. With Joe, like with my cousin, i see and hear what it does to people so i fight and i find at least 1 positive reason to be here everyday and i day SHINE ON YOU CRAZY DIAMOND everyday before my feet hit the floor( yes Floyd fan) if you read this and see like a mirror, please don't hesitate to message me. A battle can't have too many warriors. If you just need a stranger to vent to, I'll listen. DO NOT STAY SILENT because you think nobody would understand or care. There are so many of us out here who care. Just because we don't know each other means nothing. Thanks for letting me vent. All my love to you all❤

I just found this comment. Hey. We may should join the discord. I want nothing more than to speak on it in overly extreme detail. I have a memory of the extremes and DID. Crazy combo. I'm hyper aware, a whole new level of introspection. Of multiple selves. Multiple perspectives. Some filled with more contempt for humans, and another's hyper empathetic, I have access to a unique preview of the world, it's not a broken Personality it's a splintered Identity. Evidently if precieved properly it's the ultimate coping mechanism. I have tools, some far more dangerous than others. But communication can feel impossible at times for I am also on the spectrum. And Idk why I've said this much

My mom died by suicide 18 years ago. His line "I still can't find the anger, all I find is missing you" gets me every time. I've not, for a single second, been mad at her. I just wish I could hear her laugh again. To see her smile. To hug her extra tight and tell her I love her. The space between periods of pain gets longer as time goes on, but sometimes I still feel like that kid crying alone in a bedroom. These last two songs have taken me back there, and it's been hard, but it feels good to remember and cry.

I, have also never been angry with them and think of how strong and courageous they were to fight the battle of depression, in silence. Unfortunately, they lost their battle, but their memories will "burn on" forever. Ren, is such a brilliant and profound artist. The conviction and the way he portrays emotion through his lyrics is on a whole different level. I love how he has brought so many people together. His talent is undeniable. Much love to you. 🫂 ❤

This is beautiful. I've such admiration for the courage it must have taken to share such a personal song with so many people. My best friend asked me to sing at his funeral. I wrote a song & sang it for him. It was one of the most difficult things I've ever done & it was only in front of 150 people. I can't imagine how difficult it was to perform this live for the whole world to see. Derek Mark Chapman died from Oesophageal Cancer in 2019. Diagnosed in October '18 & gone on 27th Jan '19. It was such a shock, relentlessly, devastatingly fast. I sat with him those last days & was by his side when he slipped away. He was my rock; always there for me, and my kids, with a smile & a hug, or a push in the right direction whenever I faltered. Life just isn't the same without you. Miss you everyday & you're always in my thoughts. All my love. Absolutely beautiful tribute to your friend Ren! The love & admiration you obviously felt for him can be felt in every note, phrase & lyric. Thank you Cliff. It's always a pleasure to watch your reactions. I'd really like to reach out, but I don't have Instagram or Discord. I really appreciate what you're doing with your channel for those of us who are struggling. Much love xx.

born 1970... I´m addicted to art, books, music, paintings. I never stumbled over an artist, that had the courage, to expose this intens and IMPORTAND feelings like REN does!.from birth, my emotional mindset is far more intense than the average people. It took me to the age of 30+ and several therapies to learn, that I feel emotions, that are not mine. , as to speak with REN´s words, Its not you that´s sick, it´s the world that´s sick. Just like him, therapist didn´t understand my problems. but how could´ey. now I´m mostly fine. like mostly fine weather. learned some copin skills... ;-) :) sorry for my bad german ;-) the world needed REN and REN needs the world (s attention)

Ren legit understands sounds as shapes. Too much to breakdown, you can hear him recount his understanding of a panatonic scale in his justin hawkins interview. His song diazepam writes it out clear as day. His musical influences melted into his entire persona. His sense of self if you will. His facial expressions matter. Hyper awareness and a memory of the extremes. I suffer similarly. But here latley its been a captavating experience. Not so much suffering as acknowledging this is still a life worth living. Even with the pain i havent experienced yet, let alone the torture i experience on a daily basis. Its accepted as much as i accept my willing existence. Freckled angles and the sick boi have helped me more than i would ever even tell him in person. Hes a total introvert. Leave ren, a point in his direction, and an audible i love you until this time 2024. Dead ass serious. Hes not the mega star em is. He cant handle the extra attention about your own mortailty rate at your own hand. Think if everyone told you, they wanted to off themselves all day for one day. IN THE SAME STATE OF MIND!! Rens not on that level physically yet his body has been RAVISHED with illness. I seriously cant wait for the future though. Theres something in the making. Most of his next album is already written.

Looks like he is in Calgary in this video, such a powerful song. Loss is so much harder to deal with when the reason the person is gone doesn't make sense to you. Sorry for your loss ren

As many great things as we could all say about REN the best thing to me is how raw he is and the last couple of songs has been pure emotion and there is very little artists that have the courage to express their most painful emotions and I love Ren for that, because millions of people can relate in one way or the other!

I’ve learned in just a few days that I need prep myself to listen to Ren to fully immerse myself in his music and I’m so glad you are reacting to his music because I love your knowledge of music and constantly learn from you, the last year of my life musically is so different from what I had been listening to most of my life. I’m drawn to artists that are authentic (I’ve just started to listen to Ren but I imagine I will continue to listen to him) like Upchurch, Tom, Nova, etc.I desperately need music to get through the next few days. My mom unexpectedly passed dec 2022, she always hosted a HUGE patriotic party at our place and tonight we are realizing all of the things we’ve overlooked in our plans to keep the tradition going. I didn’t want to do the party anymore, everyone else did so we are. I’m glad now that we are because I haven’t seen some of my family for 6 months. I’m anxious, I tend to be more anti social, it’s hot and humid which affected my chronic illnesses, I’m horribly stressed over a relative, etc so I REALLY need some music in my life tonight sad or happy. Headstone was placed today, going to see it later. Might need a sleeping pill tonight

If you watch the Knox interview Ren intellectually and logically knows there wasn’t anything he could have done that night but emotionally is another thing… the empty cup. But notice there s a bottle of light (lights) to fill the empty cup.
