Kyle and Shanon, continue to raise your animals the way "you" want to raise them. I am an old lady that totally enjoys watching you two learn new things. You two are a total joy to watch, anyone should be able to see how much you love and care for each of your animals (and each other).Thank you for posting your wonderful videos 👍☺️. Saying a prayer for Grandma Doss🙏

@@bunnyjames3828 I am certain this will be removed as soon as I hit the button. I left a reply last night, a thoughtful, concerned reply about the dogs and why we are only trying to help, not haters, negative, "b.....s" etc. I am afraid Kyle would get hurt by Herc if he put Herc on the ground. When you can't brush your dog because it wants to bite, there is a serious problem.

About 3 months ago, I rescued a beautiful puppy. Today, I inquired about another puppy at the shelter. I asked a few questions about the other puppy. During the conversation, the person working stated, "You know your dog better than anyone." In saying that, only you two know your dogs. You will make the best decision for them. I greatly appreciated the respect I was given by her in acknowledging my position. I pray the best results in all that you do. God bless.

You are correct 💯 cause I have talked to dogs like I would people and they understand a lot more than people do almost all of the time. The owners only know the animals more than strangers do. Training them is just one step at a time they are doing great to train them. Also I learn from Shannon and Kyle. (Sorry if I misspelled your names wrong). I want to thank you for helping me with my dog.

SHANNON: Jason at Cog Hill , when he was at the old farm, had his garden enclosed in a 4 foot fence but had some animals, from birds to deer, that got in it. The best way he found to prevent this was to put some posts in that were 6 foot tall and strung swags of prayer flags all the way around the garden from the top of those posts. He ordered them from Amazon and he said they were fairly cheap and everyone loved the way they looked. If you are interested go to Cog Hill Farm and watch some of the old videos from the original Cog Hill. Will save you money instead of building a taller fence. Love ❤️

Urushiol, the oily substance on th poison ivy plant can be easily removed from the skin with soap and water to all the exposed areas. The rash is type of contact dermatitis. Bleach like Clorox is actually a caustic base chemical which in itself can cause skin irritation and even chemical burns. I would not recommend wiping the skin with bleach. Chlorox disinfecting wipes as well. They actually do not contain bleach either. They have some other potent chemicals used in those wipes though. Enough to give skin irritation as well. It states right on the back of the wipes container NOT for human and animal use and to wash your hands with soap and water after using the wipes!. I worked for an industrial cleaning company. We wore gloves just for these very reasons of not having skin contact with harsh chemicals

I really enjoyed this video about LGD dogs. I have two and have introduced a puppy into their lives also. Also my dogs are my body guards at night and stay inside with me. They guard their goats during the day when I am at work. The goats have a secure barn and yard they stay in at night. Yes, they are LGD but they are what you make them, and showing them love fills a space in their heart. They have managed to survive such awful treatment as kind words, pets and good loving whenever they like. And I so appreciate your loving kindness to all your animals, the wonderful shelters, and beautiful space to grow and thrive in. That is the most important part of all.

We have a Chinese Crested Hairless. We have tried training her. She gets along with our chickens as long as they don't sqack. We have tried leave it and come no luck. She will sit for a treat or food...... I told a professional dog trainer about her, she asked the breed to which she laughed and said good luck. Upon doing some research they are loving dogs that are good companions because they thing they do best is sleep and want to be petted and scratched. They do like car rides and that is about it. I think you are doing a great job with your animals. You love your babies and they respect and love ❤️ you. I pray your moms doctors visit went well. Love you kids. Keep doing what you are doing and ignore all the negative Nancy's. ❤❤❤❤

I think you two are doing exactly what you need with training your dogs they belong to you and you do what is needed for your pets. My grandson has a pit lab mix she is a beautiful friendly dog she is strong enough to knock me down so I have to be careful around her but she is a lover she gives me wet kisses across my cheek I love her.

I am so glad that you handled Mr Spruces' teenage like challenge. He is a young male who is flexing his male muscles and misguided urges. He is confused, no junk in his trunk, but that doesn't mean all male urges are gone. He just figured that if he could knock you out of the top alpha one spot, then he would be in charge. Well, it didn't work, and you notched him back down with love and kindness. Absolutely amazing. But always keep in mind that you have 6 more young bucklings coming up behind Spruce. I love watching the videos that you guys make.

I really enjoy watching the goat train when you open the gate to let them out to graze! What a great group! Sorry to hear Spruce got a bit rough with you. I've used that technique previously with my female Labrador. It helps to establish dominance in a way they understand and remember. Only had to do it once. She wasn't hurt and she learned to respect my lead. Best wishes from northern Illinois!

Kyle and Shannon you guys are doing a great job. All the goats, puppy and projects, I personally commend the both of you. Shannon I can't wait to see the garden, that is my favorite thing to do. People need to remember Hercules is an LGD it's not like if you get another dog and they live in the house. Hercules is doing his job!!!! Kyle watch petting the goats remember that's how Chad kept getting poison ivy last year.💯❤️🥀🌞

Kyle you are so good at reading the dogs. It is this ability that gives you the ability to say good boy at just the right moment. I video you don't see the moment the dog becomes calm and relaxed but you see it and that was what you praised. This is why you are successfully training. ❤❤❤

Shanon: You might want to consider making the garden area a high tunnel type so in the winter you can still grow things and uncover it in spring. Hope this helps. 💖💖🙏🙏👍👍🙏🙏💖💖 Kyle: You broke that soapbox 😄😄👍👍😋😋, your doing great son keep up the good work. 💖💖🙏🙏💖💖

Hi Kyle & Shanon I enjoy watching your videos. You have to weigh your own personalities, the dogs, the goats, the guineas, the land…. All the things. You learn as you go. We all do. At our place… we just do better this year than last. No one else measures what better is but us. I love the garden project! Bright Blessings (and less keyboard warriors) ❤️ ~Linda

@@bunnyjames3828 I am not a "b.......", troll, keyboard warrior, negative, rude, or whatever they want to call me and the other people who left advice last week. That is what I saw, people who have years of experience and knowledge with dogs trying to help them understand what they were/are doing wrong. It is because we have seen dogs with behavioral problems, have had dogs ourselves with behavioral problems that we try to give the advice. Don't use the LGD excuse, they are dogs, yes, they were bred for specific purposes, but canine behavior is the same. And if you get a substantial amount of comments from people mostly on the same page then maybe you could stop and think, we might want to do this differently. As a dog person I was thrilled to see the response, I was beginning to feel like the Lone Ranger because I have left advice in regard to the dogs many times. And some were removed. I have no doubt they love and give the best care of their animals. But some things are hard to watch, knowing what the outcome could be. How many dogs that are showered with love and affection bite their owners? I am not apologizing for any comments/replies I made in the last video, or in the past. I only want people to have a wonderful bond with their dogs as I did with mine. And as I said before if they don't want to believe me or others, please seek advice from a reputable dog behaviorist/trainer. It is not with hate or malice that we leave comments, but because we love dogs.
