Us here in Philly have been nothing short of honored and blessed to have Jason Kelce play for our team, for our city as well as fanbase. He will forever be our BIG BROTHER in this entire city of BROTHERLY LOVE (and surrounding suburbs) I’d like to say he definitely brought our city closer together than ever with his DYNOMIIIITE energy! I have learned to be a more humble woman and not take things so seriously because of this man. I feel like he is a part of my family now, I have been following him for all 13 seasons. He became my favorite 10 years ago, and he will be a legend and my favorite forever. And I don’t care what he says, and how he feels, he is not underrated he is extremely AMAZING AND IS THE BEST CENTER IN THE NFL! God bless Jason, his beautiful, daughters, his beautiful and lovely wife, and his unbelievably loving parents and extremely electric and loving and talented brother, Killa Trav! Congratulations on your retirement Jason and I hope to watch your kids grow because they are the absolute cutest and most respectful kids ever. Kudos to you and Kylie for being such incredible parents. I would love to see Jason , Kylie, and The littles tv show!! Respect and love to you all!! Oh and JASON KELCE #62 NEEDS A FKN STATUE!!!!! LEGEND

I feel ya Kylie. When I was in my early 20s, I tried skiing for the first time. The fact that me and my friend kept going backwards while trying just to stand while getting some instructions was definitely a sign I shouldn’t be skiing. Well coming near the bottoms of the mountain, this young ski instructor is screaming at me to wedge and I scream back that I am but it’s not working! I literally skied over some man’s ski while he stood at the bottom, the kid (instructor) grabs my jacket trying to stop me to no avail and we both crash into the ski lodge wall. He was soooo mad at me! He yelled”Stand right here and don’t move! Skiing is not for you!” I was mortified but laughing hysterically which pissed him off more. Proud to say 20 years later I tried it again, this time without poles and amazingly did fine…no problem getting off the ski lift and never fell. My friend who used to do ski patrol skied backwards facing me as we came down the mountain. He was shocked when I said I didn’t want to continue skiing, he was like WHAT! YOU DID GREAT! I was terrified the whole time and agreed with that kid from 20 years ago that skiing is not for me. I preferred hanging out in the warm ski lodge watching the other people ski. At 59, I just did snow tubing for the first time and that was super fun and did that for about two hours.

So cute! The first time I took my daughter skiing and she decided to try snowboarding instead of skis. After an hour of snowboarding lessons, she decided she wanted to come up the “big hill” with me and so we got up on that ski lift and I think I went down past her maybe seven or eight times, before she got to the bottom. I was so proud of her for trying! Now, 25 years later, her partner is an instructor and she is happily snowboarding down mountains!

I love all of you so much, and that includes you, Kylie. As a human being, I too aspire to live my best, authentic life, and you all do that so naturally. I listened to Jason's retirement speech yesterday and was so inspired and grateful. I cried too, to hear you speak with such humility, love, devotion, and strength - yes, Strength! I am a lifelong football fan, both collegiate, (Go Blue!), and professional, so I truly appreciate all you have done and given to the sport and all of the football fans. Your podcast has been an unadulterated pleasure for me. I love what an incredibly dedicated husband and father you are. As a retired child and family therapist, I also want to tell you and Travis both, what an incredible gift you are as you redefine what it means to be a strong, successful, man. It takes a lot more strength to show your emotions when they are so deeply felt, than to stoically present as "too much of a man" to show that you are human. After 30+ years of working with delinquent teenage boys, abused children and their families, and other children and families in crisis, I can tell you right now, that the 45 minutes of that speech did more to dispel the erroneous, foolish, and dangerous concepts of what it means to be a man that have disrupted, damaged, and destroyed so many lives and families, than most if not all of the therapy sessions and therapists words on the subject, including mine. Thank you for this gift, the awesome gift of just being who you are!

My first time skiing was as a single college student. After floundering on the bunny slope by myself, my friends found me and convinced me to go up the hill. At the top, a cute coed smiled and said, Just follow me. Now that’s some incentive I can chase. Worked like a charm.

I was in jeans, mistake one, I didn't know how to stop mistake 2 or turn mistake 3. I ended up running over a streacher that the ski patrol was setting up for a injured skier but didn't crash. I finally just laid down sideways and finally came to a stop. I got better in the future but never good.

Hmmm....Been skiing for many yrs, my butt has no problem hitting the ground when i fall straight back...Bout 33 times sometimes if im going fast enough which is usually the case...Moral of the story is a person that skies , learns real fast not to fall....PERIOD...Makes for a much better day....Also, you should learn to ski on the bunny slopes where there is no edge of the mountain...Maybe even invest in some lessons...I never did but i fell in love with the gig so that was incentive enough to learn...Plus living within a couple hour drive of Lake Tahoe made it readily accessible....Place ya'll should visit sometime....

Hi Kylie, I was just now able to view this segment of the podcast about your first ski trip. I can truly relate! I was with a group of skiers that totally snowballed me into thinking I could do this. Same experience with an employee telling me 'you shouldn't be here' . Okay, I said to my competitive spirit, I will prove them wrong! After all I had been water skiing for years, no problem, right? Wrong....I could barely make it to the ski lift. Most of the folks around me, not my friends, were telling me to try the bunny hills first...my "friends" were saying NO, you'll be able to pick it up befoe the end of my first trip down the hill, I mean mountain. I fell getting off the lift at the top, bad omen I said to myself. I looked around and all. I REPEAT, ALL OF MY FRIENDS WERE GONE. So i slowly began my descent down the hill....which from where I was standing looked more like a mountain now. After falling about 50 times in the first 100 yards, with all the little kids flying around me (without even using polls) and being taunted by the children, I realized that these little monsters were using me as a game - they actuality called out to other children to come join in the fun scarring the old lady (at the time I was 21), by seeing who could go around me the fastest, and who could spray the most snow on me. These little darlings would then race to the bottom, ride the ski lift back up, and then buzz me again. I saw my life go before my eyes when I thought I might do better in the trees. Big mistake! Finally, the only way I knew I was going to make it to the bottom was for me to get on my stomach, holding the polls above my head, and bending my knees with the skies pointing to the sky, I looked like a scorpion, was I going to make it to the bottom. Upon arrival at the bottom, my now drunk, and skied out friends (3 &/or 5 runs) were laughing their arses off at me. I had been on the ski run all dang day. The first person that finally came to me was my boyfriend....I punched him in the stomach as hard as I could, then when my best friend came to me doubling over in laughter, I promptly slapped her across her face! Please note, I am NOT a violent person! I promptly removed my gear, dropping everything at their feet, and walked directly to the car. When we reached the cabin where we were staying the snow drifts were so high they all had to push &/or pull me over it as I could barely walk by this time, every muscle in my body was totally wiped out. When we got in, I crawled to the one and only bathroom, locked the door, and filled the bathtub with hot water, that I stayed in for a very long time. I then pulled the plug, and then turned on the hot water and filled it again....Joke was on them....I used every drop of hot water the poor water heater could deliver. They took cold showers! I returned home to my flat land state of Kansas, and never attempted to ski again. My winter trips to the 'mountain' states now are filled with snowmobile rides, and I love it! So while family take to the slopes, I hit the trails. Kylie, I would take you snowmobiling any time! As I watched you retelling your story, while Travie was laughing his arse off, I was not laughing...I was commiserating with you Kylie. When I look back on it now though, I chuckle about it, as I am sure you do too. I have been a Chiefs fan my entire life, one of the faithful 92%. Best of luck to you and your lovely family as you begin the next chapter of your life. God Bless, PamMcC. BTW - this all played out for me in 1978

Kylie you are so lucky that ‘the group’ that took you up the mountain were able to get you down safely. I learned to ski when I was nine years old and definitely know that beginners stay on the beginner type slope and don’t go up to the top of the mountain until they’ve had lessons successfully. Once my ten month older brother took a friend of his to the top, ignoring his own beginner experience, and upon getting off the chair lift, the guy fell off his legs like a chicken breaking both legs. Mountains have sides and off slope runs that’ll launch you into your worst day. People die from too much speed, off balance careening out of control. Rules of the ski area: you must remain in control of yourself.

Drove all night in a van to CO, arrive and condo was not ready, go straight to ski shop, then straight to first ski lesson, then meet up with everyone and they all tell me we are going on a green slope. It turns out to be a BLUE slope and "pizza" is not slowing me down at all, I fall, I cry, I see drop offs very close like Kylie saw. It was not the first impression I wanted to make. Finally my now hubby says to get behind him with my skis between his, and hold on to his waist with my eyes closed and just move and lean as he does and we finally make it down after a few falls. I literally thought I was going to die. Never again I said and I have kept that promise!!

Take her to Winter Park in Colorado. It has many green/easy trails. It is family friendly, too.
