I've done everything but the Overseer on Gamma already this way so I knew it was possible, especially since I only had primitive saddles for the Spider and Monkey.

This was actually awesome, appreciate the love shown to our beloved Raptors. Would love to see a 2nd 100 days where you mutate the raptors further and defeat the overseer

To clarify, once a dinosaur has more than 20 mutations on its counter that dinosaur will not spawn ANY mutations. To continue stacking mutations you need to breed that dinosaur with one that has fewer than 20 mutations, which is why the chance is halved, because only one parent can create a mutation. Don't expect that if you breed two dinosaurs with over 20 mutations each that there'll still be rare mutations, because there won't! (This causes a big problem when you get a mutation on a female. The baby will have the x/20 mutations on their father's line, plus the mutation from whichever parent caused it. When you breed it back with the male to transfer the stat it's then going to have 2x/+1 in total. Doesn't matter so much if the male already has more than 20/20 though since it's not going to cause a mutation anyway, but if it happens early in the line you're better off not using the mutated female to avoid artificially pushing up the mutation counter on your male.)

This was amazing! So cool to see the Raptors in the spotlight! Never had a raptor with 20k health before, I wish you had damage numbers on so I could see how hard they were hitting! Great video! Would love to see you trying to complete Ark with other off-meta dinos! Cheers!

I have done the same kind of challenge where I have to beat the Center map in 100 days but I can only use the smithy no fabricator, I made it into a serie's and is still posting episode's right now I have 17 parts up, and there is still a few more parts to go up befor I'm done. I agree not having a incubator or the airconditioners are a PAIN, hence why I desided to use mamels insted of dinosaurs.

I'd pay for a dedicated video on the specifics of taming, breeding, an explanation of mutations, and how you use Awesome Spyglass, S+ and any other mods or features you use to assist. You explain it in a concise way, which is conducive to good retention. At least, for me. When people ramble or include too much tangential info, I have a hard time absorbing the thing I'm trying to understand. I have a good understanding of it already, but many of the details I had to gather through observation and context. I think you could produce the most useful video explanation.

For mutations it is a lot easier if you make all the female 0/0 breeders the same level. That way it’s much easier to spot the mutation when you hatch a lot at once. Yeah it’ll take a little more time, but it usually is faster to get this than to get a mutation

Tbh, although im still extremely amaze of how u managed to succeed for the most part in this pretty unique and overwhelming challenge, what im most amazed is the fact the view count is this low. I mean, was a pretty well done video all and all. Not just saying that on a whim either, i regularly watch videos from known ark youtubers and this clearly wouldnt lose to most of them when comes to content and engagement. That said i noticed it only has been 3 months from ur 1st video here so im guessing is just a timing issue before things will get really hectic for u in a very good way lol Amazing job!

Man, you can save yourself a ton of single player headaches by using the -preventhibernation launch option. This will allow artifacts and resources to respawn normally along with being able to use the dino search option properly if you use the s+ tek transmitters in episodes. There is a great mod too called "creature finder deluxe" if you want to eliminate the grind of finding high level dinos without help

1:24 this particular mountain is marked as Iron Hill on my map. I always do my start here. There should be another explorer note on top, and one in the jungle near the beach on the southwest side of the islet.. Also, riddled with raptors, good place to start your taming project.

Raptors are such an amazing early game tame, sure there’s other Dino’s that are so much stronger, but they’re a small and easy to control fairly strong and fast dino, and they’re so cute, they’re pretty good Dino’s 😊

I haven’t played ark in a while but it was definitely a fun challenge to see! 🙌🏻

I have not played ark seriously since 2017 but just downloaded and it want to give it a go. The part that excites me the most is the RTS element because I actually envisioned a game that had both fps and rts since that weird command and conquer game that did that.

This video helped me understand breeding more than any guide, thanks!

One of the best and most shocking 100 days I've ever seen I wasn't expecting the raptors to make it so far that was just amazing well done 👏

A litlle tip: if you leave some levels on your dino and you get Yuty roared you will be able to cancle the roar with the leveling animaition. It obviously doesnt cancel the whole thing but those few seconds can save your live.😅

Loved the video. I'm still fairly new to this game. I seem to be in that minority group though who still love my raptors. Can't wait to see what you do next.

I mean ya, raptors are beast af. Great pack dinos. I did notice you never use your pack buff. On PS4 it's R3, not sure on PC.

What a challenge

Great video! I was impressed with how well the raptors did.

Before I get into this big long speal, you have earned my sub, because this is the kind of content that floats my boat. Since you said that you plan on doing a similar challenge for other maps, here is my 2 cents, whether you choose to listen to it or not. If you could do one map with terror birds, nice. For scorched, thornies or wolves, for abberation, ravagers, and i guess you could allow lighty pets, so you can deal with the annoying things that go bump in the night, although it would be cool to see you circumvent it by the flashbang fruit, at the cost of stunning your own stuff of course, ext velos, gen 1 the furry hulks or the turtles for the lols, gen 2 could be noglins, you could tame things to use for taming them, but after that, you can oy use mind control, unless you can't use that for missions, in which case idk, because shadowmanes are actually quite good, and it seems to me like you are looking for more of a challenge in these things.

I am surprised your raptors were able to take down a max level giga. With the c button, you could have done more damage with the raptor pack boost...

Enjoyable video! Well done. It did bug me that you killed those first few baby raptors because they did not have the stats you wanted, as you could have used those for the metal runs without risking your breeders.

Good vid just a side note that when you use 0/0 females they should be the same stats as your original male to maximize mutation chances and you can also pick out mutations by levels

I own this game and only played it a handful of times. I didn't realize it was this deep. Think I'll be doing a deep dive tomorrow.

Fun fact: If you go onto your dinosaurs inventory and force-feed them, it heals them rapidly, and you can do this until they’re at full health. I don’t know if this is a new feature (or even an intended one), but I once got a raptor from almost dead for health in under a minute using this trick.

A truly HEROIC tale. Well done, sir.

You did amazing especially to defeat bosses with them and really enjoyed the video! 🙂🙂🙂

great video mate. i have 2400hours in ark, but learn every day. its the first time im noticing that lower level of wild dinos givie much quicker progress to mutations/dino strengh, because 150+2 is much better progress than 450+2. im playing on primal fear with wildd 380 wyvern. after taming they are 539. a +2 mutation feels like nothing... xD

This is amazing! I'm using raptors to kill the dragon boss from here on out. With the yuty buff they would be insane

I'm pretty late but ngl this was a rlly impressive challenge, I didn't expect any bosses killed much less all except for the overseer xD, great job, also idk if you know about this or if was due to time limitations, but just wanted to suggest it in case you don't, it helps to spot mutations a lot if you get a batch of females with the same stats as the male for the 0/0s, you just keep an eye on the levels of the babies and once theres a increase in the level easy mutation spotted

Late into this one because I only just found it, but I played on an unofficial ARK server cluster for about 7 years or so. I had a line (Very poorly bred because I am terrible at it) of Tek raptors that were capable of beating numerous bosses. I beat all three difficulties of Broodmother and Megapithicus with just tek raptors. I never tried the dragon due to pathing in the arena and the fire breath being my concerns. But yes, can confirm, even on MP servers Raptors are 100% valid. Outside of boss fights my raptors were nearly unbeatable. Though I was not as crazy as you and I did use appropriate mounts for the caves. A Bary makes the water sections on the land caves a cakewalk.

Good efforts man! raptor power! Little tip for water caves, if you mix ghille with scuba, dinos have less aggression range, mixed with a lazardous chowder, you can remove the scuba tank for a ghillie chest!

I learned that, although it's a more complicated, it's slightly quicker to run two mutation lines at once, as long as you're not intending to exceed 20 mutations total. (Though I would still always do them separately myself.)
