so little fun fact about trinkets: trinkets have a set order of droping which generates every run so to get a second copy of trinket you have to cycle through all of them (or be lucky with broken modem doubling it)

That, and if you have Contract from Below, if you get a trinket as a room clear, it'll double! I found this out a few days ago while rocking with 2 Leaking Pens

I said this a couple of videos before but I think a Panic Button R Key run would be pretty funny. Every time you get "hit" the run restarts. Maybe not a challenge persay, since R Key is broken strong, but I mean it could be funny to see how many loops it'd take for you to make it to Delirium or something like that.

I came up with this challenge idea a while ago You start with pluto, soy milk, meat cleaver and use debug 8 for infinite charges. Now each time you enter a room, you have to use meat cleaver twice to split the enemies I just thought that something about mini isaac shooting mini tears to kill mini enemies was funny lol

I think a cool challenge would be give yourself blindfold so you can't shoot tears and only deal damage with finger, you have to end the run with only finger damage

It's not exactly a challenge, but I think it could make for an interesting video. You play the same seed twice, one time you go for devil deals, and the other time you do angels and try to see which run ends up being better.

I love your videos to the point where I have watched almost all of them it feels in like 2 months even to the point where I rewatch some of them or have them in the background while I am making things. A challenge I saw on another youtuber once which might be fun to try: -two brimstones -quad shot -triple shot -eve's mascara -polypheumus -playdough cookie (cuz rainbow) -any other item similar to those, meaning more damage but less fire rate. The idea is to *only* start charging in active rooms (minmaxing excluded, stuff like breaking fires, poops etc) Every tears up are banned, other stuff is fine.

15:23 mom's box doubles the effect of trinkets, the trinket that teleports you when you use your active item has a synergy with mom's box that makes it activate teleport 2.0. You dropped mom's box and you got into a random room

As someone who used to write "GULP THE BUTTER!" in my favorite Isaac streams back in 2019, I'd soooo love to see a challenge run including that. Maybe one in which you HAVE to constantly use an active item but you also have butter gulped, so everytime you use it, you - OOPSIE! BUTTER FINGERS! - drop it on the ground

I'm pretty sure, also I think a fun middle ground rule would be allowing items you got specifically from or using trinkets I.E. devil treasure rooms, my soul for deals, store credit, adoption papers, stuff like that, because there's a good amount of trinkets specifically for getting items.

Love the chaotic energy from this challenge. I feel like it would also be cool to do one where you're actually allowed to not take some trinkets if it would be bad for you. Also taking some items if you have a trinket that would allow for it (like taking something from the store if you have store credit or a devil item if you have your soul), I think the strategy behind what item to actually go for would be nice to see.

fun fact, pica is actually pronounced paika (p-eye-ka) rather than like pikachu. it's a real condition that causes people to compulsively swallow non-edible items, hence the challenge's name!

truly a trinket gulping moment

Challenge ideas: - The Bazooka. Basically a run with Dr. Fetus and Rocket in a Jar, but you're only allowed to pick up/use bomb-type items and trinkets for synergies. You also _don't_ start with any form of bomb immunity (would be too easy otherwise!). For added _fun_, you can decide to restrict your active item to Glass Cannon only, which you may take at the beginning. Any character, any end-boss. (Obviously more difficult with characters w/ low base health, or end-boss that are farther out) - Stars and Scarlet Stripes. You start with the Red Key as your active item, along with the Telescope Lens (which you may Gulp! if you can). The _only_ special rooms you are allowed to visit are Boss Rooms, Challenge Rooms, any kind of Red Room (as defined by "any room created/opened by a Red Key effect", so it works for Crystal Key and Cracked Key as well), Planetariums (as they're already rare as-is) or Ultra Secret Rooms (hope you get lucky). Teleport cards _must_ be avoided as well. Any character may do (Cain would probably help with guaranteed stats-up from pills). Run ends on either Lamb or Delirium. - And Shine Heaven Now. You start with the White Pony, 9 Volt, Monstrance and Salvation. The character is blindfolded, cannot change his active item and all items in the _Devil Room_ pool are banned (no incubus, nor twisted pairs!). Any character, any end-boss, though the Lamb or the Beast would probably be the most thematic? (I'd choose Lazarus, but it'd be interesting to see what character is picked by each player)

A simple challenge idea, but still. Name's "Psychic swing", you play as Forgotten with starting range of 25, Telekinesis active item and anti-gravity passive. Good luck hitting stuff up-close (inspired by my own run i had with too much range-ups)

I’d really like to see either a contact damage only run, or a run where you can only pick up items that synergies with a pre-stated build (E.G. brim synergies) but you start out with at most a quality two item from that build, and just see if you can pull the build together or not. In both cases HP ups are allowed so you can maximise the rigging/survival side. Love the content, still part of my daily wind down routine!

another interesting challenge run would be to do only familiars and like have yourself spawn with brother bobby, sister maggy, and maybe something random so you start with conjoined

Hey Mattman, love your content. An idea I've always wanted to do is Red Key, Book of Virtues, and a few battery items, and only take items from red rooms and change floors using I AM ERROR rooms! Anyway, great vid

I think an interesting challenge would be to forcibly use bad items and cannot override them. Maybe a run where you start with Strange Attraction, or one where you use Bob's Brain, or maybe even "curse of cursed" runs, where you start with cursed eye and curse of the tower.

Hi Matt! Love u! Here´s a challenge, a run with Apollyon but you cannot take items, just void them, GL and really appreciate ur content

Challenge Idea: Boomsday. All items that go kaboom You don't have to kill things with explosions, but if it goes boom and you can access the item- you must take it. Cannot pass up any explosive effect, cannot accept an item that has nothing to do with explosives (even if only ever so slight chance of something going boom.) If inaccessible, can be skipped. Tears Up effects can only be gotten if your tears have an item that makes them regularly go boom. Also Host Hat/Pyromaniac are forbidden. For this, Black Candle is permitted. The challenge is all becoming a danger to yourself. Pickups are fine, but consumables must tie to an explosion happening somehow. PHD is permitted. Also Curse of The Tower is mandatory... But due to making taking damage explosive... Allows other "Triggers on damage" things due to encouraging spawning explosives. Just as a little mercy rule. Also due to the unpredictable nature of Glitch Items, technically has a chance of being explosive related. That, and they are extremely rare so why not? Go for it. Trinkets with potentially explosive results are okay too. Safety Scizzors does fall under the umbrella of bomb drops but also explosion defense so... Yeah, set your own rule on whether it is banned or not. Combat isn't restricted to blowing stuff up, just most of the stuff you find along the way.

My suggestion is, if possible, a full curse of the blind run where there's a mod that removes the ability to see what you've picked up, so you have to infer what items you grabbed based on stat changes and stuff. Could be a cool way to flex your game knowledge. Bonus points if you can disable sprite changes
